Awhile back, I applied with my universities EAP, Education Abroad Program, for a semester Germany, and a couple of days ago I was accepted, providing I don't fail my classes next quarter. Starting in August, I will be spending 7 glorious months in Göttingen studying in Georg-August! So, I am in need of recommendations. Where should I go, what should I see, what to avoid. I plan to travel as much as possible while I'm there, so anywhere and everywhere is up for grabs.
Thanks everybody

Hmmm ... God, that is difficult ... Well, you obviously have to see Berlin, because it is the capital ... But it's also a beautiful city ... And then there's Munich, which I personally think is very beautiful as well, and Cologne, and another absolutely beautiful city is Freiburg ... At the moment I can't think of any other place, but if I come up with something else I'll let you know ...

Ohh - and if you have never been to Italy you absolutely have to go there ... And Paris, as well ...

This is a great list so far everybody; thanks!! I definitely plan on hitting all the major cities. I especially want to see Munich around Christmas time. I was wondering if there were any out of the way places that I should look for, anything small but interesting?
