Ok, so I watched the movie yesterday. Guess most of you haven't seen it so far, so I'm not gonna spoil. But I'm very much looking forward to the discussions.

omg! i just saw the movie. uterally amazing...although feel it didn't compare much to book, Dumbledore to me seemed a bit harsh and evil in this one till the end...just something about him, but great movie and great scenes with our lovely couple esp dancing

Yep ... I can only agree : Especially when he was so furious and shaking Harry, I was kinda like, no that's not Albus ... But at the end he was okay ... But apart from that I really like the movie and I'll try to see it in English asap ...

Did anyone else think that the final task was a bit rushed and was a bit of a damp squib? I have seen it twice now and I have missed it both times, does Albus pick Minerva up like all the other lads do to the girls when they are dancing? I loved her smile when he led her to the dance floor and you so know that Albus is sleeping on the couch after siding with Severus rather than Min over Harry in the tournament. Also loved Fred and George when they declared "GO DRAGON"

My friend Jo-Ann and her husband saw it yesterday, and told me that it was incredible. Though she also said that she was pretty sure that because there was a new person doing the score the music was a little disapointing. Anyone agree/disagree? I'm going to see it tonight and writing a review on it for my campus newpaper. I am also going to have someone snap a photo of my friends et moi outside the theatre to put in the paper too...because we're all dressing up. Because we are that cool. (lol)

I have seen it twice now and I have missed it both times, does Albus pick Minerva up like all the other lads do to the girls when they are dancing? I was looking for that, but I didn't see it. Did anyone else seem to hear a rise in on-screen cheering when they walking onto the dancefloor? Snape was also very cool in this movie...pulling up his sleeves to smack both boys. Albus was a bit aggressive in this film, but I think that's okay. The movie was awsome even if it was a little off from the book, if it had followed the book exactly Minerva would not have had as much screen time and who would have known Albus set fire to the dormitory curtains in his fourth year!

I could have watched those two walking on the dance floor the 2,5 hours !!! It was sooooooooooooo lovely and obvious... But i didn´t see Albus lifting up Min, that would have been breath-taking !!!! And yes, I agree taht Albus had to sleep on the couch for sure after the little "arguing"

Instead of writing one of three papers I have to do I'll write about the movie. I loved it, and think it is by far the best. I loved the way it was shot, and the kids are improving as actors. It moves so fast though, but I understand the time constraints they were under. It is funny, however, because you are like wow they just did 1/6 of the book in seven minutes! As to our lovely couple. I admit I was disappointed in the dancing scene. I loved the two looks Minerva gave Albus, I couldn't notice if he returned them, but I wish I could have actually seen more of them dancing. However Minerva gave many more open looks of love in this movie, and if you add that with her new necklace and the new make-up I think it screams they are together. I really liked how Minerva was portrayed in this movie, because more of her 'softer' side was shown and less of the strictness. I love the argument, because it really comes out how much she cares. "He is a boy, not bait!" As to Albus...at first I was disturbed by Albus' more rash behavior but I have come to appreciate it. I think this director wanted to show us what was going on beneath Albus' calm exterior, and to develop the character more deeply. Though Albus' external calm is a major component of who he is, this more upset one is growing on me. Overall I think it is by far the best, and plan to see it many more times. (Now I'll know where to focus my attention on possible shippy moments) Christy

i agree with you on Albus' behaviour.....as for the going on between Albus and Minerva, ive noticed he has a ring on his wedding finger??? might just be one of his rings i think, but...you never know lol as for the dancing, you don't see Albus lifting Minerva, it's only victor krum and think the other either was ginny/nevile or cho/cedric?...great to see it though hope its in a deleted scene when the dvd comes out

Ohhhhh what made me giggle no end was when the weird sisters were singing and the band conductor was crowd surfing, makes me laugh as as I write about it. Maddness!
I asked about Albus lifting Minerva up because everyone else did it and I was trying to see if he did to her because that would be amazing. I'll have to go again now to see lol
Was quite surprised to hear Ron say "P**s off" though, anyone else surprised.
Professor Dumblydore...Loved when Maxime called him that and oh did I cringe when she ate what ever she ate out of Hagrid's beard.
I quite liked the musical score with this film.

lol yeah i was shocked it was like slience for 10 seconds then Pi$$ off lo li was shocked and i actually laughed. same with the crowd surf and the eatin gthe thing out of hagrids beard, same reactions lol. Like the ferret scene though totally extended it with moody chasing malfoy, bit rude what he did to mcgonagall for checking him, but was funny " didn't albus tell you that?" "...might have lol" laughed so hard at that, it was just his expression and shrug of the sholders lol

I have just returned from a night of freezing cold, a rotten bus and a god brilliant movie!! Am I in love with GOF?? YES!!! I counted 6 AD/MM moments and will hopefully find more on my next trip I also loved the way Albus said wee at least twice made me think he had been spending a wee bit to much time with the Scottish lass (of course it’s just his accent but do I care?)!! Her face on the dance floor was brilliant, she was in the film quite abit even if she didn't say trillions (but what she did say was amazing!) Albus was a bit more complicated, I thought he was a bit too rough and kind of scary at times but by the end he earned my OK. (Do I see plot bunnies for his story on burning the curtains?) The animation was amazing, I couldn't believe how realistic the maze and boat were! Snape was also great in that one scene where he kept hitting and pushing down Ron and Harry (giggle) Does anyone else agree that the death eaters look like they are from the Klu Klux clan but in black?? Voldemort's makeup was brilliant he was so freaky. GOF is by far my favourite Harry Potter film now; the kids have grown up so well and act brilliantly. Moody and Cedric were played wonderfully and the quidditch world cup animation sent tingles down my spine. Maxime and Hagrid were just so darn cute and those lovely AD/MM moments not to mention David Tennant providing some rather nice eye candy in that leather coat (drool). A very, very high rating from this happy shipper.

I laughed so hard at the ferret part. everyone in the theater started applauding!!!!!! i'm not kidding! I loved the movie, but it went way too fast. The dance practice seen was hilarious! along with the weasley twins. As for AD/MM... all my friends just looked at me when they started dancing (I am the only AD/MM shipper in my group of friends) and rolled their eyes as i responded "Told you so." ;D I loved the myrtle scene. LOL

Does anyone else agree that the death eaters look like they are from the Klu Klux clan but in black?? Yes! For me that was the scariest part; I'm sure that was the directors intent.

the ku klux thing freaked me out. but then again a connection can be made as both are racist groups. one by color, another by blood. but when I pictured death eaters, that wasn't how i imagined.

Okay I just saw the GoF today or should I say yesterday but anyways it was AWESOME!! I was right and the dragon scene was AWESOME ahahahhah And you know the dragons in Gof looks like the dragons from the movie Reign of Fire. But it look cool anyways.
But to amandahleigh I do agree with your friend a bit. The music could have been WAY better. Plus there is so many scenes where that music can be improved. I'm only saying this because I wanted to play some of the songs in the Harry Potter movie in band. I know I'm a band geek ehheheheheh.
You know the band instructor I thought that was Filius Flitwick. I didn't really see Filius Flitwick well the one we know with white hair and fuzzy hair. I wonder what the movie would have been like if only Richard Harris was playing Dumbledore. Maybe he would have made Dumbledore look calm. And I love Snape in this film. Though he doesn't really have a lot to do in this film but I still enjoy watching him swating Harry and Ron that was hilarious!! AWESOME MOVIE OVER ALL! I'm going to buy it when it comes out, that's for sure!

Saw the movie yesterday and are still in this very exstatic mood... G.O.F is in my opinion the best yet, and actually had a lovely effect on me, when you compare to P.O.A. I remember after seeing Poa in the cinemas I was clouded by disapointment, but this time my expectations were just about satisfied. The movie has bits of everything, I laughed myself silly countless times, sighed romantically every now and then (Yay for all the lovely admm shipper moments), stared my eyes out of my eyesockets in sheer excitement, got teary-eyed sniffing sadly, and lots of other emotions. I love the extra scene with Albus, Severus and Minerva (is Moody there too?) discussing Harry and the turnament, and felt like 'twacking' Albus with a club when he said: "I agree with... Severus..." Argh! The imfamous ferret-scene was hilarious! Moody chasing Malfoy! Moody screwing his face up at Min... Heh heh... I agree with many of you, the death eaters were not exactly as I had imagined, but they're cool in that scary way, so that's fine with me. Voldemort was downright scary! Heh heh, funny nose he had, or should I say hadn't! The first and second tasks were brilliant, but I definitely missed a lot of things in the third task... It would have been nice with a few horrible monsters.. Dumbledore in this movie took some time getting used to, but I think I'm starting to warm up to him.. I loved his line about the ugly curtains... Heh heh... What a "kanalje" (Old danish word = scoundrel) he was in his younger days Got candy stucked in my throat in Snape's funny scene trying to get Ron and Harry to study... *giggles* Logically I would think if most did lift their partners under the yule dance, then it's most likely Albus did too... Though again, perhaps not.. I hope when the dvd comes out there will be lots and lost and heaps and heaps of delicious deleted scenes... Yay.. All ffor now, from the over-jolly Pal...

I thought the Death Eaters were perfect because I had been imagining them as looking like KKK members in black, though I hadn't relaized they'd have such creepy masks on, the skull things (*shivers*)
Did anyone else cry through half of it? lol. I cried when Neville saw the spider get tortured, I cried when Cedric asked Harry to bring his body back, I cried when his father started yelling, 'that's my boy!', I cried when Dumbledore told everyone what happened...You'd think I hadn't known in advance what was going to happen!
I was a litle miffed that there was no mention, even just a name, of Bellatrix Lestrange. They made it seem like Barty Crouch was the only one who tortured the Longbottom's. *sigh* I mean, I understand the time constraints, but they could have cut .8 seconds of dragon chase to throw in .8 seconds of "Bellatrix Lestrange is a Death Eater too!" or "This is where Bellatrix Lestrange should had stood, but she in in Azkaban. PS Lucius, get a haircut. You looklike a wanna-be Veela." (Or maybe not that last part)
;D
I think they're going to need to make three movies out of The Order of the Pheonix.
AL
oh, PS: My little brother complained that Myrtle aged, because she's a ghost and they don't get older. I had to laugh at that. So someone tell the girl who plays Myrtle to stop growing up so she can look 12 years old when she's in the sixth movie! lolol
