I have a feeling it's gonna be something that will make no sense until we read it...as much specualtion as there was on the half-blood prince, it still didn't make sense until the book came out doesn't mean I'm not gonna have fun speculating, but it will proably be of no use Yep, I figure that's how it's gonna be. |

Hmm, I'm not particularly fond of the object-place-person theory. Because of OotP and because Cos was once HBP before she changed it. I don't believe in coincidence, but I honestly think this is a bit of it.
I think that the title refers to a deathly Halloween. There's a great significance of Halloween which has been highlighted in the books.

OotP - *gets distracted reading the scene when Min's class is observed by Umbitch* *Gives up* I can't find it does anything happen?
HBP - I don't know this bok nearly well enough to find it. I can't bear to read it because of well, yes, you know.
I've talked myself out of it thinking that now whilst writing all of that. Halloween seems too obvious and not significant enough for a title. Perhaps it is a deathly place around Halloween.
I'm back to not knowing again.

I actually looked on the HP lexicon with my sister, and nothing happens on Halloween in books 5 and 6  I think if Hallows refers to Halloween it is because 1) Harry's parents were killed on that day, a day chosen by LV for his final horcrux because 2) Halloween is supposed to be a day when magic is at it's strongest and the barrier between the spirit world and the world of the living is at it's weakest, therefore 3) we may see Sirius again (as JK said we would) on Halloween and possibly others who have died. Then again, I could be listening to too many HP podcasts and fan discussions...  |
