I thought I would post the link here. I'll be honest it gets me so worried for the book! I don't want to find out Dumbledore is married to someone else, or not in love with Minerva and the review said we find out about his family. Here's the link, let me know what you guys think: www.nytimes.com/2007/07/19/books/19potter.html

Oh dang................................. I should've stayed away from those spoilers. I'm going crazy now! Most of them are stupid and contradict themselves (some say a particular character dies, while another says the character lives and gets married), though. I can't wait to find out more about Dumbledore. As long as he's not evil, married to someone besides Minerva, in love with someone besides Minerva, or the book plainly says he wasn't in love with Minerva, I think I may be able to live, despite slight disappointment that our ship does not officially sail as cannon.

Me too. Best to hide from the spoilers, though I did love your analogy beMMAD.

Even if it weren't canon, I'd like to think that JKR always assumed Minerva was madly in love with Dumbledore. I mean, the hot chocolate scene... and the 'He will not be single handed!'
They're such gorgeous little scenes. Come on, JKR... Let us live in hope! Wouldn't it be nice to think that Dumbledore himself had a little bit of lovin'?

I won't read it, I won't. I refuse to allow anyone to ruin this for me if it kills me. Though the review saying we find out about Dumbledore's family isn't anything knew. We know we find out that. I won't visit this thread again in case of spoilers now.

:0 errr I get nervous when I read some that stuff. I haven't honestly read the spoilers, but I did read the review. I hope the weasleys are alright. There are just so many of them, the odds don't seem to be in their favor. I really hope Minerva is alright (obviously, as we all do here) and when minerva was described as being "dependably, solidly present" I do hope it is foresight into her being okay.
So, I'm officially signing offline tonight, just in case the internet gets flooded with spoilers. I'll be back on four or five days after I've read it. It's not too extreme, I don't think, because all I did last time a book came out was go on google for god's sake and I STILL found out stuff I didnt want to know... ): soo I'm not even going to chance it... I think I can live without the internet for a few days.
hehe I agree that as long as minerva is alright, none of the other stuff matters- of course we can always hope, though -grin- plus we have a pretty excellent ship, anyway, so even if it's not "official" it is MMADLY ADORABLE!!!!

The NY TImes article made me want to read the book even more now.
I admit I did read some spoilers although I don't believe some of them. I just could not wait.
