Where Harry and Voldemort related? Voldemort descended from the Gaunts through his Mother and his maternal Grandfather said that he had descended from one of the three brothers, the one who got the Resurrection Stone, (their last name is escaping me right now). Dumbledore later confirms Harry's belief that he descended from the last brother who recieved the Invisibility Cloak from Death and who's grave Harry and Hermione saw in Godric's Hollow. Did I read these parts of the books wrong, or am I right? And though it would be a very distant relation, does this not complicate Harry and Voldemort's connection even further?

Yeah, I think you're right. Near the end there so much was going on that my head was spinning, but they're definitely both mentioned as related to the three Peverells.
