Do you think Warner Bros. would cut for McGonagall for the 7th movie? If they had to , they could cut her. I don't think they will, since she was in all of the previous movies. I know I won't see it if they cut her.

they probabley wont because in the seventh book when harry goes back to hogwarts and he sees mcgonagall being spat in the face it is the first time he could do one of the unforgivable curses. a.k.a. he has a lot of respect for her otherwise he couldnt of done the spell

They can't cut out Hogwarts and she's the one who basically commands Hogwarts and leads the fighting. Unless Maggie doesn't want to be in it, then she'll probably be in the movie.

I can see them removing her if they wanted to. They've altered story lines in other places for their own purposes after all. However, I think 'kissofdeath' has a point. It's unlikely that they would remove the scene in the Ravenclaw common room for one thing. For another, Minerva does lead the fight.

I could see them doing it, but I don't think they should because she does play an important role in the seventh book, even if it isn't a lot really. You know what I mean? ~mmadlyinlove~

Well they just cant, otherwise someone will get kicked hard by me. SHe is so vital to the plot that if she was cut, there would be chaos and corruption in the whole story line in my opinion. Honestly, they have no reason to cut her out, it would be stupid and just wrong, especially to Maggie who works hard with her role.

omg, I think we should make a pact, if she's cut out of the movie and it's not Maggie's choice - heads will roll. I mean seriously they can't cut her out, I mean....COMMANDER OF DESKS. and plus I think they owe us one, I mean they haven't just tried to sink our ship they've tried to like... I can't think of any euphanism bad enough for the 'he's gay he's gay he's gay' parade...I thinking maybe they nuked us?
(just so I don't get sued and/or arrested, I do not want literal heads to literally roll. It's all said with love)

If they do, they will be ambushed by HP fans waving ... something threatening. Like OOTP - practically a brick.

sparrabether has a point ... the Stunning scene was so important and it wasn't even there in OotP ... but the common room scene is important and they should have time, given that DH movie is releasing in two parts. Cheers!

I don't really know if they will cut her out or not... I mean: they cut the "he-will-not-besingle-handed" thing and the stunner attack... *has lost all faith in WB* if they have done this... Minerva was super-important in the 5th book and she just barely appears, so, if they've already done that... *wondering if she'll go see the 2 parts of the 7th film... yes!!! they're is still hope*
anyway, they better let her in because otherwise... mwahahahahahaha.... I wouldn't wanna be in the shoes of the one who makes the decision to cut her out....

She's in the first half and she's in the second half as well. Now, how much of it they cut I don't know. Considering the fact that she's battled cancer recently and how tired it's made her, she may not have been able to do some of what McGonagall did in the books. It just depends on how she felt/feels, I think is the biggest part of all of that. So, I guess come November we'll get an idea.

I've been wondering how she'll appear in the first one, considering in the books she's non-existent until just before the Battle of Hogwarts commences.
Of course, she'll probably be at Dumbledore's funeral. Then, as a scene on Hogwarts Express with Neville, Luna and Ginny was filmed, I'm guessing everything won't be in Harry's perspective. The movies will probably be interlaced with what happens to other characters.
Even if she doesn't have to do all those crazy stunts, I hope Maggie can still shine as Professor McGonagall during the Battle of Hogwarts. She can just run and scream and it would be awesome, because you know it's Maggie.

Well, she's in the cast list for the two movies on IMDb and Wikipedia -- highly unreliable sources but I think the information is legitimate. Idk...

I would love to see the Common room scene, and the one with her calling Severus a coward, and the 'CHARGE!!' part. Also, it woudl be truly endearing to see her at the funeral crying her heart out for Albus. I however have a feeling that it won't be in the movies.
I really wa spissed that the stunners attack and all wasn't in OotP. I have seen pictures of Minerva in a wheelchair reading a wizarding newspaper. Maybe they first taped it, then saw it wasn't really necessary?

SO can't wait for the films though will be sad if they ruin them like they kinda did with the 5th one.
