I just realized what really bothers me about Umbridge: She looks far to elegant. She's supposed to look ridiculous! E.g. her hair, I could imagine Umbridge with little pigtails with pink ribbons, or something equally disgusting, but not with that elegant haircut.
Oh well, I'm probably just being overly critical.

I love the picture of her in her office! This pics have inspired me to create my first ever icon. Unfortunately it had to be done using Windows Picture Manager and Paint, as all my free trials of the super-duper software have expired. Oh well.

I don't think she looks 'umbridge' enough and I agree with TigerLime about her looking to elegant. They should have drabbed her up. I agree that she is very elegant looking, but I think this is where Imelda Staunton's acting ability will come into play. She is so good at playing to characters and I can just see her killing the Umbridge character. On another thread people were saying she doesn't look like a toad (which I think she would be happy to hear ;D), but I think it will be attitude. OOOOOOH I am sooooo excited! I can't wait to see her in this part and the movie as a whole! |

Question about the new pics: is there a new Dudley? I briefly saw a small version of the new pic of the Dursleys (before my internet connection messed up for some reason), and it looked like there was a character change.

There isn't a new Dudley as far as I (or the IMDB staff) know, it's still Harry Melling. He still kiiind of looks the same to me, only he's been Demented. *giggles* And he has a new haircut. The IMDB also lists the actor playing Aberforth as Jim McManus, has anyone heard of him?
I agree that Imelda Staunton looks fabulous as Umbridge! I've never actually seen her in anything before and she doesn't look like a toad, but in the pic above and the one of her in her office (sheer perfection) her expressions are exactly like ones I can imagine Umbridge making!
I'm sad Miranda Richardson's left, though, she was hilarious as Rita - and now (unless they decide to get a new actress) they won't be able to have the Quibbler fiasco!
All this excitement over Movie 5 (TRAILER COMING OUT BEFORE THE END OF THE YEAR! WOO!) is only making me want more information on the production of Movie 6 =S Apparently Maggie 'wants to do a play in between her Harry Potter filming commitments', but I hope that she stays. And that Christian Coulson comes back. I'd just die if she didn't play Min in HBP, but at least we know she's definitely in OotP (let's hope they have the 'He will not be single handed!' scene).
Aaaanyway, the movie's not out till next summer; I'm getting too far ahead of myself - back to the current pics of OotP - is it just me that got freaked out by the fact that in the picture of the DA (http://www.imdb.com/gallery/ss/0373889/q.jpg?path=gallery&path_key=0373889&seq=6), Harry is the only one wearing a cardigan?

The woman that played Rita decided to leave?! Darn it! She did a really good job.
If Maggie leaves, the movies will be all over in my opinion! (not at all saying that she will)
They better leave in the "he will not be single-handed" part in the movie. That's one of the parts I'm most looking forward to.

My question is what happened to her bow in her hair? It said in the book Toady had a bow in her hair all the time. I always pictured her with a bow. *I'm ranting* But other than that she's darn close to the one in my head. She looks like Martha Hover from Deserpate Housewives.

I have to say, Emma Thompson looks amazingly crazy in this pic. It's awsome.
Also, I'm a little spoiled on Umbridge because there was a teacher at my school who looked, sounds and acted exactly like Umbridge, to the point where everyone called her Umbridge becasue no one knew her real name, but I think she looks good. I also think that in the context of Hogwats that haiedo is pretty absurd, with or without the bow.

Thats Funny, becuause at my school There is a teacher who looks exactly like Umbridge also. I don't know if I have already said that, so sorry if I have. My friends and I have been calling her that, and she just laughs at us. (SHe knows we are all freaks) My teach's name is Mrs. VanBurean... well at least I think thats how it's spelled.  |

Umbridge doesn't look as horid as i imagined her, its gonna be a lot harder to hate her now. She actually looks quite nice.

This is supposed to be Umbridge? She isn't nearly as ugly as she shoul be. And why isn't she wearing robes? OK, I know, being angry about the disappearance of robes from HP movies makes no difference. At least McGonagall looks like a real witch |

I have to say Umbridge isn't anything like I imagined her to be, but Imelda Staunton is a great actress so i'm sure she will make the caracter believable. I agree with betabeatrix though, why is only Minerva wearing robes???. Oh well, she does look great in them.

I don't think Sybil or The Toad ever wore robes in the books. I agree though they need to bring the robes back. Harry, Ron and Hermione almost never had them on during the last book.
