Warner Bros. has cast Evanna Lynch (above) as Luna Lovegood. I have to say she wasn't how I imagined Luna, she looks cynical rather than scatterbrained and I didn't think her hair would be that colour, it's too platinum - it should be darker, more strawberry blonde. What do you think of her?

I thought she was okay for the role. She has the huge grey eyes and her hair and facial expression are subject to change. I still have original images in my mind whenever I read the books, so honestly, I don't care much.

Hmm she seems ok to me. I figure that as long as they look ok for the roll, it's only the quality of their acting and how close they can get to the cannon character that matters. She looks older than I imagined though, and too normal, but she must be able to act so *fingers crossed*

We also have to remember that this isn't the final product. She may look quite different after going through make-up, wardrobe, and all that jazz. (Then again, I don't like what those people did to Albus, but I digress.) I read that she is a huge fan of the books, so I hope that means she'll do her best to stay in canon.

Thats true, and she could be a really good actor! And she's read the books, not like Gambon!

I imagined her a bit "weirder"... but, let's see what make up and wardrobe can do. If she's fan of the books, I think we're safe. Isabel

I dunno. I pictured her a little... more shy looking and with darker blonde hair. I'm sure she'll be find after they add the costumes and makeup.

I agree, her hair is too... silvery-platinum, when the books specifically say her hair was dirty blonde. And she looks very... aware, not scatter-brained or dreamy, like I imagined.

I don't think its fair to judge Evanna by the way she looks. Especially when it comes to how blonde her hair is. It all depends on her acting. For example, the books specifically say that Minerva has black hair. But Maggie plays her as a blondish brunette. It doesn't make much of a difference what her hair color is since she's plays the role perfectly.

She is the perfect Luna. She is now one of my favorite characters in the movies.
