Hillary blatently lied and didn't appear to care that she got caught. McCain is scary - as in he'd be worse than Bush and that's saying something. He's way too gung-ho. Obama gets my vote - or he would if i was american. He seems like he's got his head screwed on the right way. I'd just like to take this opportunity to beg any American voters DON'T VOTE REPUBLICAN! Learn from your mistakes! If the rest of the world got a say you can bet we'd vote Democrats. Please, please, please - no more idiots in the white house! aphelion

Oh good lord, don't get me started.
Although I am an Indepedant, I grew up in a Republican household, but WOW McCain is hardcore-old-fashioned-republican.
I read his article about homosexual unions, and he seems to be a bit homophobic. I understand the whole "God wanted man and woman to be together". I really do, I went to Catholic School for 13 years, but honestly. There is no need to be homophobic.
Hilary Clinton just keeps using tears AND the fact that she i s a woman to get votes and to get past the primaries. It's pathetic and she is making the rest of the women of America look bad. As an American Woman, I really don't want her to represent us as the first woman president, I just do not feel she is the best choice in any way, shape, or form.
Obama seems to assert his views in a respectable way, and he seems to have a plan for the healthcare (and lord knows I need that!) and the education system, which is lacking in several spots because of the friggin No Child Left Behind Act. He seems to have a plan for our country, and I really think that he will follow through.
Sorry, rant over.

Hilary; I'm not an American, but Obama seems like he's watched too many episodes of the West Wing and is way too glib.
Hilary seems to have some sort of idea of what she's doing and sure, she's lied, but you can't tell me any politician isn't a liar. Most of them would sell their own children to be elected.

Me for Hillary. She has the right ideas. Obama, I'm wary about. I don't trust him. x.x Though I'm not American, I follow their politics. It's more fun than the politics here, what can I say?

I'm not American, but from the coverage we've got so far I'd vote for Obama. I'd definitely vote Democrat and I see a lot of admirable qualities in Clinton, but I think it's about time someone vibrant and exciting shakes people up. I realise this could end up being destructive, but first world politics has been making a mess of things playing it straight as well and I'm interested in seeing an alternative. Having said that, obviously I'm only privy to whatever our (Australian) media chooses to buy and broadcast from American networks.

Ew, Hillary, really? I don't understand at all what people see in her, she makes me vomit - like in my mouth.
I've been canvassing and campaigning in South & North Carolina, Texas and Georgia for Barack Obama this past year and if Hillary wins the primaries I think I should seriously consider moving abroad.
Either wayy, make sure you all go out and vote for whoever you choose if you're able.

I don't like any of them, but I chose McCain. He's old, but honestly the others don't cut it for me.
I don't like Obama and although the idea of a female president is appeasing, we are currently fighting against countries like Iraq, who view women as weak. If we have a woman president at this point of time, then not only will we be laughed at, but we will be seen as a weak country, and therefore we will not be taken seriously.
My opinion.

See, Obama would be cool if he wasn't all for third trimester abortion. As in they kill an infant when he or she is crowning by giving them trauma to the head. Yeah, I really can't get past that. I'm not totally against abortion, but COME ON. It's horrible.
And Hillary's kind of out anyway, so whatever.
Not that I really like John McCain all that much, but I don't know, I just get this horrible feeling that Obama is going to throw our country into a tailspin. So if I had to choose, I'd pick McCain.

Now that Hilary Clinton is no longer viable, I think I'd vote for John McCain. For some reason I just do not trust Barack Obama. Not that it really matters what I think, being Australian, but it does influence Australia quite a bit seeing as every government of ours wants to be bosom buddies with America.
Honestly, I can understand allying ourselves with America, in fact it makes perfect sense and I completely agree with it, but both Rudd and Howard fawn over George W Bush. God, Kevin Rudd and his salute, now that pissed me off. It was pathetic.

I don't think that's 100% true.
On Obama's site under issues it says "he has been a consistent champion of reproductive choice and will make preserving women’s rights under Roe v. Wade a priority as President. He opposes any constitutional amendment to overturn the Supreme Court's decision in that case."
In a letter written by Obama he stated, "On an issue like partial birth abortion, I strongly believe that the state can properly restrict late-term abortions. I have said so repeatedly."
He did vote against a bill that would make partial birth abortions illegal, but according to what I read the fine print of the bill basically would make all abortions illegal unless it was necessary to save the life of the mother.
I am pro-choice (barely), but not pro-abortion and I have been doing lot of reading up on the issues lately so I can make an informed decision come election time.
