i need to come up with good points for the idea that violence in the media affects children.
media is tv, movies, music, news, books... ext
any ideas?

Have you tried a search ( e.g., Google) looking for articles which discuss studies by psychologists, etc.? I would guess that if you started with your statement "effect of violence in the media on child behavior" or "effect of violence in video games on children" or something like that, you would find numerous sources. Google just returned a few good ones for me (and I'm a mom, BTW...my son just turned 4). Good luck on your debate project! Dianne

My local library lets members search databases it has subscribed to (like journals and periodicals and etc.) from home. If you are a member of your local library and they have a website - Google would find it - then they might have something similar. My library's website also has a lot of links you can access to other websites for a variety of topics.
Also, keep in mind when you're researching what your opponent will be likely to argue. If you think of things from their point of view you can come up with rebuttals before the debate starts.
