I just got my copy of Sony Vegas yesterday, and surprisingly, the media library could not be opened. Some message reading: "The media library default could not be opened" kept popping up. And whenever I try to create a new media library, they say the same thing. Anyone has any ideas? Is there better software out there?

I've got no idea. I use Sony Vegas also but have never had that problem. I hope you can get it fixed - once it starts working, it's amazing!

There's 'Mediacoder' which you can download off the net. It's kind of hard to use and I'm not sure if its exactly what you're after but I've been playin around on it and have made a couple of montages. You can change the format of stuff so it can open in Mediaplayer as well. I use it because Youtube videos don't open in Mediaplayer.

Thank you! *bows* I'll try to download that one, as well as re-install Sony Vegas. Maybe that would help. x.x
