It's not just because of Twilight, Warner Brothers released a statement saying that they needed a bigger opening weekend because of the writers strike, and moving the opening weekend to the summer will most likly give them that.
I also think that it may be because they may need to reshoot somethings. I thought I heard that the movie was previewed, it's quite possible that they got negative feedback and need to fix more then the originally thought.

But, I'm still upset that HBP was moved to July

*whimpers* I wish that I could see HBP sooner...the trailer was good, not the best. But oh well ... gives me something happy to think about next summer. But yea...I read Twighlight but HP kicks butt.

I recently read that there are fans out there going crazy, and someone started a petition (that now has about 23,000 signatures) to move it back to the original date.
Which they totally can't do now, because Twilight took HBP's date.
*growl*
Twilight was an excellent book, but it WILL NOT make a good movie. WILL NOT.
And did anyone see on MuggleNet that they added a random scene where the Weasly's house is invaded and Harry is flirting with a waitress? What the hell?!

I signed the petition!
Are you serious about the harry/random waitress thing? Weird...

As if waiting for the original November date hadn't been long enough. -b

Omg, is that it? Screw that. Make Twilight move.

McGonagallsGirl I completely agree. Edward and his 'dearest' Bella can wait! I love Twilight but I love HP more.

I also think that it may be because they may need to reshoot somethings. I thought I heard that the movie was previewed, it's quite possible that they got negative feedback and need to fix more then the originally thought. But I just read in Sunday's NY Times that the HBP is done filming ... so why did they have to move it back that far?

Its because they want more money. And they probably didnt want competition with Twilight. (that part worked, i'm boycotting twilight the movie anyway)
