Hi, I'm new here and I was just wondering about the difference between plot bunnies and challenges ... I tried asking this on the cbox but they told me to try here! Thanks! Cheers!

Oh, thanks! So suppose I get an idea, lets say a random plot bunny ... I can't write it myself, I want someone else to write it ... so should I put it up on the Plot Bunny Adoption Center or on the Challenge board? Which is better? Thanks a lot!

I think if you have plot thought out and you don't have a lot of details or you don't really care what direction it goes exactly, then put it up for adoption. It may spark the interest of someone else and they can run with it. They should acknowledge you in their fic, since your initial idea was the basis for it.
On the other hand, if you have a plot bunny and have a list of criteria you would like to see in the fic, but are unsure if you can write it yourself, then make it a challenge. Usually challenges have a list of plot points or other random stuff that must be included in the fic. Sometimes people also offer up prizes (like making a banner or what not) for the best fic. That's totally optional though.
Also, I think that with the plot bunny adoption, once a person claims one, only that person tends to write a story for it. With the challenge, several people can take it and write a story.
Hope this helps.
