I saw it today for the first time. The theatre I work for was given complimentary tickets, so I saw it for free. I was Orchestra J, and I was struck by how simple the set was. And then I turned saw that they improvised a tech booth in one of their boxes. I've never seen anything like that. The house of the theatre is decorated with muses and men riding horses. Incrediby appropriate. There were no understudies, luckily, so I saw the lady from Star Trek (I've never seen star treck, but I was reliably informed by a technician friend of mine that she's a big deal), I saw Uncle Vernon, I saw Harry Potter, and I saw Harry Potter naked. And I think Daniel Radcliffe deserves some credit, because once he takes his clothes off, they're off for the rest of the show. I was completely surprised by that. The last 15 minutes, I'd say. I can't even imagine doing that. Also, Richard Griffiths has incredibly unique, but precise articulation. There was really never any question about what he was saying at all. I was really impressed. No one had a mic, and it was a relatively large space, but they managed to fill it, all of them. I would say, if you're in town go see it. Particularly if you get a free ticket

I am a half of an hour away; but I don't know if I would be able to handle the show. I heard it's intensly depressing.

OMG. OMG. OMG. I AM SO FREAKING JEALOUS.
I LOVE CAROLYN MCCORMICK (who plays the mother) and I'm dying to go see it. Unfortunately, I now live in Colorado, and my mom won't let me fly into the city to go see it (I was born in NYC, so I know my way around, and I also have loads of family there).
How was it?

AHH! I'm so jealous! I am absolutely in LOVE with this play, I stole the script from my director actually.
Oh I love it. I've never read anything like it.
