So ... last November, I submitted a poem that I wrote entitled "My Wish". This August, I received a letter from the American Library of Poetry and the letter told me that my poem, "My Wish" had been chosen out of many to be published in a book called "Brilliance". Today, that book came and on page 164 - my poem is there. Since the book won't be on sale in the US for a while, I'll post it here until the book is published.
My Wish
One wish and I'll see you again; my wish Soon our dreams for the Who's world will be lost My heart lies open like an unwrapped dish But I will be with you at any cost. Those two weeks were a dream, one day of time I hope to see you in my nightly dreams For off in the distance, I'm becoming a mine Here, no one can hear these saddening screams. As I stood on the stage, I felt my grief Seussical was over and so were we My heart was breaking like that falling leaf I was being carried out to the sea Our one-feathered Gertrude had found her love But I had to give up my treasured trove.
By: Reena Tretler I don't really know what my emotions were when I wrote this but we had a week to write and edit it and I wrote it in one night. Somehow - I find this is scary because some lines seem like they could fit Albus and Minerva...

Who were you in it? I was Mrs. Mayor the first time and a Jungle Creature the second time. Congrats! Haunting last line! Thanks ... I agree. And we missed each other again. :[

Who were you in it? I was Mrs. Mayor the first time and a Jungle Creature the second time. I love Seussical, it's nothing like any other musical I've been in. I didn't try out for anything so I was a choir member Bird Girl in the Jungle of Nool. At the time of auditions I had never even heard of Seussical. I wish I tried out for Gertrude now because I love all of her songs.

Your poem is lovely... several pieces of my poetry has been published in magazines, but never a book. I am so very happy for you!

A musical about Dr. Seuss. It combines a lot of the storylines (mostly Horton Hears a Who) and has references to other stories. There are some videos of the songs on Youtube.

Nice video. The girl who played the Sour Kangaroo was really good!
I tried to find my school chorus's, but no one has put up on Youtube. You'd think that since someone would since their are some concert performances and Pirates of Penzance videos of ours, but no Seussical. I lost my own copy that my dad taped.

It's a really confusing play ... it's got two or three subplots at the same time.
