Just a little idea that came out of nowhere...I may or may not expand on it.

“Now, Minerva, my love, my Lemon Drop, please try to understand. I would have owled you, but Abe and Alastor made it difficult!”
The crouched tabby in front of him made a sinister rumbling sound deep in her chest and Albus heard the unmistakable sound of claws scraping against the stone of the windowsill. Nervously, memories of past incidents flying through his mind, the wizard backed up.
“It was a matter of pride, my dear, surely you can understand that. I simply couldn’t take their abuse lying down; my honor was at stake!”
The cat yowled furiously and her green eyes blazed with fury. Albus could see her muscles coiling under her magnificent pelt. Oh, Merlin…
“Yes, I know I am five hours late, sweetheart, and I know I worried you sick, but I am here now! Safe and sound and back with you, my dear, where I am supposed to be. Could we not just snuggle into bed and forget my idiotic misadventure?”
Albus screamed as Minerva launched herself at him, spitting and hissing furiously as her claws sank into his chest. This ought to teach the bastard to send her a bloody owl next time!
