How are you like Albus ?

Well since Albus is my favourite character I thought we should have a thread for him too. I hope I'm not the only one who feels I have things in common with him.

Here are the ways I am like Albus,

I believe in indulging my childlike side,

I'm rather eccentric, or possibly just crazy,

I love all things bright and sparkly, and would adore to wear purple robes with golden stars on if I could.

I believe in love, and that it can conquer everything including evil.

I have blue eyes, sadly they don't twinkle unless they only twinkle when I'm not looking.

I can be very gentle,

I feel compassion for all living things,

I believe that everyone is equal,

I have a great sense of humour,

I don't believe in being strict,

I think it's fun to annoy Minerva. ;D

Well that's it, please tell me yours. Have to say I loathe lemon drops though.

Yes, I am like Albus!

I have my inner child and it does come out often, even at school (but rather mature most of the time during class).

I find myself the glue that keeps people together very often. In fact, all my friends were only friends so long because of me (now we have kinda split up because we went to three different schools, but I'm still good friends with every one of them).

I too believe in love.

I hate stereotypes and prejudice. I believe every person deserves rights.

I am very just and have good reasoning. Many people like my advice.

Sometimes I do become manipulative because I can understand and predict how people act, but I don't really like doing it.

I am really good with kids and am very gentle with them. Once, I went to a park with my eight year old cousin (she's ten now) and I ended up playing and watching out for a very large group of kids.

I have a good sense of humor as well.

I don't get mad very easily, but when I explode I do it very much like Albus. Some people are surprised at how mad I get since they think I'm easygoing.

I am also very intelligent (I have been in advanced classes since 8th grade).

That's all I can think of for now.

Um, basically we are clones. Except for the sexual organs.

I mean, truly, I tried to reply with individual traits, but Jeez. I mean, being considerably younger than 150, I'm a baby!Dumbledore at the moment, but truly we are very much alike. Flamboyant dress sense, check, homosexuality, check, overall nuttiness, check, whimsical flights of fancy, check, nursing heartbreak from a past friendship that proved deleterious, check, mad desire for power, check, compassion, check, deep sense of right and wrong, check, glasses, check, etc ad nauseam.

Also we have all these ideals and things but we are both kind of cowardly when it comes to actually taking a stand and putting our words into practice.

TL;DR: Do I over-identify? Yes. Is it a bit batty? Yes. Would I ever have volunteered all this? No. But you asked, so I answered.

Yay! I'm glad I'm not the only one who starts a thread of this nature!

I don't think I'm very much like Albus, I do love sweets (but mostly only chocolate) and of course I believe that love conquers all! I wish I was more kind and patient like him, because I'm more blunt and impatient, but not in a completely horrible way. Yes, I can't really think of anything else. Oh, I also wish my eyes twinkled, that would be the coolest thing!

Aha! FINALLY, a thread that refers to myself... Not that Minerva hasn't worn off into my subconscience because I spend so much time trying to perfect her in my writings... So, here is a tidbit of myself:

-I am VERY untidy (and don't care either)

LOL! Of course you're not looking dear. It's taboo to try and look at your eyes when they're twinkling. The sad thing is that no, my eyes are not blue, but hazel. People say that they are green, but, green and hazel are two very different things...

That's a shame-- as are many things. For example, that I cannot leave this ship. I just can't. Some days I'll have random one-shots ideas featuring Albus and Minerva, and then, of course, I have to write those before flinging myself off of the ship, but then I find I enjoy writing them so much that I have to wait for another one-shot/fiction idea to hit me just so I can write them more... -laughs- I must admit I haven't tried very hard to let go, and I am very behind in all of my ideas... This is going to take many years... ;D YAY!

That's not a shame at all, that's wonderful. ;D I have no wish whatsoever to leave this ship, it makes me happy, I love having Albus and Minerva in my mind so often, and love writing about them. Every day it gives me pleasure, and I'm writing so much more than I used to, I'm hoping I won't be left clinging to the wreckage of this ship in a few years, long after all others have left it. *Shudders*

Maybe it's the many attempts by JKR and others to sink this ship that make me so determined to cling to it even stronger - I always was stubborn. Somehow I think there's enough magic about Albus and Minerva to keep it sailing merrily on.
