Title: Missing You

----------
The grounds of Hogwarts were once again quiet as the last light of the day fell from the sky and the school was winding down from a most hectic day.
The lone figure of the now headmistress lingered beside the Black lake, inhaling the crisp night air and exhaling the past days frustrations and sorrows. As the pinks and purples of the sunset were finally engulfed by darkness she slowly lowered herself to the ground and laid back against the cool grass. She watched as the first star hung itself in the blanket of black and twinkled a goon evening down upon her. The twinkling of that one lonely star had caused a chain reaction of thoughts to burst through her mind all revolving around Albus. Just the thought of his name brought tears to her eyes. She missed him immensely and no one would ever understand or even know the severity of the wound upon her heart.
She missed how he would wrap his arms around her from behind, how they would walk arm in arm to the great hall, and how they would snuggle close beside a fire on cold afternoons. And it killed her to go on with everyday life pretending that she doesn’t care as much as she does and that she wasn’t his wife who had suddenly became a widow. It wasn’t fair that she couldn’t tell the world that the most wonderful man had been more than just her best friend but her husband. Every night she would lie in their big, cold, empty bed and wait for those warm arms to snake around her waist, but they never came. And every morning she would wake expecting a good morning kiss that never greeted her. And in the back of her mind she knew they weren’t coming, but it still made her heart want to tear in two when she realized he still wasn’t there and she still hadn’t woken up from this horrible nightmare.
She laid there in the dark, alone, with only the stars for comfort as she thought about everything that has happened trying desperately to clear her mind of those terrible memories of that fateful night.
“I love you, Albus.” she whispered into the darkness. Praying that were ever he was that by some miracle he could hear her, “Always.”
And from his place among the stars he had heard her every word and her every thought, “I love you too, my dearest Minerva,” he whispered down to her. She had not heard, but had felt his eternal love deep in the depths of her heart. And although the wound was no where close to being healed the bleeding had for the most part stopped allowing her to continue living her life.
I hope you guys liked it, it was a product of exam frustrations so I'm not exactly sure if it's even worth posting or not. Sooo... yeah! ;D
