Considering this is the home to the most PD fans I know and Branda has been busy with her "new" boyfriend this seemed like an obvious place to ask something like this...

Anyway I'm being forced to take speech (:S) and have to write a speech using my favorite quote since sadly my teacher wouldn't let me write on "He will not be single handed", "It unscrews the other way" or that all to famous but slightly long comment Min made to Harry about not turning his homework in if he died etc (believe me I asked ) since they don't have any 'meaning outside the context of the scene' I had to go with my second favorite by the ever romantic Joe "The heart does things for reasons that reason cannot understand." Does anyone know a similar quote to that? I've got to have at least one more with a smilar meaning and am completely stuck.

Translated into German this is my favorite quote, which I use as signature in a German-language forum...
My source is Blaise Pascal (which would hint at the original language being French?). My word by word translation into English is as follows:
The heart has its own reasons, which reason doesn't understand.
