Advise needed for a fic about Minerva at school

I'm working on a fic to be published on fanfic.net based on Minerva's years as a student at Hogwarts. I'm trying to think of who would have been, or could have been professors there at that time. Albus of course, and I have Armando Dippet as headmaster, and I think Slughorn might have been teaching then.

Can anyone think of any others that would have been teaching at that time ? I need one or two other professors, preferably some female, to take other lessons and figure as minor chracters. Thanks for any help.

I should add that I'm not sticking rigidly to official time lines, but don't want to go wildly out of whack, like for example Snape being a professor when Minerva's still a student - that would be crazy lol.

Wasn't Professor Galatea Merrythought a professor when Riddle was at school? And that was around the same time as Minerva, wasn't it? Galatea is girls' name too, isn't it?

Flitwick could be - he seems to be about Albus' age - although the Lexicon describes him as being younger. But he's not male ... and there's Binns but he's a man too.

Thanks PiER, I googled her, and you're right she was a professor when Minerva was at school, great suggestion.

Thanks tabbyhearts, Binns is a great idea, even though he's male - I need those too lol. Not sure about Flitwick I always thought of him as the same age as Minerva, but maybe.

Silvanus Kettleburn. He taught Care of Magical Creatures. Here's some info:

Professor Silvanus Kettleburn was the Care of Magical Creatures teacher at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry before Rubeus Hagrid assumed the post. Kettleburn assumed the position under Headmaster Armando Dippet and retired in 1993 to spend more time with his remaining limbs. During his time as professor, Kettleburn amassed 62 periods of probations. One of which was when a worm he provided for the play The Fountain of Fair Fortune exploded and started a fire, also starting a duel between the girls playing Amata and Asha, in which Professor Beery was caught in the crossfire. Kettleburn was considered reckless by Dippet, but had mellowed considerably by the time Dumbledore took over, though many thought this was because he only had one and a half of his original limbs left.
