Challenge #102This challenge deadline is 2 February 2009, 23:59 GMT (11:59 p.m.) (In the U.S., that’s 18:59 EST [6:59 p.m.] or 15:59 PST [3:59 p.m.].) For the Imbolc deadline, the primary focus of this challenge: the badger and the snake! Please set your story in any year between 1957 and 1970, inclusive. Use both a badger and a snake in the story (literally or metaphorically, but you must use the terms “badger” and “snake” in the story). Minerva and Albus can be anything from friendly colleagues, to best friends, to lovers at the beginning of the story, and they have a disagreement about something that may or may not be resolved by the end of the story. A tie-in with Imbolc would be nice (cf. “badger and snake”), but not necessary for meeting the challenge. Again, elements of the challenge: 1. Use both a badger and a snake, either literally or metaphorically, but using those terms specifically; 2. Set the story in the 1957 - 1970 time period; 3. Albus and Minerva can be anything from friendly colleagues, to best friends, to lovers at the start of the fic; 4. Albus and Minerva have a disagreement about something that may or may not be resolved by the end of the story; 5. Deadline, one minute before midnight GMT, Monday, 2 February 2009. It would be great if you could include Imbolc, but it's not an element of the challenge. Hope you have fun!
