Legend of the Seeker TV/book series

Just curious to know your thoughts. I've just finished the first book, "Wizard's first rule", and started #2 (like yesterday). Although the programming is not consistent in my area, I have enjoyed a few of the TV program's episodes as well.

My fave characters are Zedd, Chase, and Scarlet (the dragon!)
