And it's time, once again, for your dose of Maggie-ness! Today's picture is from the 1963 movie "The V.I.P.S.", in which Maggie plays the loyal secretary (Miss Mead) to Rod Taylor's Australian businessman (Les Mangrum). This role is widely regarded as Maggie's first major film breakthrough. According to Richard Burton, who had one scene with her, she didn't "steal the scene, she committed grand larceny."

This one is absolutely new for me....and what an unusual look: the hairstyle makes her look so different... Wonder what the play is about (both men in bathrobes ) - I really have to search the library for Noel Coward - let's see how well they are stocked in English playwrites...

"Design for Living" is definitely one of Noel Coward's more bizarre plays. It features three neurotic characters - Otto, Leo, and Gilda. All three of them love each other deeply. It's quite odd, but very well-written. You can read a summary of the play here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Design_for_Living

Othello (*sighs* wonderful), parts of California Suite, parts of the Harry Potter movies (so few parts have Minerva in them...)
Thank you for posting these pictures! They are lovely!
