I know I'vew mentioned my church on here a bit before and now this will most likely be the last time. Sadly, our church closed on Jan. 11th but some people (including my family) met today for a vigil. We had three local television stations (Channels 5, 9 and 10) and our local newspaper cover the vigil we held. Channel Nine-VideoChannel Ten-Video (I'm the one with a light purple coat with black hair drawing on a sign.) Channel 5 - Video

The last two videos didn't work for me.
How did the protest go and where are you attending now?
It really stinks having to start all over to find a new church and I know how it feels. Gosh, whenever I went with my friend, her churches weren't very welcoming. My church is perfect right now and have always been so friendly. I'd hate to lose that.
Praying for you and your fellow church members.

Hmm -- not really sure why they didn't work.
The protest went really well, we had lots of media coverage (my dad does Public Relations so ...) from three TV channels and our local paper. Sadly, because it was MLK Day, the office was closed but we think our message got out - we walked around the building, left some of our signs, and sang a lot from the Breaking Bread volumes (which we weren't supposed to have...). We're still meeting every Sunday in our closed church (as of now, I don't think the locks have been changed) but our "sister" parish now has another mass at 10:00 that we are able to attend if we'd like, because our priest served at both churches. But until we literally get stopped, we are keeping up our protests, even though we are supposed to "go quietly" which we most certainly have no intention of doing (don't I sound a bit like Albus there?).

Yeah, sounds a lot like Albus! Anyway, I'm sure they'll get the message. Just hopefully, they do something about it.
