Wow! I am so very glad that you decided to take the plunge with this story (I love the film too). Interesting direction although I admit the uncle is not my favorite character... I like the actor just not this professor. And Maggie is gorgeous in this, very believable in her portrayal of the author. I always find her rather flirty with the police detective.

 Oh, thank you - your reply has made me very happy  . I never could like the uncle either, to the extend that I thought, I also didn't like the actor - but that is just what changed while I wrote this story. I was kind of tired not to like him (after watching the movie so often ;D), especially as he acts very much like my husband (also a professor) would have done... So I decided to see the whole story from his point of view; and I also read about Chris Cooper, and he seems such a nice guy  ...
