Look through the eyes of a child. What do they see, at home? At home, they cheer on, Hungry for the glory of war. At home, they live in oblivion, Unaware of the truth. They do not see the brutal fact.
Look through the eyes of a leader. What do they see, at the office? At the office, they negotiate lives, Humanity not spared but a glance. Humanity will not feed them. So why spare concern? They do not see the need of others.
Look through the eyes of a soldier. What do I see, at the front line? I see the hollowed eyes, the curse Of the anxious dead. I see the Forsaken soldiers drag on under duress, Searching for the light of day: A light hidden just out of view. I see the truth.
What do you see, between the lines

I'm not much into poetry, but this is... I can't say what it is exactly but it's interesting, beautiful, and it's like a bittersweet punch in the guts... I don't know if you understand what I mean, but I'm only saying good stuff ^^
