just something general: is it just me or did Maggie look really old?? It's quite obviouse she's been through a hard time doing all the chemo and stuff... And you should went on the guy who put her in those horrible robes... my definitely not flattering... Well, I´ve been thinking about that too. It´s as if age had come down on her all of a sudden, I think this is all because of the cancer, but it does happen to some people.

She seemed to go from baby to prime to middle age to old and now she jumped again. Think Othello to Prime of Miss Jean Brodie/Calafornia Suite to Judith Hearn/Room with a View to Harry Potter. There didn't seem to be much of a transition period between any of them, like there is with most people. Or maybe I'm just imagining things. Except Hook, which they fucked up her appearance for.

I must have miss this. I so need to watch it again.
I think that more or less I agree with everyone. but mostly I think it was the cancer and treatments,
However.... for my delusional purposes I will say she has forgotten to glamor herself and she is just a frantically freaked out and worried wife!

I just watched an interview with Michael Gambon on Youtube (*why oh why *); he was asked what he does to get into character - and (as to be expected ) he said he never gets into character, he always plays a variation of himself !! It is just him with a stuck-on-beard etc. And that guy is considered one of Britain's finest actors

I saw that interview. He always give dumb or silly answers to things. Everyone says he's a real cut up.
Hard to believe he's supposed to be one of these 'theater trained strict actors' like these rest eh? XD
Doesn't matter though because now he iis a ghost. Really all he has to do in the end is cry and stare at Harry. Not to hard right?
Power to Minerva! I'm still hoping all her kick butt scenes for the end!
I mean if Maggie Smith can punch out Michael Cane (Curtain Call) she can command the desks! ** on a personal note....I wonder what would have happened if Michael Cane had been Dumbledore? Hmmm....

Oh, I love Michael Cane!! But...I don't know...never thought of him as Dumbledore. Anyway, I bet he would've done it far better than Gambon. I hope she gets some kick butt scenes for the last movie as well!! They can't cut out the scene in which Harry casts his first unforgivable...or can they??

Can't really find where to post this question: I found this picture...it says "Half Blood Prince", but I don't remember any such scene in the movie? I remember Harry summoned to the Headmaster's Office at night only in OotP, but Daniel looks too old... so - might this be a deleted scene, or am I just too stupid right now?

I am pretty sure that it is labeled for the wrong movie. There is a scene like that where Dan and Maggie are standing in his office. It was right after he had that dream in OOTP. She rushed him to Dumbledore's office. I clearly remember that but only because I've been watching the movies all week. So, yeah someone just mislabeled the movie. It's for Order of the Phoenix. You can see Minerva's hair hanging down, partially braided like that.
