I also started this fic three years ago, when I watched the then-latest season of 24. It is post-HBP, pre-DH-ever-existed, so the plot goes, ah, differently than the books.
- 24 style: All the events occur within one day. The events should be described as taking place between certain hours of the day (e.g. The following takes place between 6 A.M. and 7 A.M. and so on, until there are 24 hours).
- Minerva is headmistress.
- The Weasley twins are kidnapped by Death Eaters.
- Dumbledore is alive. Snape is good and was part of this scheme to stage Albus's death... Their return is in some way crucial to the story.
- Minerva does not know Dumbledore is alive and did not know about their plan. (Whether or not others do, such as the Order, is up to you.)
- Basically, the point is to save Fred and George.
