Last September 26, the Philippines has been ravaged by Typhoon Ondoy (International name: Ketsana). Said tropical storm has dumped nearly a month's worth of rain in nearly the whole of Central Luzon. "A total of 25 provinces and Metro Manila were placed under state of calamity, with Metro Manila experiencing a record amount of rainfall in 42 years, with rain falling between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. of September 26 pegged at 341mm, over the record established in June 1967 at 334mm." The torrential rains has triggered flash-floods, which placed almost 80% of the entire metropolis and its surrounding areas underwater for nearly 48 hours. The following pictures showed the extent of the damages Typhoon Ondoy have brought to my country: By orig_tigerBy orig_tigerBy orig_tigerBy orig_tigerI was overwhelmed by the massive flooding, even inside my own house, which was not spare by the inundation reaching below the window. My brothers, maids, and dogs were stranded at home, while I myself was stuck inside the office building all night. When we came home the following day, the subdivision was covered in muck. Our stuff on the first floor was almost destroyed by the floods, and the trauma was so great I don't want to see another flood ever again. May you all open your hearts and help my struggling countrymen rise up from this horrific calamity. Thank you very much and God bless you all. P.S. Visit your local Red Cross website (preferably the Australian site) to find out how to help.

Oh yeah, it's name is "Pepeng" (international name: Parma). Based on latest reports, it has changed course ("lumihis"), missed the capital city, and now moving north away from Central Luzon.
Let's continue the prayers, wishing the typhoon would entirely miss Manila.
Guys, thanks for your never-ending prayers. I'll make it up to you all by being a frequent presence here, I've been so busy at work, I can't post that much for months. ;D
