so the lady takes me into brockton, right. And she's like "gooo" so I was like "ohcrapokay" and I pull out, but the emergency brake was still on, I forgot to look behind my shoulder on the u-turn, I drove over crosswalks, through a stop sign, and then a truck caught me off and I took a wrong turn. Then a different truck comes and I sort of swerve to avoid it and I end up going 40 in a school zone. So, when we got back to the RMV she handed me the paper and the analysis said "Failure- near collisions and dangerous maneuvers."
and I showed it to my mom and she now she wants to frame it. *indignant sniff*

Very good, albeit cliche, advice. lol I take my test in just over 2 weeks, and i have only gone out driving a handful of times. I'm going to end up pulling a tabbycat. lol

Haha, wow. That sucks... Oh well. You'll pass it sooner or later. And then at least you won't be home as often to see your framed failure. lol

Write a book! Or television series! That's hilarious! (although I'm sorry you can't yet drive, really.)

I'm sorry to hear about your driving test! If it makes you feel any better, I failed my permit test twice Just relax and be overly sweet to your instructor-- they like it (especially if its a guy)! I was so nervous for mine, but I got this sweet little old Italian man for my tester. He put on some Italian opera station in my car and we talked about Italy and such and before I knew it, I was done and had passed.

You'll be fine. Just don't be like my friend and fail five times. Honestly though, just relax and take it easy. Babble a lot, it helps distract them from seeing any small mistakes you may make.

Woohoo! I passed my first time! I barely had driven before hand too. I was so surprised! Though all three of my parks had problems. But whatever. 14 points off. I'm happy with it though. Getting my license on friday. =)

At least you're trying to get it! I didn't take my test until may when I turned 18, because I was so worried I'd fail. After I got over myself I passed the first time. You'll do fine the next time around. Just keep trucking, I have faith in you. -b

Also, at least your family is laughing and not berating you.
About five or six years ago when my friends and I were doing the license thing, one of my friends was having trouble remembering everything. His dad kept saying how easy the test was and several of us passed the test on our first go 'round. Don was still nervous though, so he'd gotten himself so psyched up about the written test that when it came to the driving bit, he was far too nervous to think straight and failed it in a spectacular fashion. He father could not understand how anyone could fail "the easiest part of the test" - a statement which is far from true. He kept badgering Don whose next attempt at a license came with the same near-catastrophic results. The driving teacher asked Don what on earth made him so nervous during the test. He'd been fine during the lessons. Don explained and the instructor had to very subtly get the message to his father that it was all of the pressure he was putting his son under that was the problem. The father was just teasing, but Don was too proud to tell him to back off.
You will do well on your next attempt and I wish you and everyone else taking that test the best of luck.

Babble a lot, it helps distract them from seeing any small mistakes you may make. Yeah, that's true, actually. The lady I took the test with talked to me a lot, and it really relaxed me, which was good because you can't drive when you're really nervous!

you can't drive when you're really nervous! Yeah... Last week, I took my driving test and my legs were shaking so much I almost messed everything around the pedals xP But it was on a slope that things really got bad... Well, I'll have another test in about two weeks... Here it costs another $100 to try again... My mom is really not happy about it......... xP At least I heard of a guy that had to try 9 times before he passed the test. :/
