Ok ladies if you are not a member of the AD/MM yahoo group then Ginger Newts and I were talking one night, and decided that we wanted to send a letter to JKR about Minerva and our favorite couple. We were thinking of asking her about our ship, and Meredith already as a letter that we can post should anyone wish to join. So basically we figured the more names the better, would anyone be willing to sign their names??
Thanks,
Christy

Just tell me where to sign. JKR seems like a reasonable woman; she should listen to reason and bow to our humble requests.

Alright, here's the message I posted to the Yahoo group in it's entirity, complete with the letter to JKR. Same thing goes for signing, email me.
Okay, here's the letter I wrote. I'm thinking we might stand a better chance of having it answered if we send it to both her publishers and her agent so unless there are objections I intend to do both. Please let me know what you think of the letter and email me off list (ginger_newts@yahoo.com) with the name you'd like to sign it with. I fully understand that not everyone is comfortable giving out last names so first names only and pen names will be included if you so choose. I'm wondering if I shouldn't look for a way to slip in something about that German edition, it's amazing to me that it's never come up in a chat before.
Dear Ms. Rowling,
First, let us say how much we adore your books. You’ve created a world that just draws us in and won’t let go. Also, the fact that most of us are over 20 years of age certainly points to the fact that these books are not just for children. I think I can safely speak for everyone when I say that Minerva McGonagall is our favorite character and we’re all dying to find out more about her. We were thrilled to hear that her birthday is October 4th. However, there is one question above all others that we are burning to ask you.
As you are no doubt aware, there is a growing number of (mostly older) readers who firmly believe there is romance between Albus Dumbledore and Minerva McGonagall. We feel that the evidence in the books is all but overwhelming and that they’re just so completely perfect for each other they must be romantically involved. Even Dame Maggie Smith has said she believes Professor McGonagall is hopelessly in love with Professor Dumbledore. We’ve heard you say that some of the professors have spouses that are kept secret for a reason, which leads us to hope there will be a moment of recognition that Albus and Minerva are together. However, we find it increasingly difficult to wait for the next books to find out and we would be most grateful if you would address the matter as an FAQ on your website. Which we all enjoy very much, by-the-way. If you do not wish to answer in that manner a reply to this letter would be simply fantastic.
So, without further ado, our question: Is there more than friendship between Albus Dumbledore and Minerva McGonagall, do they have feelings for each other?
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and many thanks in advance for any answer you may give.
Your fans,
<names>

Okay, kids, if you want your name on the letter, I need you to either email me or PM me here with what name you want to use. If you want your pen name or only your first name that's fine, but I need to know. Using real names, however, would be well...just better, for reasons I'm sure you can figure out for yourselves. I'm so glad everyone likes the idea.
