Hi there!! It's me, Doctor Madwoman!! I just started this role play so me randome daydreams will come true!! (I keep having dreams that are AD + MM related. SO AWESOME!!) Anyway, do whatever you like as long as it's within the MB rules. I shall start us all off... Minerva McGonagall was sitting next to Albus Dumbledore on a couch in the Order's head quarters, snuggling . Suddenly, a teenaged girl sprinted in and launched onto the couch where the couple was sitting. Upon landing, she began to bounce mercilessly. "Whooooooo!!! PARTY AT THE HQ!!!!!" she screamed. As if on que, Fred and George Weasley ran into the room and cracked grins. Fred:"Hullo, Doc!! How are you doing these days??" Doc:""Can't complain, although I DID find the secret of life..." George:"What??" Doc:"CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!" Fred:"Oookaaaaaaaayyyyyyy........what's this about a party??" Doc:"Oh, yeah........" She plunked down between Albus and Minerva and waved her wand. Out of thin air, a megaphone appeared. Doc:"HEY EVERYONE!! PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SITTING ROOM, RIGHT NOW!!!!!!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ May the mayhem ensue!!! Sorry if this is out of line...just let me know....oh, I don't own any HP charactors...I have no money so don't sic you evil lawyers on me!!! AHHH!!! ~ Doc  |

I think you're the first one to bring up role-playing here. Perhaps you should explain it first, then see if it catches on.

Role playing is rather like a round robin; one person writes a post, then another and another....
To be frank, it's like you're writing yourself into a story with the charactors.....

Just a suggestion: Perhaps you should find out who is interested in doing the role play and then carry it on via the PM system here on the board. It might make things a bit easier on those involved and then if you want to share the results with the rest of us in the form of a story, you can post that.
I'm certainly not trying to stifle anyone's creativity, but if we use PMs for role plays then people can do as many stories as they like and there won't have to be a lot of threads to get confused in. Also, it is possible to PM more than one person at a time in case there are several involved parties.

I would love to roll play with you and I have just the perfect spot... there is a section below that people forgot about for a round robin story. Perhaps we can use that area so that it doesn't get lost in the shuffle?
Roll playing comes three ways, One is that each person plays a major character and they create their own interaction.
The second way is that there are original characters that are played in the canon world, again creating their own interaction.
the third way is having a game master/ mistress who has written a story guidline and directs people on quests, works them through events to get to the end of the story. This is, IMHO the most fun as there are some game masters/ mistresses that pick up on what the charaters accidently say and work it into the story.
in any rpg, whom ever starts it needs to set what time it is, or the year that it happens. they may also act as the leader so that the direction of the story is maintained.
I am Soooo into partying with Albus... (grin)

Rock on, rock on....I was hoping for original and fan charactors interacting with the HP charactors...this'll be just one loooooooong party at the HQ....maybe an adventure outside.... take down Moldy Shorts....
