Alright. I have a question... It is going to sound so wierd, but I was thinking about it at work today. Dont get me wrong, I think they are perfect for eachother. I just dont know why... So I wanted to know if anyone out there knew why they think they are so perfect for eachother... and they are! But why?? Help me out here! I always tell my friends that there is no one else more perfect then those two... but they ask me why, so then I say 'find me someone they would be more perfect for' they never have anything to say to that. And I want a reason... But I relize that there may not be one. So if you can, try and help.

He's silly, and she grounds him with her grip on reality. They both are so powerful, and they both seem to like a challenge. She's always there to manage him, in my mind, after an overdose of sweets or a busy day at the Ministry. She probably laughs at his jokes that make no sense, and he drags her away from work long enough to eat. They just.. Complete each other, almost, and I think that's why their so great together. They compliment each other--his silliness and her realism--and they seem to balance each other. I know that wasn't a great answer, but that's how I see it.

For me it's really that they remind me of my grandparents. It's weird. But more as characters that they're complet oppists. I just love them.

Hmm... That's a hard one! I guess they just... fit. They've been companions for so long. They're obviously close, but their relationship seems to go deeper than that. They know each other. They trust each other. When no one else is there for one of them, they always know that the other is there and ready to do whatever it takes to make the situation better. They bring out the best in each other. To me, Albus seems to remind Minerva to "let loose" sometimes and Minerva is Albus's grip on reality (as emeraldeyes said).

They just are. They exist together, they just don't come seperately. They do complete the other, like when he tries to tell a joke and she stops him. That's why they work.

I agree with Emeraldeyes completely. I couldn't have said it better myself.

Well, when I first read the books, they struck me as the perfect couple becuse they just worked so well together. He was there to be strong and add a little fun to things, and she kept him from getting distracted(She is, in other words, his keeper). They had the air of two people who'd been together so long that they worked flawlessly together. They also seemed like the mother and father of Hogwarts, the ultimate duo you could go to in time of need. They seem like a team, really. A team that has something going on under the surface. They just complete eachother, balance eachother. Sorry, 'tis the best I've got... ~Doc

When I read the books, I always thought... she feels something for him. Whether it is friendship or love, that is up to JK but I felt they had a connection stronger than most. It would seem like they would understand each other. They could communicate w/o speaking. Anyways if they weren't married or in love with each other, JK should at least have them in love with SOMEONE! Albus preaches about how love is the most important thing, yet if he doesn't love someone than how can he be so sure of his theories?? I'm rambling now.

I think they grew to be so close to each other by each being the only one each other could talk to. The rest of the teachers are so much different and it those two that care the most about the students. Its almost as if they think of the students as their children.
