You may wonder why i'm posting this here and not in the challenge board. Well aside from being a (rather unreliable) moderator and being able to do such things, I decided it was more of a general announcement/ invite. I'm probably going to post it on the challenge board as well (Full coverage and all that.)
I"ve just recently been reading on one of the CSI: Miami boards this thing called the 100 drabbles challenge, basically it consists of writing a 100 word drabble from a prompt. Thess prompts can be anything, from the word he or she, to a colour, shape, feeling etc etc. There are 100 prompts in this challenge and I am planning to have a go at doing this. I would like to invite anyone who thinks they'd like to attempt it to have a go and also put in a request for anywords you guys might like to see used as prompts.
Its also going here so I can say, its not my idea, i'm just borrowing it, it belongs to other people and I stand to gain nothing from it other then satisfaction should I manage to complete it.
Hope to hear from some of you guys and we can have a good go.
Jem, the random useless one. P.S Lies Sorry I didn't run this by you, but the idea's come to me quite late on Sunday evening and i know you have lectures on monday morning, hope its ok. J.

I think there are already a few people here that are doing that...I would like to, but I have trouble limiting my words. The first oneshot I wrote ended up being four chapters long...I can't imagine what would happen if I tried to write a drabble!

I'm doing the FanFic 100 challenge. It's pretty cool, but they don't necessarily have to be drabbles (even though the majority of mine probably are).

This sounds cool. I'm unfortunately in the middle of doing a show, and slightly more than 5.000 words into my NaNoWriMo novel. However, I might have a go at it when that's all over.

I am trying it, though I have only done two at the moment. They aren't 100 words though. More like 200 I think.

After this month is over, I want to look into the Fanfic 100 challenge. Or maybe check it out now and every once in a while try to shoot one out. I've never written for ADMM, so I think it would be a good way to start. Of course, I'm in the middle of a nasty chunk of reports and papers at the moment. I have a NaNoWriMo urge, because I really want to try it, but I think I'm going ot have to hole myself up some Friday night/Saturday and just write all 50,000 words at once. Of course, I don't know when thats going to be...

Where does one find the prompts for this FanFic100 Challenge. I have heard of it, but don't know where to look.

it seems that alot of you are doing NaNoWrMo, so good luck to you all. I got my list of prompts from a Horatio/Calleigh fanfic web site, but its the live journal community thing. Again I got the idea to do it from the H/C live journal community, but thought i'd transferr it to AD/MM.

Hey hey, thanks for posting this link, i see what you mean about them not having to be drabbles. I'd never seen the official site for it only the HC one which does have to be drabbles.
I'm tempted just to suggest that we open a section to post the stories, cause it'd be quite nice to keep them all in one place. J

I know that I have not written many fics, but I am going to try this. Just a question but do you have to fill the prompts in order? Stupid question I know.

As far as i'm aware no, you can do them in as and when the stories come to you but just note the number of the prompt you've done.

I'm feeling tempted to do this, it would take me forever though and I get enough ideas that seem to get left as it is. But it might give me incentive to write more. We'll see.

I've been and got a copy of the 100 prompts, which I assume means I want to do it. So I'm in.

This is probably a mistake, but I've decided to do the challenge. It will take me forever to finish, but I'll start it anyway.
