Hi!
I'm new to this forum, but I've shipped Albus and Minerva together for several years. I was just wondering if all of you had some recs for me. Perhaps the best AD/MM fics you've come across or the sweetest..or whatever.
I've read Athena G's Glimpse The Tempest (brilliant fic) and I'd love to read more fics.
I'll read anything! ;D
But if you can, could you place a link with it?
Thanks! *Eli*

Here is a link to my C2...it's a collection of ADMM oneshots that I read and loved. Some are fluffy, some angsty, others just plain sweet. www.fanfiction.net/c2/25123/3/0/1/ But there are a lot of great fics on this site that might not be found in the C2...so just be sure to browse around. And welcome to the site! -childminerva/miss mcGonagle

Ooh. There are so many good ones... The C2 in my signature has some amazing chapter fics in it. And from there any of my favourites are also amazing. Life's Scrapbook by CLAIRE-ROX www.fanfiction.net/s/2649272/1/ on fanfiction.net is probably one of my favourite fics, and anything by Hogwarts Duo is always always worth reading. And yeah, loads on here that I won't immediately think of, but the challenge tag board is great for sweet little fics.

Most of the stories on my favourites at ff.net are ADMM - and I firmly believe they are the cream of the crop. www.fanfiction.net/u/604244/ Some talent actually went into those. They're all very well written, great plots and lashings of emotion. Try them and see what you think. In particular, I recommend anything by mascaret, Dicere, "Him Again" by Apocalypticat, the ADMMs by Sirabella, rogueinker, and last but by no means least, Alchemine, who is perhaps the very best at delivering unspoken angst. These are all old skool ADMMers, and some of the stories are unfinished. Still worth reading though! mugs.x

*blushes at above compliment* A lot of my favorites are ADMM and (since I am a lover of fluffiness) my C2 is all the fics where our two favorite lovebirds get together. My ff name is OSUSprinks and my C2 is ADMM: Let's Get Together

[. . .] and my C2 is ADMM: Let's Get TogetherI just checked out your C2, and there are a few you have there that I haven't read yet! How exciting! As soon as I'm finished with my fic, I'll have to read them. (I'm avoiding starting to read any new ADMM fics, since it's easier for me to write that way, but I'm really looking forward to being finished with "Resolving a Misunderstanding" so that I can get back to reading again!) I agree with the recs here -- "Him Again" and "Glimpse the Tempest" are especially good WIPs. -MMADfan

Awww... I was thought of? *blushes profusely* You're too kind.... Well, there are quite a few good MMAD fics out there, but anything done by Hogwarts' Duo is good.. Or TartanLioness... ~mmadlyinlove~ (goes off feeling accomplished.. Has Who Am I? to thank for that... and my buddies who also ship MMADness)

A lot of minniequill's stuff is quite cute -- usually fluffy, but not always. She posts here, I think, but her ffnet profile is www.fanfiction.net/u/1125944/According to her profile, she's not updating much at the moment, so if you don't like to be left hanging, you may want to skip her WIPs. One very cute, non-ADMM fic of hers is "The Witch, the Werewolf, and the Toad" -- Minerva teaches the "Toad" a few lessons (I think we all know who that is!). -MMADfan

*grins and blushes* Thanks!
I'm aware that this is beginning to sound like some sort of conspiracy, but I would in turn like to recommend MMADfan's Resolving A Misunderstanding as a great exploration of the relationship as 'a whole' - MM from student to adult.
I also forgot to mention TartanPhoenix and TartanLioness, the combination of which got me into ADMM in the first place.

*grins and blushes* Thanks! I'm aware that this is beginning to sound like some sort of conspiracy, but I would in turn like to recommend MMADfan's Resolving A Misunderstanding as a great exploration of the relationship as 'a whole' - MM from student to adult. We would never conspire, now would we, Apocalypticat ;D-- unless it were in a good cause, like spreading MMADness! (Actually we didn't conspire -- we just inadvertently created a Mutual Admiration Society! ;D ) There's a lot of good fics out there, though, and no doubt, some inspired me, as well, to write a MMAD fic. Actually, it had been rolling around in my head -- the beginning, the end, and a lot of undeveloped scenes in the middle -- for quite some time. It's a little MMAD universe that was sitting out there nagging at me to write it, so now I finally am. I'm enjoying writing it, but I'll be glad when it's done, as well. It'll be nice to be reading some fanfic, and not just writing it, for a while. Honestly, though, despite the incredible (to me) length of "RaM" - I actually love one-shots and other very short ADMM fics. Somehow they work well with this 'ship, and they tend to be fluffy, which I like (although I think some of the saddest ADMM's -- post-HBP's mostly -- are also one-shots). If you check out the C2s mentioned in the other posts, you'll probably locate most of the good ones that are on ffnet, but you can also do a search limiting your results to completed stories and specifying a low page number limit and come up with more, no doubt. Also, if no one's mentioned it yet, check out Sensiblyquirky's stuff on this board -- I usually enjoy it. Let MMADness prevail! (I really need to get some sleep! ) -MMADfan

we just inadvertently created a Mutual Admiration Society! ;D ) True! the incredible (to me) length of "RaM" Know the feeling. HA comes to 245 pages in Word and 127,154 words. MMADness certainly keeps the creative juices flowing. I would also recommend Hogwarts Duo, but for the fact that faster minds than mine have already done so!

I thought of another story I enjoyed -- very short one shot. It's available over at Sycophant Hex. It's by Lyn Piton and is called "Faith." It's a different kind of look at the AD-MM relationship. I think this link will work: archive.sycophanthex.com/viewstory.php?id=16995

Yeah, there are a lot of great authors on ff.net, so any of the abovementioned are great choices. Except mine cuz mine are all spur of the moment ones. LOL! So avoid Always Hopeful unless you want things that don't make sense. Hahaha. Mainly cuz I'm so indecisive. See? I couldn't even pick the same name for ff.net and the MMAD boards. ~mmadlyinlove~

I have just discovered the work of DailyProphetEditor on ffnet and it's really good, IMHO. Don't know if he posts here under some other name or not. www.fanfiction.net/u/1213120/His "Minerva McGonagall and the Half-Blood Prince" is an excellent MMSS fic but w/ much flashback MMAD angst in it. And the MMAD is key to the plot. He calls it "my version of Book 7" and indeed it is--from MM's perspective. I don't normally like MMSS, being totally devoted to AD, but this was a very believable scenario which also described MMADness in a way I could accept. His "Madness of Minerva" *is* fully MMAD and is shaping up to be quite good too-chap 3 was just posted today. It's part of what he's planned out as a 3-work trilogy. What makes is work doubly amazing is that he's German and writes his original drafts in German, which his betas then help him translate into English.
