A/N: I think this goes here. Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter, or John Tucker Must Die. That movie is simply amazing though.
A darkness fell over the McGonagall family house, as Minerva McGonagall waved her wand effortlessly. The drapes slid down to cover the dark window, reflecting the light inside like a mirror. Minerva would never admit this to anyone, but she was frightened. It was unsettling to look out the window and only see darkness mixed with your rough reflection. She shivered at the thought of looking up to see another reflection mixing with hers in the dark window.
She was just settling deeper into her overstuffed chair beside the snarling fire, with her book in hand and her feet tucked under her, when a knock rang through the silent house. Setting her book down on a side table, the one with an extra candle lit next to her, she slid off the chair, and made her way slowly to the door. Her bare feet gently padded against the floor. There was a faint chill that came up from the slate flooring and into her feet.
Minerva cautiously opened the door to her unexpected visitor, or in her case, visitors. She was forced aside, as two women pushed their way into her house. They stood tall, light brown hair flowing down the first’s back in silken waves. The second turned, allowing another deeper brunette color to be flipped in Minerva’s face. If it hadn’t been for her recognizing them from her job interview at Hogwarts that evening with Headmaster Armando Dippet, she would have thrown them both out in a split second, both with curses to keep them busy for the next month or two.
Instead, she allowed them into her house, and perhaps that had been a mistake, but in her desperate attempt to make new friends and to not stay invisible for the rest of her life, she shut the door quietly, and gently leaned against it. She waited patiently for the two women to introduce and explain themselves.
“You’re the new girl.” The lighter brunette said, almost accusingly.
Minerva didn’t know what to make of the comment, so she kept her mouth closed, and frowned slightly.
“You got the job.” The second stated, her deep blue eyes traveling around the house as if inspecting her surroundings.
Minerva’s heart was nearly bursting with joy. A smile spread on her thin, pink lips, as her hand flew to her mouth in order to keep her emotions hidden from these unannounced guests. “Really?”
“No, we made this entire trip for nothing.” The second snapped.
Minerva drew in a quick breath, and her hand flew back to her side. Her lips stiffened.
“What can I do for you?” she asked.
“My name is Professor Hannah Reilly, and this is Professor Isabelle Barker.” The first introduced herself.
Isabelle nodded in agreement, tearing her eyes away from a priceless family heirloom of a vase. “I’m Potions mistress and she’s Quidditch mistress.” She added.
“Yes, and we have a proposition for you.” Hannah finished.
Minerva folded her arms, and raised her eyebrows. “What might that be?” Her face showed the two professors an emotionless expression, but inside, Minerva was terribly curious. Perhaps after this she might have two new friends? Then she wouldn’t be so invisible.
Minerva had been invisible since she entered Hogwarts as a student. With her parents pushing her and pushing her to do well in school, letting her know what was at stake if she were to screw up in her school years, she wasn’t able to create social skills with the other students. Occasionally she would help out her fellow Gryffindor to study for a test, but even then, it would start off with them sharing her study notes, and end with having to make two separate copies of the notes. She was awkward, though not mistakenly a natural beauty. As she continued to grow, her awkwardness towards other people stayed. And though she had made the occasional friend, she would always loose touch.
“Albus Dumbledore must die.” Isabelle stated coldly.
Minerva, in her surprise, lurched her body backwards, towards the door that was right behind her. After recomposing herself, she looked at the two women with hate filled eyes.
“Isn’t he the Deputy Head?” she replied. She didn’t understand why she hadn’t thrown the two witches out on their bottoms.
“Yes.” Isabelle replied back.
“He doesn’t need to die.” Hannah shot Isabelle a frown. “He needs to feel our pain – he needs to know how it feels to fall in love and have everything ripped out from underneath you.”
Suddenly Minerva was quite interested in why this Albus Dumbledore needs to have his heart shattered into a million pieces, even though she wanted nothing to do with this.
“He’s been cheating on me with her!” Isabelle pointed accusingly at Hannah.
Hannah rolled her pretty hazel eyes. “We agreed to not blame each other, but to blame him. And to make him hurt like he hurt us.” Isabelle looked unhappy about it, but nodded slowly.
Minerva felt her hatred for men rise up into her throat, and mingle with her disparity for friends. She, like these women, had also felt the blunt trauma of a cheating man on her heart. Her eyes hardened, and her posture noticeably changed.
“Why do you need my help?”

A/N: Thanks guys. Just a short update, and I probably won't be updating again until next weekend because during the week I'm a counsellor at a camp. ttyl and thanks for the reviews again! -------------------------------------------
Isabelle’s fingers wrapped around the warm mug of tea, her thumb gently rubbing the small handle. She sat to one side of Hannah, the muse of this brilliant plan, and across from Minerva McGonagall, the one who would be perfect for this plan of action.
It had been a week since she and Hannah had realized they were dating the same man. And not four days later, Hannah had begun talking to her again, after the cat brawl with each other in Isabelle’s private chambers. Hannah had approached her with an idea, and a call for truce to be able to put the plan in action.
Albus Dumbledore must die.
Or at least feel the same broken heart Isabelle had felt the day she saw the two together, laughing and talking, and – dare she remember it? Sharing a kiss. Her dark blue eyes were fixated on the still brown tea sitting in the mug in her hands. All they needed was Minerva to say yes, and after they had done their research on the girl – which had been hard to find, the girl was almost completely invisible it seemed – they knew she would agree. It was just a formality to give her the choice.
Minerva stared at the two women across from her. Her curiosity was biting at her mind, her tongue longing to ask the words, just to hear the plan. Her curiosity had always been her weakness and her strength. It was ironic; a cat being her animagus form. Minerva’s fingers gently tapped against her own mug, the silence deafening her. She was growing impatient.
Finally, Hannah spoke up. “We want to make Albus Dumbledore fall in love with you.”
“What?” Minerva’s eyebrows shot up in surprise.
“And then you’ll break his heart, like he broke ours.” Isabelle said, her voice menacing and dripping with venom.
Minerva shook her head. She knew the curiosity would soon come back to bite her; it always did. “I don’t think so – you’ve got the wrong girl.”
“But you’re the only one who can pull it off.” Hannah replied, leaning forward. “We need a new girl for this to work. You’ve had experience with cheating men.”
Minerva’s dark green eyes flashed with anger. “How do you know about…” her voice trailed off, and soon her anger with the two girls dissipated into anger with man who broke her heart.
“We heard Armando talking about it in the staff room. He hurt us, just like he hurt you.” Hannah’s eyes were filled with hurt when Minerva finally looked up from her tea.
Minerva had buried down her anger with her former flame, not wanting anger to control her life. But this was a chance to take it out on another. This was a chance to wash her hands clean, and, if she happens to help two other women scorned by love, then so be it.
“But what if he doesn’t fall for me?”
Isabelle scoffed at the notion. “With us behind you, you’ve got nothing to worry about.”

A/N: Sorry, I had to say at the camp over the weekend and help out. But Camp's over! anyway, here you go... ---------------------- Minerva had always loved Hogwarts. It held so many mysteries and secrets in its walls, and she just wanted to learn them all. Her dark green eyes gazed upon the tall walls and front doors of the castle, as she stepped down from the carriage. She moved between Isabelle and Hannah, who had stepped out before her. The carriage took off, and left them in front of the castle. The two witches on either side of Minerva made towards the doors, as Minerva stood still in her silent awe. “Are you coming?” Hannah shook her from her thoughts, and Minerva quickly hopped up the steps to catch up with them. The large doors flew open for the three women, a small crowd of people standing on the other side. Minerva stopped dead in her tracks as they all rushed up to greet her – she noticed that it wasn’t the eagerness to meet the new staff member, it was an eagerness to return to their work. With a dozen quick hellos and nice-to-meet-you’s, Minerva had only caught a few names, which she was positive that she would not remember by tomorrow. Hannah and Isabelle led her away from the rest of the crowd that was leaving to head back to their quarters and finish up what she could only guess were lesson plans. They were caught off guard as two men stepping up in front of the three witches, one of which Minerva recognized as Armando Dippet. He stood slightly shorter than the wizard next to him, his brown hair tidily kept and his eyes warm and inviting. Minerva smiled warmly back to him as gently kissed the back of her hand in greeting. “Glad to see you have already found friends in Hannah and Isabelle.” Armando greeted, letting go of her hand. Minerva’s smile faltered slightly, and then grew back just as quickly. “Oh yes, we’ve begun a wonderful friendship,” she lied through her teeth. If breaking a man’s heart was the foundation to a beautiful friendship, she wasn’t so sure there would be many. “May I introduce to you my deputy, Albus Dumbledore?” Armando stepped aside to allow Albus to come into view of Minerva. Isabelle and Hannah’s instructions on how to meet him for the first time flew through her mind. She made sure her eyes never made complete eye contact. Her innocent, beautiful smile soon became mischievous. Albus offered her his hand, making a move for her to place hers in his to mimic Armando’s earlier greeting. Minerva slowly counted to three in her head, and then acted as though it was a great trouble to allow him to kiss the back of her hand. As he let go of her hand, and brought his head back up, their eyes met in full eye contact. Minerva’s breath caught in her throat, and in her desperate attempt to breathe and to make it seem like nothing had happened, Minerva choked on her own spit. She began coughing violently, her face becoming red. Isabelle and Hannah began to shoo away the two wizards, assuring them that they could take care of her; she had been coughing the whole way up there, and sneezing too, it seems she had caught a small cold. They could escort Minerva to her rooms, and then they would give her something for it; there wasn’t a need to go to the Hospital wing. Armando and Albus frowned, but allowed the three witches to walk away towards the rooms of the Transfiguration professor. “Nice going,” Hannah hissed under her breath, as they turned the corner. “We told you to watch yourself.” “Shut up Hannah,” Isabelle shot her a glare. “I think she did okay, until she choked.” “Doing okay isn’t going to get his attention. She’s gotta play hard to get – not become putty in his hands.” Hannah fought back.

A/N: Sorry!! I completely forgot about this story too! lol. Here's the next chapter though... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------>
“I have been dressing myself for 23 years.” Minerva’s eyes flashed as her temper flared up. “I think I can manage to dress myself for dinner.”
Hannah and Isabelle pointedly looked at the suitcase they were unpacking into the closet, and then the closet itself. “Apparently not.” Isabelle replied, shaking her head as she pulled out yet another dark, billowy set of robes from the suitcase, and hung them in the closet.
Minerva was on the edge of her patience. She didn’t want to yell at them, she really didn’t. She didn’t want to kick them out of her rooms, but what else could she do? They were going through her things – her personal belongings – and that was something Minerva could not stand. Minerva walked around to the other side of the bed, and snapped the suitcase close, pretending not to notice how close she came from shutting it on Hannah’s prying fingers. “I can unpack my own things.” She said, sternly.
Hannah and Isabelle let out a laugh together. “I’m sure you can, sweetie,” Hannah stated, “but we are going to have to do something about these robes. These robes are five times too big for you.” Hannah held up an offending robe with a look of disgust on her face.
Minerva snatched the robe from Hannah’s hand. “I like my robes. They’re comfortable.” She looked down at the robes fondly, before pushing past the two witches and hanging them up with her other clothes.
“You are not going to win Albus’s affections wearing robes that make you look like you weigh 200 more pounds than you actually do.” Isabelle said, grabbing a set of emerald green robes from Minerva’s closet.
Minerva watched, unable to stop her, as Isabelle promptly shrunk the robes down to a size that Minerva didn’t think she’d be able to fit into. Isabelle handed them to her. “Try these on, and show us. I don’t care if you don’t feel comfortable in them, I want to see them on you.”
Minerva finally understood the power of peer pressure, as she took the robes hesitantly and walked into her bathroom. Despite Minerva’s doubts, the robes did fit her. Unfortunately, it was barely what Minerva would call “fitting”. Nonetheless, Minerva stepped outside of the bathroom, a look of uncomfortable across her face. She didn’t allow her brain to register that this was how desperate she was to not be invisible anymore.
Isabelle and Hannah grinned, as they approached her, Hannah saying, “You are definitely gorgeous.”
---------------------------------------------------------------------------->
Minerva was still wearing the robes as she walked into the empty hall, on her way to eat dinner with the rest of the staff. It seems she was early, as she stepped upon the slight rising towards the table, seeing that there were still many seats waiting to be filled. Minerva was on her way to sit at the end of the table, when she heard a familiar voice behind her.
“That would be where the charms professor is seated. He would not be very pleased if he saw someone in his place.”
Minerva turned on her heel to see Albus Dumbledore standing in front of her. She swore silently in her head, trying not to make eye contact (the spit fiasco was still fresh in her memory) with him. Where the hell were Isabelle and Hannah?!
“The Transfiguration head usually sits next to the games keeper, but I believe Professor Kerr has taken over the seat. The only empty seat, it seems, will be next to me.” Minerva’s eyes shot up to look at his face, and she saw the hint of playfulness in his eyes.
Dammit, she had made eye contact again.
Struggling, she looked down at her hands again, and simply nodded. Albus pulled out a chair for her, and Minerva reluctantly took a seat in it. Albus helped her pull the chair in towards the table, before taking his seat next to her.
“So, Headmaster Dippet tells me you have been studying for the past few years.” Albus began, taking a sip of red wine from his goblet.
Minerva nodded, still looking straight ahead.
Albus frowned, not used to this reaction from a woman before. He started again. “Do you play Quidditch?”
Minerva couldn’t help the light in her eye as she nodded again.
Unfortunately, Albus noticed it, and smiled. “I myself like to play a few rounds of the game. But I must say I prefer chess to any other game.”
Minerva looked up at him in surprise. “Really?” she replied. “I have been playing that game since before I could talk, my parents say.”
Albus felt happiness well up inside him from her positive response. “Yes, I must say there are few who can beat me.”
Minerva had grown up with a brother; she knew a challenge when she saw one. Unfortunately, she had not had much experience when it came to flirting, and she did not know a challenge from a challenge with a double reasoning behind it. She let her walls fall away, as she looked directly in his eyes.
“I highly doubt that after I play you, you can still boast about that undefeated streak of yours.” She didn’t notice the smile on her face or the light in her eyes.
Albus did notice. “Well, how about after dinner, you accompany to my sitting rooms, and we may perhaps play a game or two.”
Minerva accepted his challenge without a thought. “But you better not hold out on me.” She warned him.
He gave a chuckle, before assuring her he would not hold back. Slowly, they began to chat amicably, both starting a relationship they were not prepared for in any way.
Hannah and Isabelle could not get Minerva’s attention for the rest of dinner, and were resigned to sitting a little ways away, watching their every move.
