Hi, everyone.
So I have been pondering about this particular story idea for ages, but since I already have three pieces that have to be finished hopefully anytime soon (which is somewhat hard in the middle of exams), I have chosen not to write it myself.
It came to me in a conversation online with my wife; a conversation about Minerva and other Animagi. She personally thought that the ideas was rather good, and someone else really should write it, if not me myself.
So... I was pondering...
This would be set between HP4 and HP5, when Dumbledore and McGonagall are hoping to raise the Order again. Minerva's ability to change into a silvery tabby cat would make her of convenience to spy about where others cannot. Peter Pettigrew had been a rat for thirteen years without anyone knowing about his real identity after all.
However what if - like now - it is horrible weather in Scotland/Britain, with loads of snow, and wind, and Minerva cannot escape immediately without getting seen? WHat if due to the weather and that particular fact she for instance should lose consciousness, and was found by a little girl or boy, who took her home to her/his mother. Minerva-cat would be taken to the vet, and recover at the house of the girl/boy. She wouldn't be strong enough to escape there, and be caged at the house for at least a couple of days. Eventually she sees a chance to escape, but she has no idea where she is... Her wand's broken somewhere along the way, and thus she cannot Apparate anywhere. She better not turn human again either, for it is of importance she remains entirely unseen to Death Eaters and such. In the meantime Albus would be searching heaven, and earth for her.
Of course, she would find a way to get home again, and the endig could be something like this:
"I really thought I lost you."
"Albus, dear. I've got nine."
This is very likely just a silly, crappy idea, but thought I'd share either way. Please let me know if you're adopting it. I'd like to read the story.
