Ok....so the subject line on this was meant to be funny in a way....but ever since the whole 'Minerva was in love with a Muggle when she was young' idea from yesterday, it got me thinking. I assume (dangerous, I know) that the relationship with the Muggle didn't last for some reason, so yet again, we have a teacher (I'm eyeing you, Albus Dumbledore and Severus Snape) that was in love with someone when they were young, it didn't work out, and they stayed apparently alone for the rest of their lives. Is this a pre-requisite for professors? If so, I need to get a hold of some of the faculty at the University I work at....they need to know that they have to somehow get rid of their spouses or significant others.
I do realise that you don't have to have a significant other in your life to make you happy....but I find the idea of living a relatively loveless life rather sad.
Sorry....hope I got my point across, and that I didn't offend anyone.

Oh, I know! Poor Professors. Hopefully the history JKR releases will be kind to Professor McGonagall. My fingers will be crossed until October.

Oh, is she releasing a history of Minerva ? I didn't know. I wander mostly in the realms of non canon, since she killed Albus. Wouldn't it be wonderful, if it revealed that they really were married, and that he really wasn't gay ? I can but dream, or contemplate dosing JKR with veritaserum. *grins evily* At one time, didn't most professors remain single ? Perhaps that's what influenced JKR ? Myself I love having someone who loves me, and whom I love.

If she releases a story on Minerva, I'm not sure I'm gonna read it! I mean, I was already so disappointed with our chip not being canon, and the whole "Dumbles-is-gay" thing!!, I'm ot sure I want to have another taste of that...
