Minerva McGonagall was walking down a vacant corridor with her lips pursed. Honestly, you would think these children would have better sense then to crash a FLYING CAR into the whomping willow.
They could have died, they could have been seen- oh good heavens. She sounded just like Molly. And no matter how much she loved those kids, she couldn't act motherly. It just wasn't her place.
Ugh, Potter and Weasly were absolutly maddening. Minerva distantly heard a shriek and a bang somewhere near Gryffindor tower. She sighed before thinking to herself that Potter and Weasly weren't maddening. Every child that she (secretly) called her own were.
Minerva barked the password to her private chambers when she came to the protrait of Godric Gryffindor that she loved so very much.
She threw her cloak on the chair, and went into the bathroom to change. Coming out, she made to collapse onto her bed. The problame was, there was already someone in it. A very, very familiar someone. A someone that she had been secretly in love with for a very, very long time.
And he was sitting on her bed. And she was in her NIGHTGOWN. And she was covered in sweat from the humid night air. And her hair was down, and knotted.
Albus stared at her for a moment, and she felt herself blush. Oh, good lord. She blushed. What was she, 17? And she wished he would stop gaping at her. She knew she looked bad. Did he have to make it obvious that he knew it, too?
"What, Albus?" she barked rudely. She didn't mean for it to come out like it did. But it did.
Albus swallwed, seemingly transfixed by her apperence. "Albus, could you stop staring? I'm aware of how bad I look, but it's been a stressful night, and-"
"Bad?" Albus said.
He smiled embarrasedly. "Hardly, Minerva."
Minerva swallowed. What did he mean? Did he like her hair like this or-oh good heavens, she really should grow up.
"What on earth do you mean? What did you come up here for, Albus?" she asked harshly.
Albus shook his head, and something changed in his eyes. He seemed to snap out of his reviere. "I think it might've been a rather excellent joke that I heard over the summer but I beleive I might have forgotten it. I apologize for any inconvinces, Minerva."
That was it? And she had gotten her hopes up...which was why she didn't show any emotion but anger if she could help it. Emotion hurt to badly.
Albus got up and looked at her again. "I'll see myself to the door.." He got up and went to sweep out the door, but before it swung shut behind him, Minerva could have sworn she had heard:" You couldn't look bad if you tried, Minerva."
She smiled softly to herself before going to bed.
