Pure sap. It will rot your teeth...all of them.
“I’ve never understood why you had to kiss someone once the New Year began. It makes no sense really.” Minerva huffed at her friend Albus Dumbledore from across the table that separated them in his sitting room.
“Just a tradition Minerva, and a very good one.” Albus calmly replied moving one of his chess pieces.
“More like something some drunken fools started one year as an excuse to snog whomever they wanted, and the rest of you idiots have followed suit.”
“So you don’t like being snogged?” Albus asked.
“I didn’t say that.”
“So you do like being snogged,” Albus said wriggling his eyebrows at his friend.
“I didn’t say that either, don’t put words in my mouth Albus!”
“Ok, so we aren’t sure whether you like to be snogged. Have you received a kiss on New Years?”
Minerva was silent for a moment before answering, “On New Years? No.”
“Then how, pray tell, can you judge the act? It sounds as if you are jealous of all of those who have received kisses, my dear.”
“I most certainly am not, and if you don’t stop being so insufferable I’m going to leave this instant!” Minerva dangerously scowled from across the table.
“Well I don’t see what the big deal is. Just find someone at midnight and kiss him. It isn’t a commitment to marriage; you might enjoy yourself. Of course, -“
Before he could finish his thought Minerva had walked out of the door, doing just as she promised she would. Letting off some steam as she walked to her rooms in an abnormally quick pace, and an idea began to form in her mind. If Albus wanted her to kiss someone New Years then he would be the recipient of said kiss, let’s see how he handles this.
New Years Eve and Minerva was a nervous wreck. To get Albus alone Minerva had chosen to skip the staff party knowing her friend would come looking for her at midnight or close to. She had pampered herself all day for the moment she kissed Albus. For the past few days she had been applying liberal amounts of Chap Stick to further soften her lips, she had exfoliated and spent over an hour in the tub. Using some perfume her sister had sent her years ago Minerva was daring enough to dab a little between her breasts, since the gown she wore afforded a view of some cleavage.
Now all she had to do was wait…two more hours for Albus to arrive. Minerva had been through a string of kisses in her mind. Soft was most definitely out, as well as light. If she were going to do this it was going to be hard, and deep if he would consent of course.
At a little before midnight two cheerful knocks resounded through Minerva’s living room, and she bolted out of the chair she had been occupying.
“It’s me Minerva. Let me in, or do you have a visitor from whom you are stealing delicious kisses?”
More determined than ever Minerva opened her door to allow Albus in. One look at Minerva and Albus had to take in her appearance slowly; his mouth was slightly open in awe. She had never, in all his years of knowing her, looked this wonderful.
Minerva took this moment, and placing her hands on Albus’ face kissed him for all she was worth. She slid her tongue in his mouth before he could close it, and moved her hands into his hair.
Albus was shocked, and disappointed when Minerva pulled away before he could really respond.
Minerva backed away from Albus, “Happy New Year! Well I kissed someone, are you happy?”
“Very.”
“W-what?” Minerva whispered realizing Albus was following her as she backed up. Minerva gasped when she bumped into the wall, and Albus placed his arms on either side of her trapping her to him.
Moving one hand Albus lifted Minerva’s chin, and kissed her. This time, however, Albus gave Minerva the chance to respond. Almost naturally she wrapped her arms around his neck, and returned the kiss with fervor.
“You should probably, probably leave.” Minerva gasped out as she leaned back against the wall, her hands resting on Albus’ wrist.
“Yea, leave…” Albus mumbled before he started to nuzzle her neck. Minerva’s hands grasped Albus’ wrists tighter when he landed upon a very sensitive spot.
“I thought you were leaving.”
“Yea, I’m leaving.”
“Okay,” Minerva replied leaning up to kiss Albus again.
Albus moved Minerva’s hands above her head as he returned to planting kisses down her neck, and into the cleavage that showed. Picking Minerva up he carried her into her bedroom.
“Just tucking you in before I leave.”
“Okay.” But Minerva never loosened her grip as Albus lowered her to the bed; of course Albus had never intended to leave.
“Should I leave now?”
“What time is it?” Minerva asked snuggling further into Albus’ bare chest.
“Nine in the morning.”
“You don’t have to, unless you have something you need to do.”
“Nothing important, besides I could not possibly leave you. The image of your nude body is a delicious sight.” Albus said covering one of Minerva’s legs with his own.
“Yes, I do believe you said that at some point last night.” Minerva replied coyly.
“So, tell me Professor McGonagall do you still hate receiving a kiss on New Years?”
“Well it isn’t all that bad, of course I might have to try someone new next year and see how it is.”
“I don’t think so.”
“No?” Minerva asked shyly raising her eyes to Albus’.
“No.”
