You are just soooo cruel!! How could you stop right there and not post the rest of it? Sigh...guess I'll just have to wait for the update...which I hope is soon...hint hint! ;D BTW, the date was perfect and I can just imagine Albus trying to be the perfect gentleman while the man inside him begs to be released!

Albus knew he would one day look back on that kiss as the best in his life but at least fifty years would have to pass before it happened. Her lips on his were soft but he shifted and his nose, the bane of his existence ever since the last injury had left it crooked, got in his way. He shifted but so did Minerva and their noses again prevented them from deepening the kiss.
Albus was ready to try again but Minerva’s chest was heaving and her giggles became audible. He joined in with laughter of his own but her merriment outpaced his.
“Shall we try it again?” she asked when she could speak properly.
Before Albus could answer, floodlights lit up the area and several policemen with bullhorns announced it was time to clear out. Minerva and Albus watched as automobile engines roared to life and headlights increased the light in the area. They could see shadowy figures maneuvering from the back seats to the front and Minerva covered her hand with her mouth as more than one couple wrestled to right clothing.
The muggle policemen were shining huge flashlights into cars and Minerva felt it was time to leave. She transfigured the blanket and pillows to their original state and they looked at each other before she pulled out the portkey.
They landed in Albus’ sitting room and he quickly offered her a cup of hot chocolate.
“Albus, I don’t think I’ve ever had a finer cup of cocoa in my life.” She was settled comfortably at one end of his sofa while he sat in a chair across from her.
“I can’t remember an evening I’ve enjoyed more,” commented Albus. “I hope you’ll allow me the honor of planning the next outing.”
“Are you asking?” inquired Minerva with a serious look on her face.
Albus studied her while answering, “I am.”
“Well, it’s about time. I thought I would have to wait another fifteen years.”
His eyes widened in shock. “You’ve been waiting on me? My dear Minerva, I never knew.”
She released a soft sigh. “I know, Albus. I finally just decided to ask you. I couldn’t bear to waste another day. Sometimes when you want something you have to take the initiative.”
Albus sipped his hot chocolate while he pondered Minerva’s remarks. “I would love to take you to the London Philharmonic Sunday, if you care to accompany me.”
She smiled brightly at him and nodded. “I would love to attend a performance, Albus.”
Silence settled over the room again as the occupants gazed into their mugs. Minerva wished they had been able to attempt another kiss and wondered if he would try to kiss her goodnight.
Albus shared similar thoughts. He wanted another kiss, or two, or three but years of hesitating were ingrained and he was undecided on whether to move across to join her on the sofa or to try to engage her in conversation. The silence was becoming uncomfortable. Would Minerva decide it was time to go?
Minerva watched Albus staring in his cup and resisted shaking her head. Did she have to make every decision for him? She rose gracefully and perched on the arm of his chair. She gazed down on him and gave him a mixed look of sympathy and despair. Easing her arm around his shoulders she leaned down while carefully circumventing his nose and kissed his lips.
He returned the kiss with a passion that surprised her but it was soon forgotten as his hand came to rest on her waist. Minerva slipped from the arm of the chair onto his lap without breaking apart.
Their kiss had grown hungry and the tentative beginning grew bolder. Minerva often thought her students would spend hours snogging each other senseless without regret and now she remembered why. She could remain in Albus’ arms for hours without remorse. Her duties could wait, sleep could wait. All that mattered was the terrific response that filled her. His tongue caressed hers and a moan erupted from her throat.
Heat filled her and she wondered if he could feel it. Albus had brought her to a feverish state with a few kisses. Evidence of his desire was pressed against her hip and she leaned closer to him.
Ragged breathing filled the room as each tried to curb their yearnings. She placed a kiss on his uneven beak and stared into his solemn blue orbs.
“Albus?” she whispered.
He rose from the chair while keeping her cradled in his arms. He banished their mugs and turned toward his bedroom.
“Albus?” she queried again as he concentrated on his destination.
“Hush love, I’m taking the initiative.”
And there you have it. I hope you enjoyed it. Alex wasn’t very helpful while I typed so it’s a bit shorter than I planned. Karlie

this is what i get for going to bed early... this would have been a great bedtime story... but! i got to read it upon waking!
this was great!
we got kissage! i LOVE kissing scenes!! and this one certainly didn't disappoint!

Kammie, I ended the story at the end of it, I didn't skip the lemon because there wasn't one. Alex won't suffer. He'd prefer experiencing a lemon over reading one anyday. Love to you, Karlie

Great story. Pity that it had to end. I loved the final line "Hush love, I’m taking the initiative.”. I'm glad I waited until now to read it. No cliffhangers for me! lol.
