Falling

A/N: eek, similar to Girl and Boy, it's off a blog again, what can I say? I need to stop writing fluff. There.

“Minerva…”

“Yes?”

“Your hair, it’s coming down from its bun”

“Damn, not again,” she replied putting her hands to her head trying to scrap her bun back together, this was the second time today; these pins would have to go.

“Don’t…” he said, staring at her, “Your hair is so very beautiful. You’re beautiful Minerva”

She stared at him for a second, searching his eyes, afraid of what she might see; afraid of how she would react. She mumbled that she had to go and rushed towards the office door. She’d seen his eyes, but she couldn’t risk it, she couldn’t bear to be heartbroken again.

He stopped her at the door with just a hand on her shoulder, turning her around. She drowned in his eyes, moaned softly into his mouth as he kissed her, allowed her body to be crushed to his, wrapped her arms around him.

Wrenching herself away she blushed furiously and tried to run. He stopped her again.

“We can’t do this.”

“Why can’t we? Do you not feel the way I do?”

“I do, it’s just…”

“Just what?”

“I don’t want to fall again”

“It’s different this time,” he said, knowing how she’d been hurt so many times before.

“Why is it?”

“Because this time I’ll catch you”
