FanFic 100 Challenge #:: 031- Sunrise
A pale, golden ray of light begins to break through the window, penetrating the darkness of the room. Albus opens his eyes and smiles, thankful that the first thing he sees as he awakens is his sleeping wife beside him. He moves closer and places an arm around her waist. Her long, dark hair is like ocean waves against her shoulders and pillowcase. Albus traces his fingers through her hair, amused by its natural beauty. He listens carefully to the calmness in her breathing as he watches her body move slightly with each inhalation and exhalation.
Rosy warmth plays at her cheeks as sunlight expands into the room. Albus closes his eyes, remembering sweet dreams of the night. It is no surprise to him that his dreams were filled with visions of the woman lying next to him. Oh, how he loves her...
Albus opens his eyes once more to a brighter room. The birds outside have begun singing their morning songs, and the shadows around them are now barely visible. His love shuffles beside him, her green eyes fluttering open.
"Good morning, beautiful," he whispers.
Minerva smiles and leans over, giving him a soft kiss on the lips. Albus smiles in return, his blue eyes sparkling brightly. Today, it seems, will be a perfect day.
