FanFic 100 Challenge #:: 032- Sunset
A soft red glow began to emerge from behind the descending golden sun. Long, slender shadows crept onto the castle grounds, signaling the end of a peaceful yet quite uneventful day at Hogwarts. Minerva, staring admiringly out the open window, sighed contently as her husband slipped a loving arm around her waist. She tilted her head slightly, as if intrigued with deep thought.
“Albus,” she began, “Do you believe you can love one person in the same way for the rest of your life?”
What brought about her questioning all of a sudden? He thought a moment before giving his answer.
“No”
She shifted uncomfortably against his body.
“Do you believe you can only truly fall in love once in your life?”
“Definitely not”
Minerva turned her head and pulled away from his grip, tears filling the brim of her eyes. Albus pulled her towards himself once more and cupped her cheek with his hand, looking deep into her eyes.
“I do not believe I can love someone in the same way for the rest of my life because I love you more and more each and every day,” he said in a low voice. “And I do not believe I can only truly fall in love once in my life because I fall in love with you all over again with every breath you take.”
Minerva smiled wholeheartedly as a tear rolled down her cheek. Albus kissed her softly on the lips as she thanked heaven above for sending her her own blue-eyed angel.
