The Photograph A/N: The longer version of my 200 word drabble for a contest at The Hideaway (link in my profile). I felt like I’d butchered it once I’d posted it, so this is the full version. MMAD fluff, written for Sprinkles due to her, erm, gentle hints.Albus Dumbledore glanced down at his golden watch, noting the positions of the planets and that they had little time left to take the staff photograph. He heard his Deputy Headmistress sigh impatiently from beside him as she set up the camera. Moving towards the others together they stood in their places in the middle of the group. Sensing the camera was ready Minerva called everyone to settle down and smile for the camera. Five minutes later the hallway was empty and Minerva took the photograph that had been magically produced to frame to give to the Headmaster. Studying it as she walked she noticed sullen faced Severus Snape being dragged onto the picture by a grinning Xiomara Hooch. Filius was pressing a gentle kiss to the forehead of his new wife, Pomona. It was only then she noticed her photograph-self and Albus. His arm was wrapped around her waist, his other hand holding hers, bringing it to his lips and kissing her skin. He let go of her hand then to cup her chin and kiss her lips. Minerva watched dumbfounded as her photograph-self wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed closer to him, oblivious to the other photograph people around them. “Ah hello, my dear,” Her head snapped up, the photograph immediately hidden behind her back, as she wondered how she’d walked to Albus’ rooms instead of her own. “Is that the photograph? May I see it?” he asked. Swallowing slightly she handed him the photograph, praying her photograph-self was now behaving. She studied him as he watched the same scene play out before him before he dropped the photograph carelessly, pulled Minerva into his arms and pressed his lips to hers. A few moments later when they separated slightly to breathe Albus answered her silent question of why. “Well, why should they be the ones to have all of the fun?” |

Sweeet!!! Now I have a goofy grin on my face. I love it when Albus catches Minerva off guard and does something wonderful like kissing her. That was too cute!!!
I'm glad you posted the "full version" here!! It brightened my day!
