Chapter 1
Springtime at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was always a glorious time of year. The grounds offered the tranquility of a lazy day spent at the lake, a vigorous afternoon playing on the Quidditch pitch, or even exploring the gardens and greenhouses with the one you love. Yes, everyone at Hogwarts seemed to have been bitten by the love bug. Either that or someone had managed to sneak into the kitchens to spike the pumpkin juice with a potent Amortentia potion.
Not even the staff was immune to the fresh spring air and the overwhelming feelings of happiness and renewal, though they tended to be more cautious about their public displays of affection for obvious reasons.
“Mmmm, I could spend all day just like this,” Minerva sighed happily as she stretched lazily and rolled onto her back. The thin sheet on the bed was tangled around her legs and covering nothing but the creamy skin below her knees and above her ankles. However, her glistening body didn’t protest the cool breeze shifting through the open window for her attention was drawn elsewhere.
Albus rolled onto his side and drank in the sight of Minerva’s body as if he hadn’t just spent the better part of an afternoon exploring it with his hands, lips, tongue…basically every part of himself. “And I could certainly while away the hours with you, my dear. I’m sure if we put our…ahem…heads together we could come up with new and exciting ways to pass the time,” he chuckled softly as he used the end of his beard to trace patterns across her stomach and breasts.
“You are a bad influence on me, Albus Dumbledore!” She squirmed and giggled as his beard was replaced by soft lips and a warm tongue dancing over her hardened nipple. “But I wouldn’t have it any other way,” she finished through a soft moan. “However, there is something we need to discuss.” She cradled his face in her hands and reluctantly drew his attention away from her breast to her face. “I know you’re planning something and I’d like to know what it is.”
Albus stared at her for a moment then burst into laughter. “I always knew you were a cunning witch but never did I think you’d seduce me for information,” he challenged before leaning down to capture her lips in a heated kiss.
He rolled onto his back, letting his arm fall effortlessly out to his side while the other stayed securely around Minerva. He closed his eyes and inhaled deeply, knowing it was only a matter of time before she would take the bait. He didn’t have to wait long at all before he earned a playful slap across the stomach, causing him to lurch upward slightly. When he opened his eyes he saw deep pools of green staring back at him intently.
“I seduced you because I find you irresistible and incredibly talented in the sack, lover. If I merely wanted to know what goes on in that chaotic mind of yours I could simply spike your morning cup of tea with Veritaserum,” she announced rather proudly.
“Ah, but that would make you more Slytherin than Gryffindor and we both know how much that would pain you,” he teased. “However, there are certain times when a man likes to have a few secrets of his own and if the witch he loves dearly would only allow him those secrets, she might find herself pleasantly surprised one afternoon.” He leaned over slightly and kissed the tip of her nose, then each eyelid, and her mouth. “Trust me. That’s all I ask, and I promise you won’t be disappointed.”
Once again, Minerva found herself wrapped in his embrace and resting her head on his chest. Her fingertips toyed with the sprinkling of hairs and his nipple as she thought on what he’d just said. “But how long do I have to wait? I know you’ve been working on something for weeks now and it’s driving me mad not knowing.”
He smiled and his eyes began to twinkle happily. He had known when she first caught him working on the project at his desk and he’d hurriedly put it away that her curiosity had been piqued. It was then that he’d started to take extreme caution and care to keep her in the dark about his plans for their summer holiday. Once he had made up his mind, everything else had simply fallen into place effortlessly. A few owls sent while Minerva was in classes, a few fire calls to ensure that things ran smoothly while they were away, and especially the details regarding their final destination, had been handled discreetly and to his satisfaction. There were simply a few things left to settle before he could tell Minerva of his plans and those would have to wait a few more weeks until school was dismissed for the summer.
Minerva turned her face and planted a tender kiss to the side of his neck. “Aren’t you going to answer me that at least?” she asked in her softest, most alluring voice.
Albus shifted so that he was lying on his side, still holding Minerva but better able to look into her bright eyes and smiling face. “At five minutes past noon on the day the students leave for summer…then you shall know,” he answered softly and finished with a wink. “Now do you have any idea how beautiful you are when there’s a mystery that you can’t solve and it’s driving you to distraction?” Her answer was cut off before it ever started and the remainder of their afternoon was spent in a much more enjoyable and certainly more exhausting way.
In all the end-of-year chaos, not the least of which involved overseeing the O.W.L. and N.E.W.T. exams, Minerva nearly managed to forget Albus’ maddeningly secret plans. The moment the last carriage pulled away from the front doors, however, she whirled on him and began asking questions once more.
"I believe I said five past noon," he chuckled, blue eyes twinkling merrily. He slipped his arm around her waist and pulled her away from the other professors for a kiss. "Go tidy up your office and meet me in my sitting room at noon. Then I shall reveal all."
"All?" she asked, toying with the clasps of his robes.
Albus laughed and patted her playfully on the bottom. "If you like, though I may be too distracted to tell you what I’ve been up to once you get my clothes off."
"In that case, I won’t undress you till quarter past twelve," Minerva retorted as she walked away, swinging her hips a bit more than usual for his benefit.
Albus had to chuckle as he watched her go. Then, knowing she was sure to be early, he rushed upstairs to prepare the sitting room for her arrival.
He worked diligently for nearly an hour and was just putting the final touches on the room when he heard the distinctive rhythm of Minerva’s walk on the stone floor of the corridor. He opened the door just as she arrived and made her close her eyes before entering.
"Okay, open," he breathed next to her ear, taking his hands away from over her eyes.
Minerva gasped. "Albus, it’s beautiful. Is this the surprise?"
He had transformed the sitting room into a Mediterranean paradise and Minerva spent a few moments walking slowly around the room, taking in all the details. Albus let her absorb everything and then guided her to the sofa.
"Sort of. I’ve booked a holiday for us in Barcelona," he explained, gesturing to the travel brochures that lined the coffee table. "We’ll be doing everything like Muggles," he added, beaming with excitement. "Flying there in an airplane, taking the city buses and staying in a Muggle hotel with electricity and television and everything."
"Flying...television?" Minerva was feeling a bit overwhelmed. She could tell Albus had put a lot of work into his plans for the holiday and he was clearly excited, but she didn’t quite share his enthusiasm yet. "I...it sounds like an adventure. When do we leave?"
Albus was oblivious to her lack of enthusiasm for the moment as he leafed through the brochures once more. "We leave Saturday and stay for two weeks. Look at these pictures of the beaches – much more inviting than anything we have here. And they’ve got a lot of museums and churches you’ll probably like to visit."
He carried on explaining the wonders of the large Spanish city while Minerva tried to wrap her mind around the idea of a Muggle holiday.
"No magic at all?" she asked.
"Well, you know, perhaps at night when we’re alone we can cheat a bit." Albus hesitated and looked up at her. "I thought it would be fun to do things the Muggle way for a change."
Minerva smiled and kissed him tenderly. "I’m sure it will be. Thank you for planning a get-away for us. I’m sure we’ll have a lovely time. Those beaches do look inviting," she added, turning her attention to the travel information he’d provided.
Over the next few days Minerva found it increasingly hard to wrap her mind around everything Albus had planned, especially the restriction on the use of magic during their trip. It wasn’t so much that she needed magic for doing the day to day tasks, but she wasn’t very confident they would fit in as Muggles in a very Muggle city. Add to that predicament the fact that it had been quite some time since she’d visited a Muggle city for more than a day and it began to be overwhelming.
Minerva had tried her best to focus on the idea of a holiday instead of all the potential problems they might encounter. Once or twice she thought of suggesting to Albus that they simply save money and rent a cottage somewhere in the highlands. But each time he spoke of the trip, she could see the wonder and excitement in his eyes and she lost her resolve. Even after pestering him for weeks and weeks about the nature of her surprise, she found it hard to completely dismiss the idea of going somewhere else, though that did not lessen her doubts nor dissuade her arguments. It wasn’t until Poppy mentioned the upcoming trip to Minerva that she felt she had someone with whom she could discuss her current situation.

“For starters, Poppy, we don’t even dress as they do. Heavens sake, I only own a few Muggle clothes and no doubt they’re very much out of style. And Albus…can you honestly see him in a pair of Muggle trousers? The man doesn’t even like to wear undergarments beneath his robes now, not that you needed to know that of course,” she added, obviously a bit embarrassed by her accidental confession. “I can’t see him wearing those sort of restrictive clothes on a daily basis for two weeks and in the warm climate no less.”
“Minor things, Minerva. Are you or are you not the two most gifted magical people in the field of Transfiguration? I’m sure with a few simple spells and maybe even a quick shopping spree to Muggle London you’ll blend in nicely.” Poppy gave her friend a knowing smile and blushed. “Besides, do you honestly think you’ll be around Muggles all the time? I’m sure there will be more than a day or two when you don’t even leave your hotel room. You’ll have much more entertaining ways to fill the days. After all, it’s not every day that you get the man all to yourself with the promise of absolutely no interruptions,” she giggled with a mischievous gleam in her eyes.
Minerva scoffed at the idea then continued. “Assuming we do manage to somehow fit in with our attire, that’s only the beginning of our troubles. He’s booked us tickets on an airplane! We’re to use Muggle transportation once we arrive. Poppy, we’re even staying in a Muggle hotel and he insists that we not use magic at all unless it’s at night when we’re alone. He arranged all of this without even discussing it with me first,” she finished with a slightly raised voice, relieved to finally get this all off her chest.
Poppy set down her teacup rather briskly and looked directly into Minerva’s eyes. “You’re right! This absolutely lovely man has booked a two week holiday for the two of you. He’s spent his hard earned money in making sure your every comfort and need would be met. He took time off from his work and schedule, arranged it so you’d not be disturbed as you surely would be if you stayed in a wizarding community. He’s sought out things to do that might appeal to YOUR tastes, not necessarily his and all you have to bloody well do is pack a few Muggle clothes into your bag and enjoy the holiday with the man you love!” Poppy paused to take a breath and to walk to the door of Minerva’s chambers to take her leave.
“I’d say you’re the luckiest woman in the world and instead of focusing on so many trivial things, why not put yourself in his shoes for a bit? He didn’t go to all this trouble and months of planning to have his dreams of whisking you away dashed by someone unwilling to try something new for a change. Think how heartbroken he’d be if he learned even a fraction of what you just sat and told me. He did this for you, Minerva. He obviously loves you and it shows in everything he does. Other men would have merely taken you to London for a weekend, Edinburgh even, but not Albus. Oh no. He plans an utterly romantic holiday away from everyone and everything either of you know just so he can have you all to himself.”
Minerva sat stunned and properly embarrassed as Poppy slammed the door behind her. She hadn’t meant to be so ungrateful and would certainly not do or say anything that would cause Albus even an ounce of pain. She began to worry and wonder if perhaps he had picked up on her lack of enthusiasm over the last few days. But she hadn’t noticed any changes in his excitement and he hadn’t questioned her about any peculiar behavior. If anything, he was growing more and more enamored with the idea of their holiday and another pang of guilt gripped her heart. She should be just as excited if not more so.
For nearly an hour, Minerva sat and replayed Poppy’s rant in her head, over and over again. The words stung her heart but she had to admit that her best friend had valid points. It was true that if they stayed in a wizarding community, they would be besieged with people seeking to speak with Albus or from the Ministry’s constant owls on tedious topics. She had often heard Albus speaking of Barcelona and how he’d enjoyed his stay there ages ago, and she’d been after him for ages to take some much needed time off from his duties. It had always been a dream of his to show her more of the world one day and it seemed he felt now was the perfect time to start. Feeling more than a bit ashamed at her unappreciative attitude and her worrisome nature, she pushed up from her chair. She needed to apologize to Poppy and admit her mistakes then find Albus and make sure he knew how much she loved him, appreciated all his efforts, and just how much she was looking forward to having him all to herself for those two weeks.
Marshaling her pride, Minerva stood up and left the room with her head held high, walking purposefully toward the hospital wing.
"Poppy?" She waited for her friend to put down her quill and look up. "I’m sorry for acting like a spoiled child earlier. Thank you for bringing me back to Earth. You were right about everything and I’m going to stop worrying and just enjoy the trip."
Poppy smiled. "That’s good. I’m glad you’ve had a change of attitude, but I don’t think I’m the one who needs to be hearing this."
"You’re right again. I’m on my way now to find Albus and make up for my previous lack of excitement. I just wanted to say thank you first."
"You’re welcome. Now go," she laughed.
Minerva smiled warmly at her oldest friend and hurried to Albus’ office on the second floor. She found him frowning over a stack of letters, a spot of purple ink on his cheek where he’d doubtless been tapping his quill as he thought.
"You look like you could use a break."
Albus looked up at her leaning against the side of the door and smiled brightly. "I certainly could, but I’m trying to get this all finished before we leave. You look like the cat that ate the canary. What are you up to?"
She crossed the room to perch on the edge of his desk, smiling tenderly as Albus laid a hand on her knee. "I was just wondering if you’d be up for a trip into town to buy some new clothes for our trip and have dinner. My treat."
"I’d love to go shopping with you. Give me another hour?"
"I’ll do better than that." Minerva pulled up a chair on the other side of the desk and took half the letters from the stack. "If we both work, we’ll be finished that much faster."
Albus smiled and kissed her. "Thank you."
They worked in silence for nearly an hour, their feet occasionally touching under the desk, fingers brushing lightly against each other’s hands as they reached for fresh parchment and envelopes. When all the replies had finally been sent, they went upstairs to change into their limited selection of Muggle clothes for the trip.
Once they were actually outside and ready to apparate away, Minerva began to worry. She hadn’t actually planned anything and couldn’t remember the name of the large department store in Edinburgh where she’d previously purchased Muggle clothing. When she felt Albus’ hand take hold of hers and looked up into his smiling face, however, she grew calm once more.
They had a surprisingly good time looking at the various styles and colors offered in the large shop, and Minerva was pleased to find the assistants very helpful. Once they mentioned that they were heading to the Mediterranean on holiday, the assistant directed their attention to brightly colored bathing costumes and lighter summery clothes that would be perfect for the warmer temperatures.
Albus insisted on showing Minerva everything he tried on before he would decide to make the purchase, including a very dashing summer suit and a baggy pair of trousers that had her nearly doubled over in laughter.
"They’re comfortable," he pouted.
"They make you look about five feet tall," she giggled. "Not to mention how big your bum looks," she added in an undertone.
"All right, all right. You’ve made your point." Albus chuckled as he went back to the fitting room to try something else. He was glad to see Minerva finally showing so much interest in their trip and he was determined to find stylish clothes that wouldn’t embarrass her when they were trying to blend in with the Muggles.
When they were laden with packages, Minerva had a sudden inspiration and sent Albus downstairs to the tea shop while she went back into the lady’s department. Half an hour later, she rejoined him with yet another package which she guarded closely for the rest of the evening.
"Hungry?"
"Ravenous," he answered. "Where are we eating?"
Minerva was forced to admit she didn’t know, and Albus suggested they just get a quick bite at the pub so they could go home and pack.
"I’m sorry I didn’t book anything." She bit her lip. "This was sort of a last minute idea."
Albus took her hand in his and squeezed it tenderly. "I’m glad you had the idea. It’s been fun, and we really needed the clothes. I had no idea how much the styles had changed over the years."
"Nor did I. Albus, I owe you an apology." She paused, looking up into his eyes and seeing confusion written there. "I wasn’t as enthusiastic as I should have been about this trip when you first told me. It sounds like a wonderful holiday and I should have thanked you before now for all the extensive planning you’ve done. So, thank you, and I’m sorry if I’ve been behaving like a child."
"I don’t think you’ve been acting like a child, but I am glad to hear you’re looking forward to the trip. I really think we’re going to have a good time. Just think how nice it will be to be anonymous for a few days," he said happily.
"That does sound wonderful," she smiled. "Let’s go eat. I think you’ve earned it after all that shopping." Minerva felt a huge weight lifting now that they were on the same page about their trip.
After a nice quiet evening in a little out of the way pub, Minerva and Albus apparated back to the gates of Hogwarts and walked leisurely across the grounds to the castle and up to Minerva’s rooms. “I hope you’re planning to come inside for a bit. I’m not quite ready for this evening to end,” she suggested before speaking her password and stepping inside her sitting room. “I can make it a point to help you pack tomorrow if you’d like, but right now I’d like to curl up with you and just enjoy the rest of the evening.” Albus’ eyes twinkled and with a nod of his head he eagerly followed Minerva inside. She kicked off her shoes and sighed happily at the relief she felt. “Those shoes certainly weren’t made for walking.”
Albus had wasted no time in transfiguring his muggle clothing into a lightweight robe and a pair of fluffy orange pair of slippers, similar to the ones in his own room. “Why don’t you come over here and stretch out on the sofa with me? I’ll treat you to a nice foot massage,” he offered, patting the sofa beside him. The moment Minerva settled down beside him, he pulled her legs into his lap and began to work his magic on the soles of her feet, each little toe, and up her calves massaging them. His strong hands were so gentle and tender as he kneaded the tight muscles and tender spots, paying special attention to the areas that elicited either a gasp of soreness or a sigh of pleasure. “Mmm, have I told you lately how much I love your massages?” she sighed happily. Her eyes were closed but she could almost see those brilliant blue eyes staring down at her and she could certainly feel the love in each stroke of his hand. A warm tingling feeling filled her body and she stretched lazily, the hem of her skirt inching further up on her thigh. “I don’t believe you have but I can see how much you’re enjoying it, my dear,” he chuckled softly. His fingertips brushed against the back of her knees, causing her to squirm slightly and moan ever so quietly. He brought one of her legs up to his lips and began to plant teasing kisses up and down it from her knee to her ankle. “And I can certainly hear how much you’re enjoying it.” “Oh you have no idea,” she purred while reaching out to stroke his face and arm. “I could spend hours and hours lounging around with you just like this.” “So could I but unfortunately it’s getting late and I need my beauty sleep,” he teased. “And I have a lot to do tomorrow to make sure everything is ready for us to leave for Barcelona. I am taking nothing for granted and I’m making sure everything is in order.” “Can’t you just stay a little longer? What if I wake up in the middle of the night with a leg cramp from all that walking we did tonight? Who’s going to massage my leg until it’s all better?” she asked in her best seductive voice. She sat up and began to toy with the buttons on his robe and slipping her hand inside to lightly trace his collarbone. Albus’ eyes darkened a bit as his hand slipped beneath the hem of her skirt, giving her upper thigh a gentle massage. “Well I can’t have that happening, now can I? I would feel most horrible in the morning should I learn that you spent half the night in agony because I wasn’t here to attend to your every need.” His hand had drifted to the inside of her leg and lightly skimmed his fingers across the smooth skin, being very careful to avoid her center with his touch. Not able to withstand the intense feelings surging inside her, Minerva withdrew her legs from his lap. Suddenly Albus found himself being straddled by Minerva and her lips were grazing softly over his throat and up to his ear. She drew his earlobe between her teeth, teasing it mercilessly, while her hands worked tirelessly to disrobe him.
“Stay with me, please,” she whispered in a hot breath into his ear. Albus groaned and swallowed hard, trying to form a coherent thought to answer. Instead, he merely stood with Minerva still holding on to him and still doing her best to free him from his clothing as he carried her off to her bedroom, intent on staying until well past breakfast the following morning.

This is great! I especially loved Poppy giving Min a not-so-gentle shove in the right direction. That's something I don't think I have really read before.

Way to get the fights going right away. As much fun as pure fluff is, it's not as entertaining if there aren't any fights in between. Keep 'em coming.

Chapter 2 Minerva rolled over with a soft groan as the sunlight fell across her face. She burrowed closer into Albus' side and tried in vain to recapture her dream. When she felt soft nimble fingers combing through her hair and tickling her back, she knew she'd lost the struggle. "Good morning." Albus grinned down at her as she finally opened her eyes. "You're just in time for breakfast." "Mmm, you think of everything." She leaned up to kiss him softly after glancing at the tray the house elves had just delivered. He caressed her cheek lightly and kissed her again. "Just think, the morning after tomorrow we'll be enjoying breakfast on the balcony of our hotel room." "Will we be able to see the beach?" she asked, between light kisses to his neck and chest. "Mmm, hmm. We'll be able to step out the front door of the hotel and practically right into the sand if we want to." Albus pulled her flush against his chest and kissed her passionately, his hands roaming over her body in a familiar manner. "Not this morning, Professor Dumbledore," she teased, pulling away. "You have that lovely breakfast to eat and then we have to pack. How many bags are we allowed on this Muggle airplane of yours?" They discussed the last minute details of the trip over breakfast, feeding each other bits of toast and kissing away traces of juice that lingered on their lips from the berries and melons the elves had provided. Once they finally tore themselves out of bed and dressed for the day, Minerva accompanied Albus to his rooms to pack. "This would go a lot faster if you'd just let me do it," she admonished, taking yet another article from his bag for refolding. "I don't know why you don't just charm them in." "They're Muggle clothes for a Muggle holiday, it just seemed to make sense to pack them as a Muggle would." Minerva shook her head and added the now neatly folded trousers to the stack on her side of the bed. "What will you do this afternoon while I'm packing?" Albus looked up in surprise. "I thought I would be helping you. I'm not doing that badly, am I?" She smiled and took his hand tenderly in hers. "Yes," she said gently. When they had both finished laughing, she carried on, "No, you're not. I just have a few things to pack that I'm not ready for you to see yet." "Ah, the mystery bag from last night. I wondered what happened to it once we got home." Albus continued to ask about her last minute shopping during lunch, their afternoon walk, just before falling asleep that night, and again the next morning on the way to the airport in London. "Enough! You kept this entire holiday a secret for months. I think I should be entitled to keep a few secret objects in my bag for a day or two. Anyway, you'll get a taste of them later today or tomorrow." Albus pouted until he realized it was having no effect on her, and then he returned to normal. They apparated to London and were startled by the crowds of people and the speed of the traffic around the airport. Living in the country for so long, they had nearly forgotten what a big city was like, especially one filled with Muggle cars and buses.
Minerva slipped her arm through Albus' and he could feel the tension in her body as they passed through the unfamiliar territory. As they crossed the passenger drop-off area, dodging a taxi driven by a very angry man, an airplane went roaring past overhead. "They're so much bigger and noiser now," Albus said in awe. "I remember my first ride in a 'plane was a little two-seater with an open cockpit. We had to turn the propeller by hand before getting in." "That sounds terrifying." "It was brilliant. Like flying on a broomstick, only faster and higher." Minerva shivered. "I'll stick to the brooms." After going to the wrong desk twice, Albus finally managed to pick up their tickets and get the proper tags for their luggage. Then they were lead through to something called the “gate,” though neither of them saw a gate anywhere, and told they had very nearly missed the flight. All the seats but two were full and Albus had to ask a young man to move in order for them to sit together. Meanwhile, the other passengers were glaring at them for causing a delay. Minerva buckled her seatbelt at the instruction of the perpetually smiling young woman in uniform and clutched at the arms of her chair as the huge machine began to move. Everything seemed to be shaking and rumbling and the sight of the propellor turning just outside the window made her stomach flip over. She looked up at Albus and was sorry, but not surprised, to find him sitting up alertly, eyes shining with excitement like a little boy on Christmas morning. He looked down and smiled at her, asking something she couldn't understand over the roar of the engines. Moments later they began rocketing forward. Minerva shut her eyes tightly and waited for the pressure to subside. When she looked again, they were up among the clouds flying high over the Channel on their way South. "Never ever again," she announced when they were safely off the airplane in Barcelona. "That was worse than the Knight Bus." Albus had to take her into a cafe for a cup of tea while they waited for her legs to stop shaking and her stomach to settle. Just when she thought she was feeling better, Albus helped her into a taxi and gave the driver the address of their hotel. Minerva ate toast for dinner in the hotel room that night.
The morning sunlight streamed through the open window and across the crisp sheet which accentuated every feminine curve of Minerva’s body hidden from Albus’ view. He’d been awake for nearly a half hour merely studying her face and watching her sleep peacefully. The way her mouth parted and a smile curled upon her lips brought a grin to his own face. He wondered if perhaps she was dreaming of him. Propping himself up on his elbow and side, he watched for a bit longer until she began to stir.
Minerva struggled to wake from her wonderful dream. She and Albus had been swimming in the pale blue waters of an ocean as the waves lapped around them. She could feel Albus’ solid chest pressed against hers and his lips on her neck as they braced themselves against wave after wave. The warm sunlight beating down on her body caused her to stretch happily, both in her dream and in her reality.
“Good morning, my dear.” His voice was warmer than the sunshine in her dream and caused the smile on her face to broaden. Albus lowered his lips to her forehead, each eye, her nose and finally her lips where he kissed her tenderly.
Minerva’s arm slipped over his chest and into his hair, holding him firmly to her as he kissed her awake. “Mmm, a very good morning indeed,” she replied when the kiss ended and she opened her eyes to see bright pools of blue looking down at her. “How long have you been awake?”
“Long enough to enjoy watching you sleep. That must have been some dream you were having. I hope I was in it,” he teased as he pulled her into his arms after sitting up slightly in bed.
“You’re always in my dreams. That’s why they’re always so good and I wake so happy in the mornings.” She placed a series of light kisses to his chest. “Seriously, how late is it? Six? Seven?”
“Try nine o’clock, sweetheart.” He chuckled as she gasped and tried to sit up quickly, his arm preventing her from moving from his embrace. “Calm yourself. There’s no need to rush about. Remember, this is our holiday and we can do as much or as little as we’d like and we’re definitely not on any schedule. Just enjoy being lazy with me.” He didn’t have to work very hard to convince Minerva to enjoy being in his arms. It was certainly one of her favorite places to be at any given time.
“If it’s that late in the morning you must be starving,” Minerva said after a few minutes of cuddling with Albus. “Would you like to order breakfast in or should we venture outside and start our day?”
“First of all, how are you really feeling this morning? Any better than last night?”
Albus had never felt so helpless in all his life as when he watched and listened to Minerva being sick. He’d tried rubbing her back soothingly and he even held her hair, wishing he’d thought to being some simple potions with them for just such an emergency. Once she was feeling a touch better, she’d asked for toast but insisted that he order something more substantial for his dinner. Eating in front of her and looking across the table at her pale face made his heart ache.
“I’m much better now that we’re off that plane and you won’t find me getting back into one of those cabbie thingys. I’d have had better luck on a broomstick with a first year,” she quipped with a smile.
“Fair enough. We can take something the Muggles call a Metro, or we can walk for a bit until you’re sure you’re feeling more settled. Oh and did you see the brochure that had pictures of the cable cars? I know one of them runs to the castle, if you’re interested in exploring that today.”
Minerva’s eyes brightened. Albus knew she’d always been fond of ancient ruins and castles from yesteryear and he was appealing to the history lover buried inside her. “Albus that sounds lovely. Can we grab a quick shower then head for the castle?”
“We can do anything you want for the next two weeks, my dear. This is our time and we are to enjoy every minute of it just being together.”
Breakfast did not exactly go as either of them had anticipated. After struggling to understand some of the items on the menu, Albus finally managed to convey to their waiter that they’d like to sample a canya, a bikini and if it wouldn’t be too much trouble he’d always wanted to try churros con chocolate. The waiter nodded with a smile on his face, happy to see the customers willing to sample the local cuisine instead of requesting a more traditional English breakfast.
“What on earth did you just order us for breakfast? I hope it was eggs and maybe some sausages. Oh or maybe even a nice omelet.”
Albus chuckled. “When in Barcelona…” His eyes twinkled as he watched Minerva’s nose crinkle at his intended joke. “You’re so adorable when you’re experiencing new things. What I ordered, or at least I hope I ordered for us, were traditional breakfast foods. A canya is a cream filled pastry and a churros con chocolate is a deep fried pastry on a stick which has been dipped in thick hot chocolate. Doesn’t it sound divine? I think I might see if the house elves can make them for us at Hogwarts. I’m sure the students would love it.”
“And the professors would hate it. Giving children chocolate in the morning isn’t necessarily the best thing, especially for those second and third classes of the day. The sugar high will wear off and they’ll be so groggy by lunch,” she suggested in her sensible professor tone of voice.
“Fair enough. We’ll only ask for them on special occasions or weekends,” he winked. “I’d hate to think of any of your students missing the opportunity to stare at the most beautiful witch to ever grace their presence.”
“You’re terrible, but I love you,” she said as she kissed him lightly on the lips. “But tell me this…what exactly is a bikini?”
Albus’ eyes dance with merriment. “Ah, it’s two little bits of cloth that are intended to drive men wild. Just enough fabric to hide the most delectable bits of a woman’s body while tantalizing them with the rest. I bought you a bright red one to wear on the beach.”
She shook her head vehemently. “Oh no you didn’t. I’m not wearing any bits of anything for the entire world to see.”
“Have it your way. I hadn’t planned on going to Mar Bella Beach but we can since you have expressed a desire to go to a nudist beach. I have to say I never dreamed you had such a racy and adventurous side. I know I’ll have to beat the men away once they get a glimpse of what’s hidden behind this lovely sundress you’re wearing.”
“A nudist beach??? Albus Dumbledore, have you lost your mind? The only man I want seeing me nude is you and certainly not on a populated beach with hundreds of other nude people. I was referring to the food you ordered…the bikini I believe you called it…not the article of clothing. And while I have no objections to skinny dipping with you in the Mediterranean ocean, I’d like to be a little discreet about it.” She brushed her foot against his seductively beneath the table. “Just in case something arises that would require my undivided attention,” she finished as her tongue slipped out to lick her lips teasingly.
“Hmm, well to answer your question a bikini is a toasted ham and cheese and I would absolutely love the chance to go swimming with you later tonight and every other night we’re here. As for things arising, I can assure you that things are well on their way if you keep being a little minx.” He took her hand in his and took his time kissing each of her fingers, the back of her hand, and was leisurely caressing her palm when their vast array of food arrived.
After the quick but filling breakfast in a little café near their hotel, Albus made sure to get directions to the cable cars which would take them to the castle. He was surprised to find that the cars carried only four people and suddenly an idea was born.
“I’d like to purchase four tickets but it will only be the young lady and myself in the car.”
The young man smiled and winked at Albus. “Such a pretty lady. I can see why you’d want her all to yourself. I’m not really supposed to let a car go half full but perhaps I could make an exception just this once.”
“We’d be most pleased if you’d be so kind.” After paying the fare for four people, Albus helped Minerva into the car and settled down on the seat inside which would give them a spectacular view through the large glass windows.
“Albus, are you sure this is safe? I was looking at the way this is designed while you were chatting with the man over there and well we’re only suspended by a little cable,” she pointed out nervously.
Before he could answer, the cable car started its slow ascent to the castle and Albus leaned over and captured Minerva’s lips in a heated kiss. “Trust me, my dear. I would never put you in any danger, nor would I ever allow something to happen to you if it’s in my powers to stop it.” He drew her even closer to him, wrapping his arms around her waist and planting teasing kisses along her neck as they took in the sites leading up to the castle.
At first, Minerva stayed in the middle of the car, nervous despite Albus' words of reassurance. Then she ventured to look out the window and gasped at the sight of the city dropping away behind and below them. "Albus, what an amazing view!" she exclaimed, turning around on her seat to watch the various areas of the city come into view and then shrink as they moved on. "It certainly is," he smiled, looking at her. Minerva glanced at him and swatted his arm playfully. "Not me! The view from the window. It's breathtaking." She continued to lean over the back of the seat as they climbed higher and the view changed from one of urban landscapes to a more pastoral scene. Albus just smiled, watching Minerva closely. He was so glad to see her feeling better and happy that at least one form of Muggle transportation agreed with her. He hoped they could try the Metro before they left, to see how it compared to the Underground in London. As they climbed the final few feet and pulled into the cable car station near the castle, he wrapped his arm around Minerva's waist and drew her close for another lingering kiss. "I'm so glad you enjoyed this." She smiled up at him. "I'm sorry I doubted you. I should know better than to think you'd leave me open to any kind of danger. Do we get to take that back down again as well?" "If you want to, then we will. I want you to enjoy this holiday completely." "I am, but I hope you've planned things you want to do as well, or I'll feel like a horribly spoiled brat. Especially after the way I acted last week." "I've planned things for both of us, and as long as you're happy now then it doesn't matter about last week. I am sorry you were ill last night, though. I didn't plan on that. I got so caught up in not using magic on our holiday that I didn't even have any potions for you when you were miserable. Perhaps for our next holiday, we can plan together. I'll take care of the playtime and you can remember all the sensible things like medicines and travel arrangements." "I'd like to plan our next trip together, but I hope you're not suggesting I lack a sense of play," she challenged, eyes sparkling. "Of course not, darling. You just play in a very orderly manner." Albus couldn't help the laughter that bubbled out of him at the face Minerva made in response. "Come on, I hear there's a lovely big park somewhere nearby." They followed the crowds and the posted signs to the remnants of a 17th century fortress, which they explored at length before deciding to find the botanical gardens. "Well, it's not as nice as Hogwarts of course," Minerva began with a smile. "But I do quite enjoy learning about the history of other countries. I just wish I spoke more of the languages. Did you buy a phrase book? How did you know what to say to the waiter this morning?" "There were a few tips and phrases in the back of the guide book I bought. If you like, I'll show it to you later. Ah, here are the gardens." As they strolled through the gardens, marveling at the beautiful flowers and the vibrant colors, Albus surprised Minerva yet again. He reached into his jacket pocket and withdrew a brand new camera. She stared at it in surprise, even as Albus tried to pose her in front of a particularly lovely flowering tree. "Oh, Albus. I don't want to have my picture taken." "Please, for me," he pouted, giving her his best pleading look. She relented and let him take the photograph before they moved on. "Perhaps we should take a few photos of the plants for Professor Sprout. She's always looking for new things to try in the gardens at home."

They walked along in companionable silence, occasionally taking a photo of some interesting looking plants for the Herbology professor back home, and marveling at the wonderful views. After a while, another young couple approached and asked them in a mix of Spanish and English, using many gestures, to take their picture. Albus readily agreed and snapped a nice photograph of the young couple, then asked them to return the favor. Smiling brightly and nodding in a most agreeable fashion, the young Spaniard took Albus' camera and helped them pose for the shot. Then, without warning, he took off in the opposite direction from which he'd come, running like his life depended on it and jumping over hedges, benches, and even one little boy. "Wait! Stop, thief!" Albus cried, sprinting after him. On instinct, Minerva had drawn her wand as they began the chase. "Albus, stop," she panted. "You'll never catch him." She was afraid he would do himself an injury trying to get back the camera. "We can replace it." Breathing hard and looking very frustrated, Albus returned to her side. He noticed her wand and gently slipped it back into her pocket. "But all those pictures," he protested. "At least it was only the first day and not our entire holiday." They had drawn a bit of a crowd with their shouts and the brief chase. A man in uniform approached them, but spoke only Catalan and couldn't help them. He shouted a bit, gestured wildly, and then left them even more puzzled than they were before. "I'd watch your pockets too, and your purse, ma'am," said an older English gentleman who'd witnessed the scene. "Theft is fairly common here, I'm sorry to say." Albus and Minerva sat down on a nearby bench to rest and chatted with their fellow countryman for a while. He listed a few places they should be sure to visit and gave them several strict warnings about where not to go and what to look out for. He offered to buy them tea, but after their encounter with the young camera thief, the pair just couldn't seem to trust even the most innocent of offers. He bowed and bid them good-day after they thanked him for his help. "Well, it seems we have to find a camera shop," Minerva said. "I can't believe that boy took my camera. He seemed so nice. Was the whole bit about taking their photo a set-up?" Minerva could tell Albus was distressed and probably blaming himself, and it made her heart hurt. She squeezed his arm tenderly and tried to console him. "Probably. You couldn't have known. He's probably been pulling that scam for years. Anyway, it could have been worse. He could have taken all our money, or hurt us in some way. Please, don't worry about it."
Minerva did an excellent job of consoling a distraught Albus, and after a lovely tea and some biscuits he seemed to be feeling much better. They found a shop which sold cameras exactly like the one that was stolen and in no time at all, they were exploring the city once more. By the end of the day, Minerva’s feet were throbbing and she was starving for something delicious and filling.
“Have you made dinner plans for us or are we going to just look around until we find some place that looks interesting?” Minerva asked as her stomach gave a rumble.
Albus chuckled as his rumbled in answer to her stomach’s protests. “I know I said no magic but I’m afraid it’s going to be necessary this evening.” He did not miss the look of surprise and curiosity that passed over Minerva’s face nor how her eyebrow raised in question. “It can’t be helped, my dear, and I think you’ll enjoy the outcome,” he finished with a wink.
“And just when are you going to enlighten me on this little plan of yours,” she asked, her tone light and airy. Minerva had to admit one thing about Albus. He certainly was a master at planning surprises for her and she’d never been disappointed by anything he’d done. No doubt he’d put more thought into this holiday than she’d ever imagined and she made a mental note to show him just how much she appreciated it.
“Ah, well I thought you might like a long soak in a bubble bath while I perform the necessary spells and then once I’m done, if you’re not finished, I can join you. You know how I love it when you wash my back,” he replied, his hand slipping a little lower on her waist and giving her bottom a quick pat.
“If you plan on taking me out this evening, are you sure that’s such a good idea? I mean, I can’t recall a time when we bathed or showered together that it didn’t turn into something much more than just a wash,” she answered, bumping her hip against his. “Though I must say, you will never find me complaining. I quite enjoy the attentions of your soapy hands.”
Albus gave a low growl, stopped walking and pressed Minerva out of the main street and against the side of a building. “And they certainly enjoy you,” he whispered huskily before lowering his head to hers for a lingering kiss. As he took his time exploring her mouth with his skilled tongue, his mind vaguely registered a few passers by commenting on their kiss and how adorable it seemed. “Mmm, I love being able to do that to you in public without wondering who might be lurking around the corner.”
“I couldn’t agree more. I keep reminding myself that we’re in a Muggle society and to them we’re just another couple on holiday. It’s liberating and wonderful.”
Once back inside their hotel room, Albus drew Minerva a warm bubble bath and as soon as she was settled, he returned to their sitting room and pulled out a set of clothes for each of them before casting various charms. At first he struggled with what to do with Minerva’s dress, but suddenly an image flashed in front of his eyes and he knew it would be perfect for her.
After a few moments of intense spells, Albus stood back and admired his work. He’d taken an ordinary summer dress and transformed it into a lovely evening gown. Albus closed his eyes and tried to imagine Minerva as she walked towards him in the dress. It was a deep shade of red and strapless, leaving her creamy shoulders bare. He sighed as he imagined himself planting light kisses along her shoulders as they danced or even cuddled in a car on their way to their destination. The sleek design of the dress would accentuate the soft curves of her body, no doubt making him the envy of dozens of men this evening. To finish off the effect, he transfigured her shoes into a pair of matching heels, charmed for comfort and look. Minerva could dance the night away and her feet would never feel the first ache. With a very satisfied look at his own suit, which had been transformed into a tuxedo, he slipped out of his attire and into the bathroom where Minerva waited.
Just as she had predicted, their supposed bath turned into a very erotic experience, with each of them finding release before the bubbles were completely gone. As Minerva relaxed against his chest and toyed with his beard, he stroked her back tenderly.
“We should probably get dressed and to dinner if we plan to make something of the evening,” he suggested, though he made no effort to move.
“Oh yes, you were going to tell me what you’ve got planned. Care to enlighten me now, or do I have to wait until later?”
Albus shifted and began to help Minerva out of the bath as he shared with her his plans for their night. “Dinner, dancing, and if we can make it to the Palau de la Musica Catalana concert hall I thought we could go enjoy the Catalonia National Symphonic Orchestra. I’ve heard they’re truly amazing and I think we’d both enjoy their selections this evening.”
Minerva gasped in excitement then her face suddenly fell. “But Albus, we didn’t bring any formal attire for a trip to the symphony. And you said we couldn’t use magic…”
“Except at night and don’t you remember I said I had to perform a few spells once we returned? I do believe you’ll find everything you need for this evening hanging on the closet door. If it’s not to your liking, feel to change it to suit your desires.”
Minerva left the towel on the floor as she dashed into the other room to find a beautiful red dress, clearly designed with her in mind, and a pair of matching shoes. She was inspecting the dress as Albus came to the bathroom door, wrapped only in a towel around his waist.
“Does it please the lady or shall I perform a few more spells?”
Minerva ran to him and jumped into his arms, kissing him hard and long. “Everything about this trip pleases the lady. And perhaps she will have an opportunity later to show you just how happy she is and how thoroughly spoiled she feels.”
Albus nipped at her bare shoulder though he was careful not to leave a telling mark behind. “I shall hold you to that but if we’re to make the most of the evening, we need to dress and get to dinner.”
Within the hour, they were both attired in the finest Muggle-wear available and enjoying a luscious meal in a nearby four star establishment. Thankfully Albus had taken the liberty of making reservations for the evening, so things were once again going smoothly for the vacationers.

I did read this a few days ago, and I thought I reviewed.
You keep bordering on the border of lemon and implied happy time, which is just perfect for this board.
I find the camera stealing guy interesting...I'm not sure why.
I am looking foward to more, so thanks!

Chapter 3
"It’s been a lovely night," Minerva sighed happily as they exited the theatre. "I hate to see it end."
"So do I, but we do have two full weeks here. I hope we’ll go home with many lovely memories, despite the little troubles here and there."
"Please, don’t worry about the tiny things that have gone wrong. We’ve only been here a day and I’m already having an amazing time. I can’t believe how well you’ve planned everything. It must have taken ages."
"Not really. I did have a little help," Albus admitted.
As they strolled leisurely back to the hotel, enjoying the cool breezes and the clear view of the stars above, Minerva had an idea that put an extra spring in her step.
"Are you tired? I was thinking maybe we could have a stroll along the beach."
"In these clothes?"
"Why not? Let’s take a break from always being sensible. We can always clear the sand off with magic later. I don’t feel like going indoors yet and I’d really love to enjoy the moonlit beach with you."
Albus smiled brightly. "If that’s what you’d enjoy, then that’s what we’ll do." He loosened his bow tie and shrugged out of his jacket. "I don’t know how people stand to dress like this very often. This tie has been choking me all night."
"It was your idea to blend in. I hope you’re not tired of trousers already."
"No, but two weeks will be quite enough. At least I can still sleep in my regular nightshirts."
"Oh, you plan to wear clothes to bed then? Pity, I thought we could stay up half the night making love and fall asleep cuddled together skin to skin. Of course, if you’d rather enjoy the comfort of your nightshirt and sleep, then that’s what we’ll have to do."
Albus chuckled and wrapped his arm around her waist, squeezing her close against his side. "I like your idea better."
"No, no. You clearly said you want to slip into your nightshirt and sleep. I wouldn’t dream of keeping you awake."
"Let’s just see what happens, then, you little tease."
"Well, it’s just that I bought all this new underwear before we left home and I wanted to show it off to you."
Albus stopped walking and gave her a particularly lusty look, his blue eyes already darkening. "So that’s what was in the mystery package? I was sort of hoping I might get to see you in something black and lacy."
"What about red?" She asked, eyes sparkling with amusement and desire.
"Ohhh, any color," he breathed.
"Good, then after our walk, I’ll show you a few of the things I bought. I might just have some of it on now..." Minerva winked and continued on down the block, forcing Albus to hurry after her toward the beach.
Albus caught up to Minerva and slipped his arm around her waist. “A beautiful woman like you shouldn’t be walking alone in a strange place. May I escort you to your hotel?” he teased.
“Hmm, you look safe enough, but perhaps you’d care to take me to the beach first? You know, to make sure I want to share my room with you.” Minerva giggled happily at the look on Albus’ face.
“Oh, you’ll be certain before we get that far,” he promised.
They finally made it the last few blocks to the beach and kicked off their shoes for a stroll in the moonlight. Minerva held the hem of her dress up off the sand as the waves lapped gently against her feet in the last moment before they returned to join the sea once more. She looked up at the moon, and then out at its reflection in the water, listening to the steady rhythmic sound of the waves crashing against the shore.
“Isn’t this relaxing? So peaceful.” She looked up at Albus when he didn’t answer and found him watching her. The love and devotion she saw in his eyes took her breath away.
“You should wear your hair like this more often,” he said, touching the dark strands softly as she gazed silently up at him. “It really catches the light and almost makes it seem to be coming from inside you instead of up in the sky. Or maybe it’s just my imagination showing my eyes the way my heart sees you.”
Minerva could only stare at him for a moment, blinking away tears as his words warmed her heart but dulled her brain. Unable to respond vocally, she wrapped her arms around his neck and drew him down to her for a long tender kiss. “I love you,” she whispered hoarsely when it ended.
Albus smiled and brushed the tears from her cheek with his thumb. “Not as much as I love you.”
Moving almost as one person, they joined hands and headed back the way they had come, back toward their hotel.
Albus struggled to get the key in their room door while holding Minerva against his chest and kissing her neck, enjoying the sound of her laughter and her pretense at a struggle to get away from him. At long last, the door popped open and he was dragged through by a smiling witch, while still staring stupidly at the key in his hand.
“I figured it was either use a bit of harmless magic, or spend the night in the corridor,” Minerva explained as she attacked the buttons of his shirt, having already tossed his tie aside.
Albus dropped his jacket on a chair and kicked the door closed behind them, reaching out for Minerva all in one fluid movement. However, she continued slowly backing away from him, pulling him along, until she bumped against the edge of the mattress and they tumbled onto the bed together, each still struggling to undress the other.
His warm lips brushed against her flushed throat and shoulders as he pulled at the dress in an attempt to free her from the dress. But before he could make much progress, he felt Minerva’s hands on his chest, pushing him back and trying to regain control of the situation. Thoroughly puzzled, he propped himself up on an elbow and looked down at her, searching her face for answers.
“I thought you might like a little show instead of rushing to the end,” she suggested. Her voice was sensual and her eyes sparkled with excitement. “I didn’t get all dressed up just so you could discard my things so quickly.”
Albus deep voice rumbled through his body and into hers as he chuckled. “Then by all means, don’t let me keep you from giving me a proper viewing of your purchases. You know how I love it when you get me all worked up and then make me yours.”
She smiled and licked her lips teasingly. “Indeed I do. I have to say it’s certainly my favorite hobby.” She slipped off the bed and motioned for Albus to rest against the headboard before she climbed back onto the bed near his feet.
One by one she pulled off his socks, tossing them carelessly to the floor before moving up to straddle his legs, still fully clothed. She took her time in unfastening his belt, slowly pulling it from the loops of his trousers, and dropping it off the side of the bed before leaning in for a heated kiss. Her agile fingers made quick work of the buttons of his trousers, loosening the band from his waist and giving his growing erection more room to expand. He groaned and she couldn’t resist the urge to rub the front of his pants, feeling his hardness constrained by his underwear and trousers. She knew she had him right where she wanted him when his hips began to involuntarily arch up to meet her massaging hand.
“Not yet, love. I have to get you undressed first and then I can show you what I’m hiding. It’s like you said this morning…no schedules, no timetables, just slow, leisurely fun,” she purred as she gradually pulled his pants off him and they too joined the socks and belt on the floor. “Oh my, such intriguing boxers for you my dear. I had no idea you’d be wearing a pair of Muggle silk ones…plaid no less.”
She licked her lips and raked her nails down the insides of his legs, causing them to part for her as his breathing increased. Minerva slid up his legs and straddled his lap, rubbing herself against him, tormenting and tempting him until he felt he was near his breaking point.
“Minerva, you are driving me insane. Please. Please, let me help you out of this dress.” His arms had slipped around her waist, struggling to unzip her dress and pull it from her body. His entire body begged to feel her skin against his as his lips nipped and teased, licked and suckled every bit of her.
She shook her head and smiled. “Not yet, but soon.” Without any warning, she popped open his shirt sending buttons flying everywhere. “I’ll be sure to mend that tomorrow but for now, you’re mine…all mine.” Her head dipped down quickly, her lips making brief contact with one of his nipples, taunting him with her tongue before making her way back up to his lips. “One last kiss before I start the show?” she asked.
Albus gave a low growl of approval before attacking her lips fiercely. His hands roamed over her body, beneath her dress to caress her thighs in an attempt to get closer to her mound. He could feel the heat radiating from her and he knew she wanted him as much as he needed her. Just before he could properly caress her most intimate of places, she pulled back and slipped off him, taking his underwear with her.
“My, what an impressive sight.” She stared at his erection, hard and long, waiting for her to take full advantage of him. “I do hope I will get the chance to fully explore such a magnificent specimen, but first I think I need to slip out of this confining Muggle dress and keep my end of the bargain. Wouldn’t you agree?”
“Minerva, I wouldn’t care if you magicked all your clothes back to Hogwarts,” he moaned, struggling hard not to take himself in hand and stroke just a bit to ease the throbbing he felt.
Minerva couldn’t help but notice how his hands fisted in the sheets or how his bottom lip had been pulled between his teeth. She’d seen these signs before and never had she been disappointed by what always followed. With a whispered spell to easily unzip her dress, she slowly peeled it away from her body, letting it pool on the floor at her feet. She felt a surge of pride and excitement as she heard Albus gasp in appreciation and wonderment.
“See anything you like, my dear Albus?” she purred as she slowly turned to give him a full view.
Minerva stood before him dressed in the most daring red underwear she’d ever seen, let alone worn. It was a strapless red lace and satin teddy, designed to accentuate her curves and tease by showing veiled glimpses of her womanly treasures.
She watched as his eyes raked over her body, pausing to admire her breasts and how the hardened nipples strained against the see-through material before traveling down across the flat plane of her stomach, where she knew he longed to devote several minutes to her belly button before continuing downward. She smiled as she saw him struggling to swallow once he reached the crux between her thighs. The lacy covering did nothing to hide the soft curls already glistening with arousal for him.
He stretched out his hand, silently inviting her to come closer and so she did. Once she took his hand, he drew her onto the bed with him and she eagerly straddled his lap once more. His hands roamed over her back then around to her stomach before pushing upward to cover her breasts, giving them a gentle but needful squeeze.
She moaned softly and closed her eyes, letting her hair fall back and tickle the tops of his legs. She pressed down on him too, letting him feel her moisture and taking pleasure from the hardness trapped between them.
AHelp me out of this, please?@ she asked as his hands slipped round to the side of her lacy undergarment.
He leaned forward and drew one nipple into his mouth, suckling on it and bathing it with his lips and tongue through the lace as his fingertips pushed the thin material further down her body.
“Mmm, so absolutely ravishing, so responsive and so tantalizingly beautiful,” he moaned against her soft skin. Using his teeth, he pulled the lace cup from her breasts before giving them each a massage using his hands, lips and tongue.
Minerva moaned and sighed softly as he worked her body into a frenzied state. The further down the red material was pushed down her body, the louder her cries grew and the harder she rocked against him. Between his lips and his hands, she was on fire and she knew he felt the same way. Taking him in hand, she began to stroke him, up and down, up and down, varying the speed and pressure with each motion.
“I need you, Albus. I’m tired of playing. Please, please,” she begged.
Albus looked up at her and nodded, feeling exactly the same way. Without any warning, he flipped her onto her back, holding her hips and legs up as he slowly removed the teddy. He held it to his face for a moment, inhaling her wonderful scent before tossing it aside and staring down at her naked form.
“My Gods, you’re all I’ve ever wanted or needed,” he praised before lowering his head to her mound and ravishing it as if he were a thirsty man in the desert.
Her hips bucked against his, squealing in delight as his nose pressed made contact with her sensitive bud. Her hands gripped at his shoulders, nails digging in slightly leaving little crescent shaped marks as he worked her body to its first orgasm of the night. Over and over again, he brought her to the brink before pulling back and starting over again. When he was certain she couldn’t stand any more, he raised up and positioned himself at her entrance, sliding in slowly and groaning at the delicious feel of her warm, wet, velvety walls clenching around him.
He stilled for a moment, relishing the bliss that was created from being so close to her, having himself sheathed inside her. His moment of hesitation was all she needed as she rolled them over and straddled him, never losing him from deep within her. Bracing her hands on his chest, she began to move up and down on his shaft, taking him in deeper and deeper with each thrust and crying out his name breathlessly as he drove home. When he leaned up to capture one of her breasts in his mouth, she cried out, rolling her hips against his endlessly until they both found release and collapsed together in a tangle of arms and legs.

That was quite the little happy time. Of course, you have the good stuff hidden here in the fluff category so no one will be able to find it. This is a great start to their get away, though I hope a few more obstacles jump out of the wood work to scare the crap out of them while they're away.

Chapter 4
Minerva awoke feeling refreshed and contented, but as she stretched and opened her eyes to an unfamiliar setting, she had a moment of panic. Then she saw Albus sleeping beside her and remembered they were on holiday. Smiling to herself she rolled over and snuggled into his chest, her fingers lightly tracing patterns over his back and sides as she watched her lover sleeping. "Morning," Albus greeted her softly, opening one eye. "Did you sleep well?" She smiled and kissed him before answering. "Very well, indeed. After last night, how could I not have done?" "Mmm, that was amazing," he chuckled, kissing her again and then once more for good measure. "What would you like to do today, my dear?" Albus stretched and rolled onto his back, one hand folded behind his head and the other combing through Minerva's long dark locks. She propped her head on his chest and thought for a moment, looking out at the bright morning sun and continued to caress his chest and tickle his sides. "Well, if you don't have anything planned for us, I think I'd just like to relax on the beach for a bit. We have two weeks to see all the museums and historic buildings, let's take it easy today." "I haven't planned a thing, except possibly our dinner tonight, and the beach sounds lovely. Are you sure you don't want to try that nude beach we discussed?" Albus laughed as she swatted playfully at his chest. "Ouch!" He caught her hand in his and brought it to his mouth for a kiss. Minerva smiled and kissed the place where she'd hit him. "I hope you took that for a no," she teased. "I think the regular beach will be quite enough for me. Oh no, I've just realized: we didn't bring any towels or beach blankets or anything." She sounded so disappointed and distressed that Albus couldn't help smiling a little. He rolled her onto her back and hovered over her for a moment.
"If the hotel doesn't have some to lend us, those are easily purchased. I'm sure we're not the only ones to come to the beach in need of the proper accessories." Before she could answer, he leaned down and kissed her tenderly, beginning again where they had left off the night before, only this time at a much slower and less frantic pace. An hour later, Albus and Minerva found themselves happily munching on bacon and egg sandwiches as they strolled past the rows of open air shops and vendor stalls lining the beach. They were each wearing a bathing costume under their light summer attire and were lazily looking for just the right towels to spread under a hired beach umbrella.
Minerva was amazed at the bright colors and the sheer number of items available. She couldn't understand why someone would need so many bags, clothes, or toys to spend a day on the beach, but it was the jewelry she found especially baffling. That, and all the knick-knacks made out of shells no doubt collected from the beach to her right. Muggle tourists must buy the items, though, she thought, or the merchants would be out of business. Albus suddenly dashed ahead of her to the next shop and she could only laugh, wondering what he'd found. "Minerva, look at this!" He exclaimed, motioning her forward. "It's almost like something out of Zonko’s." He was holding up a frisbee, mercifully without fangs, that had been painted in what struck Minerva as the most garish of color combinations. When he spun it neatly on his finger, clearly hypnotized by the alternating colors, she first went cross-eyed, seeing nothing but a giant blur of color, and then began to see colored dots even when she closed her eyes. She reached out and stilled the turning disc. "Not that one, please. I'll play, but please pick something slightly more conventional." He finally looked up at her and realized she was blinking heavily as if trying to clear her vision. "Ah, yes, of course. How about this solid purple one then?" "That's just fine." Minerva smiled indulgently, thinking that Albus looked rather like a young boy as he inspected his new toy. "Just how is it that you're the one keeping me young?" she teased. Albus paid the merchant and laid the flying disc over Minerva's head like some very strange hat and then took her hand in his, leading her to a rack of towels in the next shop. "You choose. Any two you like." Minerva removed the silly bit of plastic from her head and handed it back to him as she moved to inspect the towels. She passed over the ones that felt too thin and cheaply made and then recoiled from another stack which struck her as far too expensive before finally finding some of which she approved. She picked one in blue to match Albus' eyes and another in Gryffindor red, and then declared them finally ready for a morning on the beach. "Not just yet. I believe there's one more thing." Albus produced a large straw hat. It was white and unadorned as he knew Minerva would prefer. "I don't want you to burn that lovely pale skin of yours." She smiled and kissed his cheek in thanks, slipping on the new and far more acceptable headwear. "Now, let's go enjoy the sun and listen to the waves beat against the shore."
Thirty minutes and a fit of the giggles later, Albus stood triumphant next to the rather large beach umbrella he’d managed to rent from the life protector, or whatever he was called. The young lad had offered to help Albus set up the umbrella but it didn’t take him long to see that Albus wanted to impress his lady friend, so the young man had offered some advice on the best way to anchor and position the umbrella before meandering back to his rather tall chair overlooking the sand and waves.
“See, I told you I could do it…the Muggle way,” he finished with a whisper and a wink.
“Yes, and it only took you half an hour and some rather colorful language. I’m sure that mother and her children were more than a little puzzled to hear a man your age rambling on in a rather agitated voice about wands, hexes, and charms in reference to a simple umbrella.”
“Well, it’s better than the language that dashed through my head when the umbrella folded up on me.” He tried to act hurt but there was no denying that he was still in a jovial mood, considering Minerva was slowly unfastening the shirt covering her rather modest bathing attire.
Minerva paused at the button between her breasts and looked at Albus before once again bursting into laughter. “I wish I’d remembered to bring the camera with me this morning. That would have been a true sight for sore eyes. Perhaps I have time to dash back to the hotel and retrieve it before you have to dismantle this thing. I’m sure it wouldn’t take me long,” she suggested teasingly.
“Oh no you don’t! You wanted to stretch out here on the sand and listen to the waves and by Merlin’s beard that’s exactly what we’re going to do. No need for dashing anywhere.” He reached over and took her hand, pulling her into his arms and smiling. “Now, if you’d be so kind as to remove these garments, I’d be more than happy to rub you down in sunscreen.” His lips brushed against hers before pulling back and shrugging off his own shirt and shorts, leaving him in rather interesting swim trunks.
Once more, Minerva paused in her disrobing to watch Albus. His broad chest was visible and she instantly remembered kissing and teasing that very same chest just hours before. The memory of his solid chest against her soft cheek made her sigh appreciatively.
”See something you fancy, my dear?” he asked with a wiggle of his bottom. “Or have you already found a younger man to take my place? Perhaps the life protector?” he asked with a quirking of his eyebrows. “Come to think of it, he did seem rather interested in you. Maybe I should go have a word with him about his roving eyes and lustful glances,” he announced, puffing out his chest and pretending to be rather intent on setting the offending man straight.
“Albus, he’s called a life guard not a protector as you seem to enjoy calling him. And furthermore, he was only doing his job in trying to help. Besides, I am certainly no young beauty and there are plenty of girls out here closer to his age that he can ‘lust’ after.” She slipped her shirt off and tossed it at Albus, hitting him square in the face. “And if I were to look around this beach, with all the men of all ages, I’d still only have eyes for you,” she finished softly, meaning every word of what she’d just uttered.
After taking turns coating the other with adequate sunscreen to prevent any burning, they each settled onto their towels and clasped hands. It was something very simple but certainly not something they could do in their own magical world. Minerva even remarked on how liberating and how special it felt just to be able to touch Albus or to hold his hand as she was doing now without the fear of someone noticing.
He brought her hand to his lips, brushing them softly against the back, then turning it over to kiss her palm before moving on to her wrist. “Indeed it is and I intend to enjoy every single minute of it.”
And he did, never letting go of her hand and toying with her fingers as they spent the afternoon entertaining themselves by people watching. It was something they had done on more than one occasion in Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley but it was somewhat different here. They had no idea about the lives of the people frolicking on the beach, so it was rather amusing to make up wild tales about the sunbathers and speculating on their daily lives.
“Oh, look Minerva! There’s a couple down the beach playing with their frisbee. You said you’d play with me,” he reminded her with pleading eyes and a whine to his voice that sounded like a spoiled little boy.
She lifted up the brim of her hat and turned her head, looking deep into his eyes, which seemed bluer than the ocean they were facing. “Hmm, did I? Are you certain you heard me correctly? I remember telling you to pick another, more sedate color, but are you absolutely positive you heard me, Minerva McGonagall, tell you, Albus Dumbledore, that I’d play?” She loved to watch his eyes light up and dance as she teased him, knowing she had every intention of keeping her word.
Albus rolled onto his side and traced an invisible line from her shoulder down to the tip of her middle finger and back again with a fingertip. His eyes roamed over her body, taking in her curves barely hidden beneath the Muggle bathing suit she’d purchased a few days ago. Against her creamy skin and her dark hair, she looked absolutely ravishing in the red swimsuit.
“If you don’t wish to play, then I’m fairly certain a bit of wandless magic to turn that pretty suit of yours into a bikini wouldn’t be too hard to manage for this old timer,” he idly threatened.
“You wouldn’t dare!” She rolled onto her side facing him, her eyes wide with the prospect of having even more of her body exposed to the hundreds of people on the beach.
“Are you daring me, then, my love?” he asked, hoping he sounded innocent as he waved his hand just inches above her from her neck to the top of her legs and back again.
“If you did that, I’d have to repay the favor, sweetheart.” The added emphasis on the word “sweetheart” told him that she was definitely in the playing mood. “I’ve seen more than one handsome specimen running around these sandy shores in much less than what you’re wearing. Perhaps if I shortened the length of your pants leg and made it a bit tighter around my favorite bits…yes I can see it all shaping up nicely now,” she teased, licking her lips for effect as her eyes settled on his groin.
“I surrender! I surrender!” he called out with his hands waving in the air. “My bits are quite happy with the freedom they have now. No need to minimize their breathing room.”
“Fair enough. Give me a kiss and I’ll play frisbee with you.”
“You drive a hard bargain but it’s a price I’m willing to pay.” He leaned over and very slowly and tenderly kissed her lips, taking his time and enjoying every moment of it. When he pulled back, he slowly opened his eyes. Minerva was bathed in sunlight and the rays were dancing in her hair, casting a golden glow around her. “You are so beautiful and I’m so happy you’re here with me,” he whispered before kissing her again.
A few moments later, Albus and Minerva had managed to reign in their passions and left their belongings behind and headed to the water’s edge. After reminding her once more of the objective and insisting that neither of them use wandless magic to aid the flying disc, they separated and Albus threw the first toss.
Things were going well for them at first. The space between them wasn’t too much, just enough to ensure that the purple disc easily sailed from Albus to Minerva and back to Albus. Feeling more confidant, he suggested they move further apart. Overestimating his strength, Albus threw the frisbee, causing Minerva to run backwards in an effort to catch it. Without watching where she was going, she tripped over a sunbather, landing sprawled across him and his blanket.
The man, who had been napping before being startled awake, threw his hands up, landing them firmly on Minerva’s hips as she struggled to regain her balance and to apologize profusely.
“You owe me no apologizes at all. I wouldn’t mind sharing my blanket with you any day of the week,” he growled with a crooked smile. “That’ll teach me to sleep on the beach when angels are playing nearby.”
Minerva tried desperately to remove herself from the man’s tight grip on her hips, only to find it most difficult. “Sir, I do apologize for disturbing your nap but I would like to get up now, please.”
She placed her hand on the man’s chest and used her strength to push up from him as well as keeping him at a safer distance. She was nearly freed when he tugged on her hips once more, causing her to fall back into his lap.
“Ah, my dear, are you alright?” Albus asked as he overshadowed both Minerva and the lecherous man beneath her. “I am terribly sorry, my love. I’m afraid I was a bit overzealous in my throw that last time.”
He offered her his hand and pulled her to her feet and into his arms. After a cursory once over to make sure she wasn’t harmed, he kissed her passionately, stealing her breath in the process. Once the kiss ended, he tapped her on the end of the nose then turned his attentions back to the man.
“Terribly sorry my wife here tripped over you. We will be more careful in the future.” With his arm wrapped securely around Minerva’s waist, he escorted her back to their towels and packed the frisbee into their bags. He was done playing frisbee for the day.

“Your wife, Albus?” she asked, shocked at his choice of expressions.
“Yes, well, I always assumed you would be some day,” he answered truthfully. “And it sounded better than girlfriend or lover, I’m sure. At any rate, I didn’t like the way he was looking at you and holding you. The leech!”
Minerva reached over and caressed Albus’ cheek tenderly before scooting from her towel to his and setting into his embrace, despite the blazing sun overhead. “I love you, Albus. Thank you for coming to my rescue.”
He smiled and dropped a kiss to her shoulder, letting his lips linger there as he watched the offending man pack up his things and leave. “And I love you. I know you didn’t really need my help but something came over me. Seeing that man with his hands on you…I just…I couldn’t help myself.”
“I’m glad you couldn’t help yourself.” She turned her head and rested her forehead against his. “I think I’ve had enough sun and sand for this afternoon. Maybe we can come back out here tonight when there are less people and we can enjoy the warm water by ourselves.”
“I’d like that very much but don’t forget, you promised to model that special outfit you bought when we were shopping. I haven’t let it slip my mind, just in case you were wondering.”
She laughed softly. “As long as you’re around, how could I forget? If you’ll take the umbrella back, I’ll pack up and we can be on our way.”
“Yes, dear,” he mocked.
“You should learn to listen to your wife,” she shot back with a raised eyebrow.
After a quick, but delicious lunch, Albus and Minerva decided to just stroll around the area of the city near their hotel and see what they could find of interest. They found several charming cafes, most with outdoor seating, as well as the local cinema, and what appeared to be a shopping district catering more to locals than tourists. They were both completely taken with the architecture and the decoration at most of the places they passed, it was so different from everything they were used to at home. Especially the churches, including one enormous cathedral that had been under construction for nearly one hundred years and was still unfinished.
"That's amazing," Albus said, reading the informational signs. "Most of the people who started the work are probably dead now, what a humbling thought."
"I can't believe it isn't finished. What's taking so long?"
"I don't know." Albus turned to look up at the church as bells started to ring. "But apparently they're using it."
"Oh, Albus, it's a wedding!" Minerva clutched his arm in both her hands and looked up at him with shining eyes. "Look how beautiful the bride is."
"Nowhere near as beautiful as you," he said softly, ignoring the wedding party entirely as he looked down at Minerva.
She smiled and blushed, making her even more beautiful in his eyes. "Stop that. Every woman is beautiful on her wedding day. They look so happy."
Albus finally looked up toward the steps of the church and had to agree that the young couple was glowing with happiness and the bride was indeed beautiful. He thoroughly approved of the way her groom looked at her; it was the way he looked at Minerva, and clearly said he worshiped the very ground she walked on.
"Do you think they'll make it?" Minerva asked, leaning her head against his shoulder with a wistful sigh.
"Do you see the way they're looking at each other?" When she nodded that she did, he continued. "If they can just remember how they feel right now, the love and devotion, how special they think the other person is, then they'll last forever."
"I hope so."
Albus slipped his arm around her shoulders and kissed the top of her head. "There really is something fascinating and wonderful about weddings. We don't even know these people and only wandered across their path by accident, but I already feel as if we're sharing a little of their happiness." He tilted Minerva’s head up and kissed her tenderly. "Have you ever thought about what sort of wedding you’d have?"
She smiled. "Fishing for information? I always thought I’d like something simple and intimate, but elegant. I’d like to be married outside, with just a few friends and family there to watch, perhaps I’d carry a single exotic flower instead of a bouquet. What about you: have you ever imagined your dream wedding?"
"Only the bride. She’d be the most beautiful, and hopefully happiest, bride there ever was or ever will be. Everything else is insignificant compared to finding the right woman to spend my life with and having her actually agree to be my wife." He looked meaningfully down into Minerva’s eyes, telling her silently that she was the woman he’d been waiting for all his life.
"If you’re trying to charm me, Albus Dumbledore, you’re doing a very good job."
Albus chuckled and kissed her again. "Just answering your question, darling."
Minerva smiled and leaned her head against his shoulder again, watching the newly married couple take a long series of photos with their family and friends.
When they finally made it back to their hotel that night, after yet another wonderful feast on local specialities and a moonlit stroll, Minerva rushed to grab something from her suitcase and shut herself up in the bathroom for so long that Albus’ first reaction – after momentary stupidity – was grave concern.
"Minerva, are you all right?" he called, tapping lightly at the door and leaning his head against it to listen.
"Fine, love. You just relax and I’ll be out to join you in a few minutes."
Albus chuckled, feeling he knew what she must be up to. Anticipating yet another lovely piece of lacy underclothing or a new nightie, he slipped out of his clothes and stretched out on the turned-down bed, conjuring a few candles to hover above the bed. He leaned back with his hands behind his head and relaxed, closing his eyes and imagining what Minerva might look like when she finally emerged from the bathroom.
He was so caught up in his fantasy that he didn’t notice when the real Minerva crawled into bed beside him.
"You can open your eyes now," she said in a teasing, yet very sultry voice.
When he did finally open his eyes, Albus was struck breathless by the vision in black silk that hovered above him.
"I see you’ve done most of the hard work for me," she smiled, glancing hungrily down at his naked body as she pressed her hips against his, trapping his erect member between their bodies.
Albus moaned and lifted his hands to caress her body, but Minerva shook her head and pinned them to the bed. It was a long and very satisfying time before she finally let him touch her, or even think about removing her nightgown.
Minerva awoke in the middle of the night to the disturbingly close sound of voices. "Albus," she whispered, tightening her arm around his chest.
Albus looked down at her with a smile, which quickly faded when he saw the look of distress on her face. "Did I wake...Minerva, what's wrong?"
"Don't you hear those voices? It sounds like there are people in the room with us. What's going on?" Minerva was starting to feel very confused, though Albus' seeming lack of worry was calming.
He chuckled and repeatedly pressed a button on a small plastic box he held in his hand. The volume of the voices suddenly increased and Minerva could understand what they were saying. At least, she knew the words, the conversation itself seemed very unusual in the current setting. Then she noticed the blue light dancing off their bodies and followed Albus line of sight to what she had assumed was a second wardrobe across from the foot of the bed. The wooden doors were wide open, allowing them a view of a large plastic box with a glass screen. On the screen were the two people to whom the voices belonged and a very unrealistic looking sitting room.
Minerva blinked against the brightness of the light. "Albus, what on Earth are you doing watching television at two in the morning?"
"I've been wanting to try it since we got here and I discovered it hiding in that oh so clever cabinet, and when I couldn't get to sleep it seemed like the perfect time. I'm sorry to wake you."
"It's okay," her eye lids were already growing heavy again and her voice was hardly more than a whisper. "I just didn't know what those voices were, I thought we were in danger."
Albus kissed the top of her head and tightened his arms around her. "I would never let anything happen to you, no matter where we happen to be spending the night."
"I know," she yawned. "I love you, Albus. Get some sleep."
"I will," he promised. "I love you, too."
And yet, when Minerva awoke the next morning, the television was still on and Albus still clutched the small plastic box in his right hand. The little box appeared to be some sort of controlling device, perhaps the closest Muggles could manage to a magic wand, she thought as she carefully pried it from Albus' hand and attempted to turn off the noisy box.
Unfortunately, the buttons were labeled in Catalan and Minerva had no understanding of the language beyond finding the ladies toilet in a restaurant. She managed to turn up the volume to a near ear splitting level, change the language to Spanish, and went through every channel the bloody thing offered about six times. She was just about to throw the remote through the glass front of the set, when Albus slipped it from her hand and easily turned the television off.
"I'll have to teach you how to do that more efficiently," he joked, opening one puffy eye to look up at her. "Unless of course you were practicing your foreign languages. Perhaps we should add courses on Spanish at Hogwarts."
"No thank you." Minerva tried to sound cold and dismissive, but couldn't quite hide the smile in her eyes. "I'll just leave this silly toy for you. How long did you watch it before finally falling asleep?"
"I don't know." Albus rubbed his eyes, looked out the window toward the beach, and then collapsed back against the pillows. "Seems like just a few minutes ago, but it was worth it. Minerva, television is amazing. It's come so far since I first saw a news program back in the fifties. Did you know they have the picture in color now? I was watching British and American programs. From Spain, imagine!"
Minerva couldn't help laughing. "Albus, you sound like a little boy excited over his first broomstick."
"I don't feel like a little boy this morning," he grumbled, attempting once more to sit up and look at her. "I feel like a very old man."
"Well, that's what you get for staying up half the night. Should I have the hotel remove that silly thing from the room so you can get some sleep the rest of the week?"
Albus pulled Minerva down into his arms and kissed her soundly before guiding her head to rest against his shoulder. "No, I'll be good, I promise," he joked.
Minerva tickled his side and began nibbling at his neck. "You better be good, or you might miss out on all the fun for the rest of the trip."
His body beginning to react to her touch, Albus rolled onto his side and kissed Minerva again. "I'm starting to feel less old," he said, eyes twinkling.
"Good," she purred, her hand slipping beneath the sheets. "Very, very good."
Exhausted and glowing, Minerva and Albus collapsed together into the rumpled bedclothes. The pillows had been thrown across the room. The comforter on the bed lay in the floor along with the top sheet. Even the bottom sheet was threatening to join the others on the floor, halfway hanging on to one top and bottom corner.
“Godric’s Ghost, Minerva, that was amazing. If that’s what a good lad gets for simply obeying, then you’ll never ever have to worry about me!”
Minerva swatted his arm playfully. “Who says I want you to be a good lad all the time? Even though I might seem prim and proper to the rest of the world doesn’t mean I’m not into adventure and excitement in the bedroom…especially with you.”
“Point taken and I completely agree.” He kissed the top of her head as his hands traveled lazily up and down her back, skimming over her flushed body. “I have to say that being with you is the most thrilling adventure of my life. I never know what will happen during the course of a day but I just know from the moment I wake to the moment I fall asleep, it’s going to be wonderful with you by my side. I can’t remember ever feeling such a freedom in a relationship to express myself and to know that I’ll be accepted by the woman I love more than anything.”
Minerva felt warm tears filling her eyes and, try as she might, she was not able to keep them from spilling down her cheeks and onto his bare chest. “That’s the most beautiful thing anyone has ever said to me,” she answered, though her voice cracked. She tilted her head and looked at him though misty green eyes. “I want you to know that I feel the same way. I know that I can be myself around you, always, and that you’ll love me, faults and all. I may seem uptight to the rest of the world but you have always seen a different side of me, the one that I protect and preserve only for you.”

Chapter 5
After spending most of the morning cuddling on their rumpled bedding, Minerva suggested they take a shower and at least make some attempt to see or do something in the city.
“I’m glad you said that. I took the liberty of making some arrangements for the day, but we aren’t required to be anywhere until nearly seven tonight. So, we can do some shopping if you’d like or visit the museum of your choice.”
Minerva looked at him quizzically. “And what, pray tell, have you planned for this evening? And when did you have time to plan or arrange something? I’ve been with you almost constantly.”
“Ah, I didn’t say I arranged it after we arrived, now did I? This has been something I’ve wanted to do for quite some time and I contacted the appropriate people before we ever left Hogwarts, before you even knew of the trip as a matter of fact.”
“No hints for me?” Minerva sat up and straddled Albus’ waist, looking down at him pleadingly, using her naked body to tempt him into revealing all his secrets.
“You’ll find out this evening, though I will say that I’m very grateful you trust me so and that you’re not afraid of the water.” His eyes danced over her body before settling once more on her face. “And while I do find you incredibly delectable, you’re not going to ply anything from these lips until later tonight. Though, I will let you try to kiss the information from me…or seduce it out of me.”
“You randy old goat!” she teased. “You can’t possibly tell me that after that lovemaking session you’re ready to go again.”
“Didn’t say that I was but I’m sure by the time I get you so aroused that you’re practically begging for it, my entire body will be in full cooperation with yours.”
His eyes darkened as he leaned up, holding her flush against him. His lips descended slowly upon hers in a passionate kiss as he lowered her onto her back.
“Mmmm, now where to begin my feast?” he asked, his tongue darting out of his mouth to wet his lips. “Here, perhaps,’ he said as his fingertips trailed down her neck. “Or perhaps here,” he suggested, his fingers skimming her taut nipples. “Hmm, so many choices and all the time in the world to explore,” he breathed huskily into her ear before licking the shell of it, beginning his slow exploration of her body.
“I can’t believe we spent the entire day in bed!” Minerva was stretched out on her back, her hands lying limply at her side as Albus flopped beside her on the bed. “Well, to be exact, not all day.”
“No, I think that time on the balcony and the one in the shower count as different locations though it’s the same basic principle.”
“I’ll be sore tomorrow, for sure. But it will be the best sort of sore if you ask me.” Minerva turned her head to find Albus smiling at her, love evident in his eyes.
“I’m glad you feel that way but I have something in mind that might take away some of your soreness, though if we don’t get up and shower again, we might not make our seven o’clock appointment.”
Minerva gasped. “I’d nearly forgotten about that.” She rolled onto her side and propped her head on Albus’ chest. “Still no hints?”
His only answer was a kiss to her palm and a shaking of his head.
It was nearly 6:45pm before Albus and Minerva headed through the doors of the hotel and he quickly guided them down towards the water.
“Back to the ocean again, Albus?”
“Yes and no,” he answered. He tightened his hand around her waist and quickened his pace, not sure how much longer he could keep his secret. “See that rather large boat over there? The one where the man is standing and waiving? That’s your surprise…well part of it at least.”
Minerva stopped walking and looked at Albus, surprise evident on her face.
“I thought we might sail out a bit into the ocean, set anchor, and spend one night away from everything and everyone. It will be just us and the ocean.”
“Albus…you don’t know how to sail the boat! What if something happens?” Minerva wasn’t sure she was exactly thrilled with his idea but she knew in her heart he’d never put them in danger.
“My dear, it’s all arranged. This nice young lad will guide us around the harbour, within eyesight of the shore. During that time, we will enjoy a lovely candle lit dinner on deck and afterwards, a soothing massage for both of us below. I have arranged for a masseuse to join us. While we’re getting our massages downstairs, our friend here will set up anchor and when the nice masseuse is finished, she and the guide will travel back to shore. He will come back out tomorrow, pull up anchor and guide us safely back to shore.” Albus could feel Minerva’s tension easing as he laid out his plan for their night. “But if anything happens, don’t forget we’re a very talented witch and wizard so I’m sure we’ll be able to handle any unforeseen problems.”
Minerva felt slightly embarrassed at having to be reminded of her skills and talents. “Lead the way, my captain,” she joked. “I trust you and I know as long as you’re with me, everything will be perfectly fine."
Several hours later, Albus and Minerva lay on the deck of the small boat, wrapped in a thin sheet and each other’s arms. They watched the stars come to life in the inky sky above.
"This is so peaceful. I can’t think when I last had the opportunity to be completely away from other people like this." Minerva rolled onto her side and kissed Albus’ shoulder. "Thank you for arranging all of this. It’s just amazing."
He turned his head and smiled at her. "I just wanted us to have a chance to truly get away and relax. Not just away from home and responsibility, but from anything and anyone that might interrupt us. That man on the beach yesterday, for example."
Minerva shivered. "Why do some men seem to think that such aggressive and offensive tactics actually work with women?"
"I honestly don’t know. Perhaps they’ve just lost all sense of perspective. I could never see a reason to treat a woman so poorly."
"Which is just one more reason why I’m so lucky to have you. Let me pour you some more of that champagne before it goes flat and we get too disgustingly sweet with each other."
Minerva stretched and sat up, summoning the bottle and pouring two glasses of the sweet bubbly wine. "I’d like to plan something special for you before we go back home. Is there any time you haven’t scheduled yet?"
"Hmm, well, I’ve planned our last night and made a few bookings for dinner throughout the holiday, but I didn’t do anything for tomorrow at all."
"Good, then just leave everything to me." She brushed aside the sheet and leaned back against a cushion, the moonlight gleaming off her exposed body as Minerva tilted her head back and gazed lazily up at the night sky.
"Do you have any idea how amazing you look right now?" Albus breathed. "If I wasn’t so exhausted from all our activity earlier today, I’d ravish you right here on the deck."
Minerva giggled and looked down at him again. "But we’re both exhausted, not to mention a bit drunk and far too relaxed from that massage to move."
"Alas, I’ll just have to settle for the lovely view, then."
They finished their champagne and then snuggled together under the sheet once more, talking late into the night before finally drifting off to a peaceful sleep. Rocked by the motion of the boat in the waves, they wouldn’t awaken until late the next morning when the boatman returned, clearing his throat and looking away over the sea as though it were the most interesting sight he’d ever witnessed. Albus stirred and looked around, startled to find their hapless guide standing a few feet from their nearly exposed bodies.
"Just a moment," he promised, waking Minerva and hurrying down below to dress.
When they returned to the deck, the older gentleman was busy tying up to the dock.
"Sorry about that," Albus said awkwardly, doubling the amount of the man’s tip. "Afraid we rather lost track of time."
"’S all right." The man grinned and pushed his cap back from his brow. "Seen worse’n that in my time, I’ll tell ya."
Albus chuckled. "I can imagine. Well, thank you for being discreet and for doing such a wonderful job with the boat."
"Ayuh, thank you." The man winked, slipping the money into the pocket of his shirt. "Enjoy yer holiday."
Albus shook hands with the weathered American ex-patriot and helped Minerva out onto the dock.

Oh my! That sounds like a VERY wonderful getaway. Where do I go to get signed up??
*swoon* I could use a massage. Hmmmm, I wonder what Minerva will plan. Coming up with anything to top that would be hard. Great job, thanks for updating.
Have a great day!

He calmed Minerva's fears quickly, though I''m suprised she has them at all anymore.
I do look forward to what she plans, especially on such short notice and in a place with which she is not familiar.

Such a cute fic, although maybe you should put a stronger lemon warning at the top. I don't really think fifteen year olds should be reading all of this. *sigh* Albus and Minerva just being themselves-as long as camera thieves and pervy guys stay away . Please update soon, I'm eager to see what Minerva's up to and if they face a much bigger obstacle later.

A/N: My deepest apologize for the delay in posting. The story was finished, I just forgot about updating. Enjoy the last chapter!
Chapter 6 Once they’d been back to the hotel in order to freshen up and don clean clothes, Minerva managed to give Albus the slip, promising him a special dinner that night to make up for an afternoon without her company.
Bored and a bit lonely, Albus strolled down toward the beach and indulged himself in a sea of sweet treats as he browsed the shops once again, looking for something unique to buy for Minerva. He finally settled on a shell sculpture in a mottled, but passable cat-shape. Minerva meanwhile left the hotel, ducked into a bookshop until she’d seen Albus leave and then doubled back to the hotel for a little meeting with the concierge, who luckily spoke excellent, if heavily accented, English.
"Ah, si, senora," he beamed and bowed his head, light from the sconces reflecting off his overly oiled dark hair. "You wish to surprise your husband with something special, no? I will do my best to obtain anything you desire."
His over-eagerness was a bit off-putting, but Minerva reminded herself that people were more demonstrative on the continent and that it was the man’s job to be helpful. "Yes, I’d like to take him to dinner tonight somewhere away from the usual tourist spots, and I’m wondering if there are any football matches being played tomorrow with tickets still available."
The tall, olive-skinned man combed his fingers through his bristly mustache as he appeared deep in thought for a moment. Suddenly, he smiled and snapped his fingers. "I will make a reservation for you at Les 7 Portes in Barceloneta for....eight of the clock?"
Minerva smiled. "Yes, eight will be perfect. Where is Barceloneta, and how do we get there?"
"Not to worry, senora. I will call for you a taxi. Now, as for the football." He began again with the moustache as he thought, thumbing through a manila folder of papers on his little desk. "Yes, I thought so. Is not professional, but very good match. I think I will have tickets for you before dinner tonight."
"Thank you very much. You will keep it secret from the senor, won’t you?"
"Ah, si. Of course, senora. Will be our little secret." He winked. "I shall leave the tickets in a plain envelope in your name. Mrs...Dumbledore, was it?"
"That will be fine." Minerva wondered how often she would have to lie about her marital status on this holiday. "Thank you again for all your help. You’ve been wonderful."
"It’s my job," he said proudly. "Will there being anything else?"
Minerva thought for a moment. "Yes, please. If you see Mr. Dumbledore, tell him I’ll meet him in the coffee shop next door at three?"
The concierge agreed and bowed as Minerva left the hotel once more.
Minerva had one more stop to make before she reunited with Albus and for some strange reason, she hadn’t wanted the hotel man’s help with this particular errand. She lost her way twice after leaving the hotel lobby, infinitely glad it was the middle of the day since she was alone in a strange place, and then finally found her way to the restaurant where they’d had dinner the first night. For a moment, she thought she had guessed wrong again, but then her eyes lit upon the sign for which she’d been searching.
She slipped into a tiny store-front dance studio and smiled at the petite dark-haired woman behind the counter. The room was dark and smelled vaguely of incense and flowers. A red curtain, which matched the flower in the woman’s hair as well as her wrap around skirt and low healed shoes, separated the front counter from what Minerva assumed was the area where lessons were taught and demonstrations given.
"Bon dia. Que parla...English?" Minerva asked haltingly.
The woman smiled and nodded, then held up one finger to indicate that Minerva should wait a moment. She called into the room hidden behind the curtain and a teenage boy slouched out.
He looked Minerva slowly up and down. "You English?"
"Si. Yes." She couldn’t say much for the young man’s manners, but he seemed to be her only hope of communicating her questions to the woman she now saw was several years older than her original estimation. Probably the boy’s mother, she thought. "I was wondering about your Flamenco lessons. Could my husband and I have just one night of lessons?" There she went, lying again.
The boy looked more bored than ever and spoke to her as if she were a complete mental incompetent. "Yes. One hundred Pesetas for two hour lesson. Classes at four, seven, and ten tonight."
His mother looked hopefully at Minerva. "You dance? Today?"
She exchanged some rapid-fire Catalan with the boy and then smiled and showed Minerva what appeared to be a booking register. Minerva smiled in return and pointed to 10:00pm on the page.
"Ah, yes, yes. Diez?"
"Yes. Si."
Minerva carefully counted out the strange money and wrote her name in the register. So far, there appeared to be three other couples signed-up for ten o’clock that night. She thanked them in an awkward mix of Spanish and Catalan and left the tiny dance studio, finally ready to meet Albus again and looking forward to seeing him more than she would have expected. It was exhausting and somewhat unnerving wandering around the city on her own.
Albus looked down at his multi-faceted pocketwatch for the fourth time in the last ten minutes. He had missed Minerva dreadfully this afternoon, despite being thankful for a bit of time to do a little shopping for her. He had come to realize over the last week spent in her company that the more time he spent with her, the more of her time he craved. It would be difficult when they had to return to Hogwarts and their individual duties, but at the end of the day, as long as he could curl up with Minerva in his arms, all would be right with the world. He smiled to himself as he slipped into a daydream of what their lives would be like upon returning home, assuming of course that things went the way he hoped.
“Did you miss me,” she asked, leaning down to whisper into his ear before drawing his lobe between her teeth teasingly. “Mmm, maybe a little,” he joked back, knowing she would not take his answer lightly.
She allowed her lips to skim a heated path from his earlobe down the side of his throat, lightly using her tongue to taunt him further. “Perhaps I should go away and come back later then. Give you time to really miss me.” They both knew it was an idle threat but the game was too much fun to stop so quickly. A soft moan from Albus’ lips was enough to convince Minerva that she had the upper hand.
“I really wish you wouldn’t do that. I’m rather tired of beating off all these women who are so intent on sharing my table. I need a nice break from their lustful advances.”
In a swift motion and before Minerva could reply, Albus had slipped his arm around Minerva’s waist and pulled her into his lap, kissing her soundly and passionately as several passers-by stared at the adorable couple on the verge of canoodling in public.
“The tea you requestion, Senor,” a young lad announced as he set down the fresh pot of Minerva’s favorite tea and cleared his throat, causing Albus and Minerva to pull apart reluctantly. Albus thanked the man and tipped him before helping Minerva out of his lap and into her own seat.
“Did you enjoy your afternoon, my dear?” He busied himself with preparing her cup of tea as she sat back and straightened her attire and hair.
“I did and I hope you’ll like what I’ve got planned. We’re having dinner at eight and I want you to wear something comfortable so you can fully enjoy what I have planned for afterwards.” There was a gleam in her eyes and she was finding it incredibly hard to keep her secrets from him.
For the remainder of the afternoon, Minerva had to scold herself more than she ever dreamed possible. She was finding it increasingly hard to keep her plans a secret from Albus, who wasn’t even really trying very hard to get her to tell him her plans. He would occasionally pretend to be overly curious but Minerva could tell that he was excited about the surprise and didn’t want to ruin it for either of them.
A little before eight, they headed downstairs and Minerva nodded to the helpful concierge. Within minutes, Albus and Minerva were snuggled together in the back of a rather nice taxi, much nicer than the one they’d used on their first day in Barcelona. Minerva made a mental note to tip the concierge for all his help and for arranging a suitable taxi driver.
“Just where are we going, my dear?” Albus finally asked as they were fully underway.
“Les 7 Portes in Barceloneta where we have reservations for eight of the clock,” she laughed as she told how the helpful man at the desk had helped her arrange their dinner plans. “I’m told the restaurant has been in existence since the 1830’s and it comes highly recommended by the locals for taste and authenticity. I thought we might give it a try.”
Albus leaned over and kissed her first on the cheek then softly on the lips. “Sounds wonderful. I’m always open to trying new dishes and if a restaurant has been in business that long, it has to be doing something right for the locals to continue patronizing it. As a matter of fact, I had looked into several restaurants just like this one, though I could never decide on one in particular. Thank you, my dear.”
He leaned over and kissed her again as they zoomed through the streets. They were so lost in each other that they never noticed when the taxi came to a halt in front of the restaurant and the driver had to cough several times to grab their attention without being rude.
“That was an excellent choice of restaurants. I don’t think I’ve ever been so stuffed and so saddened that I couldn’t eat more,” he joked as they stepped out onto the street. There was a slight bustle of activity but the streets weren’t nearly as crowded as the main tourist spots they’d visited over the last week. “So where are we off to now?” Minerva looped her arm around his waist and he returned the favor, sensing a need to have her close and a need to be protective.
“We’re not far from our next adventure. You may not like it but I thought it was a once in a lifetime opportunity for us.” Minerva was now growing nervous about the idea of Flamenco lessons and wished she hadn’t paid such a large amount of money up front to hold their spot without talking to Albus first.
“I’m sure whatever it is, I’ll love it. If you’ve planned it with us in mind, how could I not be thrilled with the idea?” He could hear her hesitation in her voice and he tried his best to put her mind at ease, though her self doubting had created a spark of nervous curiosity in his own mind.
“Here we are,” she announced as she stopped outside the dance studio. “I booked us for ten o’clock. I thought we might learn a few Flamenco dance moves.”
The look of apprehension in her eyes caused his heart to constrict. How could this amazing woman actually think that he wouldn’t want to do everything in his power to explore and appreciate her plans?
“You are a wonderful woman of mystery and I’m incredibly happy that you’re all mine,” he whispered into her ear. “I’ve seen these sort of dances in my various travels, but I know they’re all going to pale in comparison with you and I’m more than willing to devote an evening to learning how to dance with you.”
Minerva threw her arms around his neck, covering his face with light kisses. She finally regained control of herself and hugged him tightly. “I saw a few of the dancers the other night and thought it might be fun.” She felt a little warmth seeping into her cheeks. “I had a dream about dancing with you like that and I have to say it left me feeling a bit…warm.”
Albus pressed her against the wall outside the studio and nuzzled her neck. “Are you sure it wasn’t my body rubbing against yours that created that delicious warmth in your dream?” Minerva lolled her head to the side and sighed softly. “Could have been…probably was…mmm, we should explore both options though,” she purred.
At the end of their two hour lesson, the woman Minerva had first greeted earlier in the day walked gracefully over to them and motioned for her son to join them. After a few sentences in Catalan, the boy began to translate and was much nicer than he’d been earlier in the day.
“Mother says she’s never seen a novice with such skill and grace. She is most pleased you came to her studio this evening. She says you have a very talented duende.” The mother noticed Minerva’s furrowed brow and spoke quickly to her son who went on to explain the word for Albus and Minerva. “It means something like an internal inspiration, something that moves your body instead of you moving it,” he said, rather embarrassed by the thought. He then turned his attention to Albus as his mother spoke again.
“And you, senor. Mother says you seem to inspire the pretty lady and she can see the love you hold for her in your eyes.” The young lad shifted uncomfortably from foot to foot as he relayed messages from his mother to the couple before him. “She says…you make a lovely couple and you’re free to come back and dance here any time.”
Albus patted the young man on the back and smiled. “Please tell her that we appreciate and accept her offer but we’re only here for a few more days. We have enjoyed the evening immensely and won’t forget the lessons she’s taught us this evening.” He slipped the young lad a tip, for his skillful translation, then smiled. “I think I’d best get my pretty lady back to the hotel. It’s growing late and we don’t need to be wandering the streets at such an hour.”
The boy turned to his mother and asked a question to which she nodded her head vigorously. “You wait here and I’ll be back in a few minutes. I’ll get your transportation back to your hotel.”
Minerva and Albus thanked the woman and her son as best they could in Catalan, trying to show their true appreciation for the wonderful evening and the lesson. As it turned out, Minerva seemed to be a natural at the dance, once she closed her eyes and let herself get lost in the sound of the music, knowing Albus was right there with her and enjoying it as well.
Albus looked out the window of the studio and was shocked to see a horse drawn carriage pulling up to the front door.
“Carriage for…beautiful couple,” the older woman said and smiled before disappearing behind the curtain.
Albus escorted Minerva into the carriage and they snuggled together, enjoying the sights and sounds of the night life as they ended their romantic evening with an unexpected carriage ride back to their hotel.
"Tell me the truth. You arranged this carriage ride, didn’t you?"
Minerva pretended to be scandalized by the very idea. "I most certainly did not! This was as big a surprise to me as it was for you. Actually, you could have knocked me over with a feather when that young man spoke to us so politely, never mind his arranging this ride for us. You should have seen how rudely he treated me this afternoon."
Albus frowned at that. "Why would he be rude?"
"He probably has to interpret for a lot of annoying tourists. I would imagine it gets to be rather boring. He wasn’t rude as much as indifferent, really, but it was abrasive."
"Well, I’m glad you were able to arrange the lesson anyway. It’s been a very nice evening. Almost worth spending a couple of hours alone this afternoon." Albus smiled and kissed her temple. "Thank you."
"You’re welcome. I’m very glad you enjoyed yourself tonight, but my surprises aren’t over yet."
"More fancy under garments?" he asked hopefully.
Minerva laughed and tickled his side. "Well, I do have one nightgown you haven’t seen yet, but the holiday’s only half over. I think I should save it for later in the trip. Anyway, this has nothing to do with underwear, or anything to do with our bedroom at all."
Albus pouted, but she could tell he was very curious about what else she may have arranged.
"There should be an envelope waiting for us at the hotel, but I won’t tell you yet what’s inside it. Only that we can’t spend all day tomorrow in bed because we have somewhere to be around lunchtime."
Albus’ curiosity was suitably piqued, but Minerva hid the beige envelope in her handbag as soon as the desk clerk handed it across the marble counter. Then she distracted Albus by changing into her nightgown and practicing some of the dance moves they’d learned. He watched appreciatively for a long time before coaxing her into bed to watch more television as they drifted off to sleep.
They enjoyed a large breakfast in their rooms the next morning before Albus allowed Minerva to guide his wardrobe choices, bursting to know where she was taking him. He never would have guessed that they had tickets to a football match, but his face lit up with excitement when she led him into the stadium.
"I love football," he exclaimed. "But it’s been ages since I attended a proper match. I always want to teach the rest of the staff and have games on the Quidditch pitch, but no one else seems interested."
Minerva smiled and squeezed his arm, relieved and happy to know that she had pleased him so much with such a simple gesture. "I’m very happy that you’re so excited. Football is the one Muggle sport I really understand. It’s a bit like Quidditch really."
It took them a few minutes to find their seats, Albus stopping along the way to buy some sort of sausage sandwich and a beer from two of the vendors before they finally settled in. The match began shortly after they were seated and the couple was soon swept up in the excitement of the crowd and the action of the fast-paced game. It didn’t matter that they had no idea who the players were and couldn’t understand the announcements, it was still an exciting and enjoyable afternoon.
Albus had enjoyed two or three more beers over the course of the match as well as making friends with a few rowdy young men sitting next to them. He left the stadium in high spirits, singing in dubious Spanish along with his new friends. Minerva could only shake her head and laugh, keeping one arm firmly around his waist so he couldn’t wander off without her.
After leaving the football match, Albus and Minerva made their way to a small park nearby. Minerva was relieved to find more vendors selling food and got a bit more lunch into Albus, sobering him up a little.
"Oh, that’s better. I don’t think I’ve really let go and enjoyed myself that much in a long time. Thank you." He leaned down and kissed Minerva’s cheek as they strolled down a winding, tree-lined path.
"You’re very welcome. I enjoyed myself as well. I think I really could become a football fan if I went to a few more matches. Perhaps we should start regularly supporting an English team."
Albus stopped walking and looked down at her with a mix of amazement and excitement sparkling in his blue eyes. "I would absolutely love that!"
They spent the remainder of the afternoon strolling from one tiny park to another and taking in the sights and sounds of Barcelona before stopping at a tapas bar for dinner and then returning to the hotel once again.

The second week of the holiday was an idyllic repeat of the first few days. Albus and Minerva visited several art museums, soaked up plenty of sun at the beach, watched street performers in the various small parks around the city, and ate their fill of deliciously prepared seafood and desserts.
Like the best of things, however, it was soon nearing the end of their little holiday away from the rest of the world. Their last night in Barcelona had been planned by Albus and he was growing more nervous but also more assured of the things he wanted to say and do this evening. He thought back over the last two weeks and how he and Minerva had grown closer together, if that had even been possible. Never before had he felt such a strong pull at his heartstrings, knowing he would never want to be without this wonderful woman who excited and amazed him at every turn.
“Albus, does this look alright for what you have planned?”
Minerva turned slowly in the center of the room, giving Albus the chance to drink in the sight of her muggle dress. It was very form fitting, accentuating her curves beautifully and baring her soft, creamy shoulders. The hem of the dress fell just to her knees, leaving most of her shapely legs to view and the soft black color lent an elegance to her attire.
He swallowed hard, finding it difficult to formulate words into coherent sentences. “Minerva, you look ravishing. I’ve never seen you in that dress but it’s one you should wear more often,” he complimented before crossing the room to kiss her lips soundly but tenderly. “I may have more than my hands full this evening, keeping all the men away from you.”
She caressed his cheek then kissed it. “I only have eyes for you. All others pale in comparison.” She summoned a lace shawl and draped it about her shoulders. “I’m ready when you are. I thought I’d bring this in case we end up at the ocean. I’ve noticed the breezes growing cooler at night.”
“Yes, they have and tonight I think you might need me to cast a warming charm on you as well as myself. I’m not sure how cool it will be, but it’s safe to say, there will be a change in the air,” he winked.
Minerva looked at him curiously. All day long, he’d been making comments similar to that one and she was nearly at her wits end. She’d tried all her tricks to get him to say something that might give her an idea of what he had planned but he was being very good about keeping those secrets. All he would tell her was that she would probably not like the idea at first but if she trusted him and in their abilites as a witch and wizard, she would be just fine.
Instead of going to dinner, as she had incorrectly assumed, Albus guided Minerva on a leisurely stroll around the city, taking in the sights and sounds of their last night. They stopped to share a dance in the middle of the street, earning roaring applause from the patrons in the nearby café.
It was nearly sunset and Albus took a moment to glance at his watch. They were right on schedule and just a few more blocks from the shore. The man had promised to have everything ready for their arrival and had even promised to take a few snapshots to mark the occasion, as well as Minerva’s expression.
“Minerva, I love you with all my heart and this has been a wonderful two weeks. I hope you will indulge me one last time this week.”
She nodded her head and assured him that she trusted him thoroughly and was ready for whatever he had planned. Feeling reassured, he wrapped his arm around her waist and stepped out onto the beach where a hot air balloon awaited them.
“Albus…is this ours? A hot air balloon?” she gasped as her face lit up with a gleaming smile of excitement.
“Care to join me in a trip towards the stars?” he asked softly as he leaned closer to her so the man could take a few photos for them. “I thought it would be romantic to watch the sunset from the sky and to take in the sights of the city at night.”
Minerva wrapped her arms around him and kissed him soundly, pouring all her love into the kiss and paying no heed to the flustered balloonist who was trying to take discreet photos to commemorate the occasion. Albus had told the gentleman that this was a special night for him and the love of his life and the man had promised to do everything in his power to help make it a success.
The sun was just beginning to dip below the horizon, casting an orange-reddish tint to the horizon and the air was a bit cooler, just as Albus predicted. Thankfully, he remembered to cast strong warming charms on them so they were more than comfortable. Albus stood behind Minerva, his arms wrapped securely around her waist as the multi-colored balloon floated effortlessly over the water.
Minerva leaned out over the edge of the basket to watch the city lighting up as the sun went down. Albus wrapped his arms around her waist and held onto her carefully. "Am I making you nervous?" she teased, looking back over her shoulder at his worried expression. "I just don't want anything to happen to you, darling. You're far too precious to me." She turned and wrapped her arms around him, holding him tightly for a long moment before kissing the side of his neck, his cheek, and then his lips. "I love you so much, Albus. This has been the most wonderful, romantic, memorable two weeks of my life. I can't believe how much trouble you've been to in order to plan our time here and surprise me at every turn. This is truly the perfect end to the perfect holiday." Albus smiled and caressed her cheek before leaning down to capture her lips in a soft but loving kiss. "I'm glad you've enjoyed yourself so much. Everything I've done on this trip was so that we could completely enjoy our time together, and it's been so freeing not having to worry about prying eyes or gossiping acquaintances. I feel like we've really been a couple for these two weeks, that our relationship has grown and perhaps changed in some ways. Am I crazy?" He gave her a half smile, but his eyes were questioning. "Not at all, I know exactly what you mean. I hate to think about going home in the morning and not being able to share everything with you from the moment I wake up in the morning until the moment I fall asleep that night." Minerva suddenly looked hopelessly sad as she started to turn away from Albus and look back at the city. "It's been too nice, I think." This wasn't the way Albus had planned the evening at all. He was pleased to know Minerva felt the same way he did, but he'd never wanted to make her sad. Never ever again did he want to be the cause of such a haunting look in her lovely green eyes. He turned her to face him again and tried to look cheerful. "Well, I was sort of hoping that we could change things at home to be more like they've been here. So that we could have more time together." It was Minerva's turn to look at him questioningly. "I never want to fall asleep alone, or wake without you in my arms again. I'm hoping you'll agree to move into my rooms at Hogwarts and really share our lives together as we've been doing here." Minerva's eyes widened in surprise and excitement. For a moment, she couldn't react at all, then she threw her arms around Albus' neck. "Really? Oh Albus, I'd love that!" Albus laughed as he caught her, lifting her off the floor of the basket for a moment. "Yes, really," he teased. He set her down and kissed her again. "I love you so much." "I love you, too." Minerva rested her head against his chest, looking out across the ocean, her arms still wrapped tightly around him. He held her close and rested his cheek against the top of her head as they watched the stars come to life in the sky above, reflected in the waves below and mirrored by the lights in the city behind.

I lost this one, but I'm glad I came back. I think you threw us off with the lack of marriage proposal (or at least threw me off). Nice work. Sometimes we just need to read some happy times to remind us that they are sometimes possible.
It was especially nice to see the give and take of their relatinoship here, becasue sometimes with these stories, only one of them is going out of the way to be extravagent for the other. Thanks for it all!

YAY! YAY! YAY! Thanks for updating. I don't know how I missed it, but I have been a bit distracted lately. oh well. *shrugs* I loved the ending too....the ballon ride was awesome. I admit I was surprised there wasn't a proposal either but this is good...gives more a feeling of reality. I hope they can work things to their approval back at the school. This was such a lovely, fluffy fic. Cheers! Stef =o)
