My gift for EloquentPhoenix, whom I adore.

"Hermione, I'm sick of this studying! It's snowing out, we could be making snow men!" whined Ron from his pacing spot near the window of the empty common room.
"Oh, relax Ronald. It's been snowing for weeks, and our finals start tomorrow."
"All the more reason to play and enjoy our fleeting youth." Ron begged.
"Our youth isn't going anywhere, Ron, and besides we're almost done for tonight." Hermione said, not entirely unsympathetic to Ron's bout of cabin fever.
Ron grumbled and slumped on the windowsill. "I'm missing everything." He moaned.
Hermione rolled her eyes and went back to her textbook. "You aren't missing anything. No one else is out there either."
Harry, who had been staring out the window lost in a daydream, returned suddenly. "Actually, Hermione, Professor McGonagall is out there." He said.
Ron nodded, receiving conformation for some internally held truth, "Yeah, it's a problem when McGonagall is having more fun than we are."
Hermione ignored him and asked "What is she doing?", intrigued enough to abandon her book and creep up to the window with the boys.
"She's walking." Harry replied.
"Lucky." Ron complained, kicking at the floor.
"Hush, Ron. I want to find out what she's doing." Hermione said.
"Isn't that spying?" Harry asked, with a smile.
"Oh, come off it." Hermione said glancing at Harry, annoyed.
McGonagall was nearing the front entrance of the school where an inconspicuous sprig of mistletoe hung above, in the archway of the doors. She had tunnel vision, however. She clearly didn't even see it.
"You should run down there and plant one on her." Harry suggested with a laugh when Professor McGonagall stopped beneath the Mistletoe to search for something in her robes.
"Ugh!!!" Ron exclaimed. "Don't even joke about that!"
Hermione shushed them and gasped as the great doors opened suddenly and Professor Dumbledore appeared. He was smiling and he started talking to a flustered Professor McGonagall. Apparently she had yet to find what she was searching for. The trio watched in horror as Professor Dumbledore pointed up at the mistletoe and stepped towards her boldly. The next thing any of them knew, the two Professors were kissing. Not the way any of them had ever seen anyone kissed before. Not like a married couple. Not like the movies. Better.
Suddenly Ron snapped. "AAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" he bolted from the window.
Harry gaped, completely shocked. Mortified, mostly. He'd seen some gruesome things, but never like this. It was like watching a car crash, he just couldn't look away. No matter how morbidly grotesque.
Hermione gave a tremendous sigh. "I love the holidays." She said, wistfully.
When Dumbledore finally departed, he took off the way Professor McGonagall had come. McGonagall, for her part, stood frozen, one hand lingering on her lips. She seemed shocked. Harry was half convinced she was going to hex Dumbledore back to Primary school.
"Ron, get over here." Hermione snapped upon finding Ronald whimpering in a corner.
"Is it safe?" he asked, traumatized.
"Yes, it's safe. Get back over here."
Ron timidly made his way back to the window. Just in time, of course, to see McGonagall break into a run, chasing after Dumbledore. Apparently she called out for him because he stopped and turned just as she flung herself into his arms.
"That can't be McGonagall." Harry noted, flabbergasted.
"Of course it is." Hermione grinned, as the two down below started kissing again.
Ron fainted.
