Betrayed

Betrayed by the boy who’d become a son. He fell and I wasn’t there I was doing as I must to protect the children. I never even suspected that he would destroy my life. I sit shocked now the Headmistress of Hogwarts showing a passive face to the world. I say not a word to Umbridge or others who have gathered that I would greatly love to harm. I can’t. If I speak I shall break and I mustn’t break. Albus is gone my beloved is gone. I walk back into the school silent trying not to see all the couples happy. Tonks got her wolf. Fleur got her Weasley. The children are realizing their feelings. I want to hate them but I can’t. I had Albus for 50 years now he is gone. For the first time in my life I am alone. I find myself walking into our bedroom and laying down on the bed. It hurts even 4 stunners to the chest do not hurt so. I curl into his pillow and only then do the tears begin. I’m really alone. It finally hit me. Albus Dumbledore is dead and I am a widow.

I am still in denial about this whole thing but I can't believe how JK made Minerva seem so unfeeling and cold ect. I think Minerva was rather ooc in HBP.

Anyway........Thanks for sharing this story with us. I hope there is something to explain the way she acted and how the others acted in the book, in the final installment.

So sad but so well written. I agree with Alesia - I hope JK actually lets her have a real scene, but it's always from Harry's POV. Arg.
