I might as well start myself. Mine is POA, for various reasons. It has enough adult bits to keep me entertained. The flow is perfect, the humour is marvellous and the plot fits together like a jigsaw. Enough scary and happy moments. Almost as if JKR wrote it with a scale in her hand, measuring out ingredients to come up with the perfect mix. And boy, did she succeed!

GOF for me. I just love the tournament, and all the crazy sub-plots. Christy

PS for me mostly because Harry is still naive. Its got lots of Minerva and some Hooch and since my original ship was Kittyhawk I love it. Plus you can read the whole book in like an hour and a half.

I think I like OotP the best. I didn't the first time I read it (Harry is more of a brat in OotP then in any other book) but it is soo rich with information. I love the backstory all of it even the weird bits no one really cares about.

I love Order of the Pheonix the most. I hated Umbridge, but loved the way everyone dealt with her, especially Minerva, Flitwick, and the twins. It was funny, it made me angry, it made me cry... Prior to OOTP, POA was my favorite, and I was sure it would remain so, but now...I think OOTP will always be my fav, because the 7th already has one very big thing against it: It's the end. AL

i liked CoS which is odd as I seriously have a phobia of snakes (not diagnosed though, too scared to go in for testing...) I don't know why but I liked it a lot the 2nd time I read it. (the first time when I read the end it was right before I went to bed...bad idea...)

After the 6th I thought that would always be my favorite. But it appers that I am addicted to the hot chocolate, them standing together when G,R and H come back from the chamber, and oh god I just love it. The HUGE BIG point of why I don´t like the 6th now is cos of Albus ( I am gonna let snape wear a pink tutu and make him dance in the great hall, and then boil him in acid...oh yes were was I?) and i agree with amandahleigh, the 7 has the end, althought I am so exited to see more about the uses of dragon blood, and Albuses family,( Hi min) and i hope Minerva uses her cane on Umbridege and Skrimregor and kills HIM with it....(leave my Albus alone!

I think I will have to say OotP, Minerva comes into her own in this book though I feel she has some of the best lines in the books and the films.

OotP for me as well... It has lots of Min in it and the twins are great! I think the way the teachers and students deal with Umbridge is great and gives many funny moments.

I had to go with OotP but really I also liked GoF I love the tournaments but I was more happy to read about Minerva and Umbridge leaving! Besides OotP gave a lot of reasons for people to write shippers Lady Jolly

It's really hard to choose... but I said GOF. I love the tournament and the Yule Ball and just everything. OOTP was great, but I was just really angry at Umbridge throughout the whole book so it distracted me from liking it, lol. I really liked all of them, though; it's so hard to pick just one!

Has to be HBP, aside from the obvious bit at the end. But it ties up ends, creates new ones, leads to Book 7 nicely. And then there's the huge Albus and Minerva moment when she cries.

I like PS, and why? Well, maybe I liked that when Harry heard first time that he is a wisard. And he was then so young and he wasn't used to be a famous boy. Harry was then really sweet 'little' boy.

I so chose the fifth book.... I mean, I guess it makes sense that a lot of people would chose OOTP because it is so proof for our MMADness..... Right? LOL! I so loved that book for a lot of reason, but that was the main one... LOL! So glad I'm not in the minority on this one... ~mmadlyinlove~

HBP, mostly cause we see many relationships in this book, like Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione (okay, so it's ont OFFICIAL) and Remus/Tonks. YAY REMUS/TONKS! ;D ;D ;D

OOTP, cos its so dark and cool, and Minn's love for Albus begins to show stronger

'Order of the Phoenix' for sure. Minerva really came out into her own in this book and it was FUNNY!! Probably not the usual sense of humour but the acerbic wit of Min when she dealt with Umbridge...brilliant! Of course, she then got stunned (and caused me to cry) and then Sirius died (didn't cry there but still sad - what can I say; I'm a little attached to my Min!') but it was brilliant. Harry's not my favourite character anyway so his little hissy fits didn't bother me too much because a Minerva/Umbridge showdown was generally just a few pages away!

Oh I agree 100%. OotP was by far the best book for me. I liked that Min's caracter was developed too. :-)

As far as shipping goes, OOTP is the best because we understand more about Min and their relationship is rather obvious...to me anyway. But MMADness aside, POA is and always has been my favorite. I love Lupin and I like how this book becomes a turning point for the series.

I agree about POA childminerva. For me this is when Harry Potter stops being just a childrens series and the story takes on a new dimention...just my two pence.. :-)

Prior to OotP, PoA was my favorite. OotP has more McGonagall in the story so I liked it and all the emotions the book made me go through (hated for Umbridge, sorry for a few other characters, seeing Madame Maxime and Hagrid in a new light, I felt like I was PMSing). PoA was the only book that didn't follow the whole "Voldemort VS Harry" plot so I loved it very much.

lol... so true... I loved PoA before OOTP. PoA doesn't revoles around the 'Evil Voldemort vs Harry and Harry wins' plot..
