Wasn't there a thing a while ago where people were saying that M.G.Mcgonagall couldn't be Minerva, because the dates were wrong?? (I like Katherine, but Grace is still a pretty name) Yea, Min taught James Potter and Co. |

I always thought Minerva would have a scottish middle name, but I can't think what. In fact I'm trying to come up with a scottish or even gaelic middle name for her, for a fanfic I'm writing. So far the only gaelic names I liked turned out to be Irish gaelic not Scottish gaelic - gaelics so confusing lol.

I orriginally put Athena for my vote but I found some other names that happened to like as well. I like Aileana and Mai as well as Athena. |

I voted Katherine because she is named after her mother.
Minerva Katherine McGonagall-Dumbledore
Mother: Honoria Katherine Harris-McGonagall (well in Kat and Fi anyway)
It's Katherine because it means pure. wisdom pure is what she is! XD

I am not sure what it would be. However, in the first movie when you look at the trophy case it clearly states M. G. McGonagall 1971. It's listed on the right shield after Harry's dad. The only problem I have with their dates is that Minerva would have been teaching at that time and would not have been a student. So, I dunno.
